5 Dream NXT Women's Division Matches
The WWE women’s division is stacked especially when we look
over at the NXT Women’s division. With so many huge names being added to the
mix and international stars making an impact on the black and gold brand there
is an endless list of dream match involving these talents. Now, it may be a
while before see some of these encounters take place however, there are many of
which could just be waiting around the corner to go down as a new classic we
will be talking about for many years to come.
Chelsea Green vs Candice LeRae
There are some huge character differences between Chelsea
Green and Candice LeRae but when it comes down to it both women are equally
talented professional wrestlers with passion and drive like no other. Green and
LeRae has had a long journey to get to where they are right now and along the
way have worked some truly epic standout classics both shining in bouts against
female and male opponents. When we take into consideration their experience and
very similar wrestling ability there can be no denying that when put together
in one on one competition fans are very likely to see an instant classic. Give
these two enough time in the ring and what we potentially have here is a match
of the year candidate that could take women’s wrestling in the WWE to new
heights. Both women are so skilled they could easily main event any NXT show
including live specials.
Deonna Purrazzo vs Io Shirai
As far as intense performers go you don’t quite reach the
level often of Deonna Purrazzo and Io Shirai. Both incredible strikers and
massively experienced its clear that when you put them in the ring head to head
a very competitive and unpredictable bout is sure to take place. Deonna is very
comfortable in the area of submissions and strikes and when you put her opposite
Io who has bangs of experience, comfortable on the top tope and a true risk-taker we’re promised a mini clash in styles and similarities sure to present something
very standout! It’s also an opponent like Io who I believe could bring out the
best in Deonna and showcase her as a true future champion while for Io this is
a chance to show just how wide her move set and possibly a whole other side.
Mercedes Martinez vs Shayna Baszler
Mercedes Martinez and Shayna Baszler are most certainly no
stranger to one another. Working alongside each other prior to signing to the WWE
and meeting in the first Mae Young Classic their history and chemistry is part
of what makes this such a dream matchup. While we have seen them collied before
what’s so different now however is where these women are in their careers. Baszler, in particular, has come so far since the last time these two met one on one. She’s
a former two-time champion and arguably the most dominant force in the history
of the NXT Women’s division. She has gained more experience and become a huge
name on the black and gold brand and the WWE as a whole. Colliding with
Martinez now gives Baszler the chance to work a completely different kind of
angle to what we have seen from her already. This is the opportunity to put
Baszler in a very personal storyline that could see her pushed to new heights
by a woman who knows her incredibly well. Not to mention it would be a huge way
to introduce Martinez as a full-time member of the NXT Women’s division by
having her run Shayna out of the black and gold brand.
Candice LeRae vs Shotzi Blackheart
We all know just how stacked the NXT women’s division is
today and it's arguably the best women’s division in pro wrestling today with
Candice LeRae and Shotzi Blackheart proving that to be true and showcasing just
how diverse the division really is. Now, Blackheart is a very new addition to
the NXT roster but has already had heads turning when she eliminated Shayna Baszler
in a recent battle Royal and her popularity amongst wrestling fans proving to
be a huge factor. Of course, we are yet to see what Shotzi can bring to the
table but anyone aware of her work knows she is an intense, fast-paced, daredevil not afraid to push the boundaries and go one step bigger to get an
advantage. Looking at the history of both Blackheart and LeRae what we have
here is a bout that is sure to provide some epic spots that have us on the edge
of our seats. The intensity is so similar between these two women that fans really
are promised something epic and very exciting here that makes for something so
different from anything else. It’s an opponent like Blackheart who is also sure
to remind fans of the Candice Lerae we know from the days before she signed
with the WWE.
Dakota Kai vs Tegan Nox
If there any match we can be sure is going to take place
within the coming months if not weeks is Tegan Nox vs Dakota Kai. Their rivalry
kickstarted at the War Games event last year when Dakota attacked Knox preventing
her from competing in the historic match up. Since then we have seen tensions
rise between the two and its only a matter of time before they come to blows
one on one inside the ring and when that happens we can expect something very
special to take place. The character change for Kai has taken her to new levels
and given her the chance to stand out far greater and in a bout against Nox, we
can expect to see the best of both these women. The pair are very similar in
the ring, have had identical journey’s and their history as a tag team makes
this is a classic storyline with a promising in-ring result. Both women are so
talented and so similar that the bout here is without a doubt sure to be a
special one but what is vital here is time. Give these two enough time and they
will prove they are both future champions but could also work a potential match
of the year candidate bout.
With such a stacked women’s division, the list of dream
matches is endless and we only touched on just a few of them today! NXT has
arguably the greatest women’s division in wrestling today and so the future is
both very exciting and very very promising.
