Must See Matches For Malakai Black in AEW

 Last week I was left speechless and the most excited I have been over a wrestling moment in a pretty long time when former WWE superstar Aleister Black made his shocking AEW debut! Under the new name Malakai Black, the former NZXT champion surprised the wrestling world when he took out Arn Anderson and Cody Rhodes this past week and the arrival has left everyone excited and imagining the dream matches about to take place! In today’s blog post I’m going to be discussing some of the encounters I am desperate to see Black work over in All Elite Wrestling and as usual I would love to know what you guys think so be sure to leave a comment below or tweet me over at @TezangiVictoria.

 

Darby Allin

Darby6 Allin is without a doubt one of the most exciting and thrilling young talents on the AEW roster and since the birth of the company the former TNT champion has been a big-time standout going from strength to strength and so is it any surprise that he kick starts this list off as one of the top stars I want to see collide with new arrival Malakai Black? Both men work a dark and intense character, unpredictable in their own ways and extremely exciting to watch! The collision between the two dark persona’s is sure to bring out the best in both men especially Allin who could massively benefit from working with a talent like Black who possesses more experience than Allin and a slightly wider move set. Seeing the smaller agile star in Darby who is comfortable le on the top rope and a total daredevil work against a strong striking talent like Black would make for a big-time must see that could easily be noted as Allin’s best performance to date and a thrilling encounter to be noted as a highlight of the year.

 

Jon Moxley

I have personally always wanted to see Jon Moxley and Black work a lengthy match-up but also given an in-depth storyline to work too! These are two men who are different in terms of their in-ring styles but are sure to seriously complement each other in the ring. Both talents have a chip on their shoulder, both are intense performers with a lot of attitudes behind what they do; however, the storyline potential here is incredible! There is a dark side to Moxley backed up by his hardcore style of wrestling we have seen so often throughout his career and an angle that sees Black push that side out of him more leaving fans wondering whether the two could work together or see Moxley realize he is better and more dangerous on his own is something I can certainly get behind. During Malakai’s career, we have also seen him work those more barbaric hardcore matches and know he can shine massively in such competition and with that in mind, I would absolutely love to see these collide in a simple wrestling match but even more so a stipulation contest that sees both men push each other to their limits.

 

Pac

Pac vs Malakai Black is simply a must-see match for the ages that could mainly event any show! The striking abilities, the wrestling skill, and athleticism these two men possess are nothing short of incredible and I am desperate to see them come face to face inside an AEW ring. Here we have two stars with a lot of experience, men who have traveled the world and know the craft better than anyone! Sure to complement each other in a one-on-one collision fans can expect a fast pace, intense, action-packed match-up that shows the world why they have both always been top talents worthy of main eventing. There is no need whatsoever for a stipulation or major storyline to build to this contest for their wrestling abilities and characters will give us all we need! The no nonsenses zero fucks attitude from Pac pairs well with the persona of Malakai Black promising something special. Neither Black or Pac hold back in the ring and are capable of causing serious harm to their opponents, upon sharing the spotlight and going one on one it's clear these two will steal the spotlight and deliver a match wrestling fans will be talking about for decades!

 

Kenny Omega

There was no way I was going to be able to write this list and not include Kenny Omega! This has been a dream match of mine for a very long time indeed and we are so close to seeing it take place! Omega and Black are without a shadow of a doubt two major standouts in the wrestling scene today, two of the best of the best and we all know that a five-star encounter is just around the corner between the pair. This is the time of contest I could easily sit back and watch for a full hour and still be left not wanting it to end. Kenny and Malakai both have a great deal of experience, have traveled the world and while having their sure differences in the ring they share similarities also that promise a collision for the ages and while it may seem unlikely right now Black sits as the talent, I want to see dethrone Omega and for so many reasons! The shift in the overall feel of the main event scene and AEW as a whole with Black as champion is something I would love to see.

 

Adam Page

And to conclude this little list we of course have the one and only, Adam Page. I will admit that I haven’t ever been as big of an Adam Page fan as the rest of the wrestling world, but he continues to be a major AEW standout and someone I honestly do always enjoy watching. Since the arrival of AEW, hangman has been a part of some of the best and most memorable matches in the company’s young career. The personalities of these two stars are strikingly different but their passion for this industry and incredible move sets. Simply sharing the ring together is sure to create a deafening reaction from the live crowd and high expectations! There is not a doubt in my mind that this has been a dream match for many fans for such a long time and these two will easily put on an incredible match no fan will want to miss out on.
