Top Ten Seth Rollins Moments

There is no question about it, Seth Rollins has become one of the biggest stars in the WWE and wrestling world today sure to go on to become a legend in this era of world wrestling entertainment. The former Shield star has gone from strength to strength, proven to shine in both the role of a heel and a babyface, and has become one of the hottest and most popular stars on the roster today but exactly what has been his best moments?

Slaying the Beast at Wrestlemania

One of my personal favourite Seth Rollins moments of all time came from this years opening Wrestlemania match up where he surprised the world by dethroning Brock Lesnar. Watching this live at a viewing event the atmosphere in the room when Rollins slew the beast was insane and reminded me why I love pro wrestling! This was the perfect way to kick start the night and went down as a career-changing moment and victory for Rollins. A highlight of the year and generally epic moment I remember literally jumping up from my seat as we witnessed him become the Universal Champion on the grandest stage of them all.

Confronting Triple H at NXT Takeover

In two thousand and seventeen, Seth Rollins took part in a fantastic feud with Triple which would eventually see him become the kingslayer! The history between the pair made for one of the best storyline’s in recent memory and while this pick in the list today may not be a huge fan favourite it has gone down as a personal favourite. In what was a brilliant example of how well the storytelling was during this feud, Rollins returned to the place that made him, the start of his relationship with Triple H, NXT. At an NXT Takeover event, Rollins confronted his soon to be Wrestlemania opponent and knowing the impact he made in NXT this for me was a very cool and special moment.

First NXT Champion

The history of the NXT championship is a pretty damn impressive one! Former champions have included the likes of Shinsuke Nakamura, Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, and Sami Zayn amongst many but before any of those names could get their hands on the most prestigious title on the black and gold brand it was Seth Rollins who made history, set the bar and kick-started a new era. Defeating Jinder Mahal to become the first-ever NXT Champion it was in this moment fans witnessed the first sign this was a man to seriously watch out for, a talent whom would go on to achieve great things and become a leader and face of the WWE in the future.

That Jump

High flyers in the world of pro wrestling are doing better than ever! There is an array of fantastic stars across the industry raising the bar and shedding a light on an exciting style of wrestling and Seth Rollins happens to be one of those talents. Throughout his WWE career so far Rollins has stood out on several occasions for his high-flying monomers but when he and the rest of his Shield brothers took on Evolution at the two thousand and fourteen PPV there was a certain spot that grabbed fan attention and had everyone stunned. Going up high into the crowd Rollins leapt onto his opponents taking out Ambrose in the process in what was a highlight of this match.

Plan B

One of the most iconic moments in recent WWE memory comes from the shocking conclusion to an episode of Monday Night RAW back in two thousand and fourteen that saw Seth Rollins turn on his Shield partners in a surprising turn of events. After defeating Evolution twenty-four hours prior, Rollins couldn’t resist another offer and surprised fans by siding with Triple H and the Authority and turning on Rollins and Ambrose in the process. Rollins major push that would come soon after was most certainly much deserved and this shocking heel turn led to one of the best heel runs any WWE superstar has had in the past ten years!

Returning at Extreme Rules 2016

After months away from the ring due to a serious knee injury fans were thrilled to see Seth Rollins make his huge return to the WWE at the Extreme Rules PPV in twenty sixteen. Taking out Roman Reigns in the closing moments of the PPV everyone watching was buzzing to see the former champion back inside a WWE ring after such a serious injury! The crowd reaction was one to leave any with Goosebumps and the impact he left on the night made everyone away that he was coming for gold and Reigns’ spotlight.

Double Champion

Back in two thousand and fifteen, Seth Rollins made history once again when he defeated John Cena becoming both the United States Champion and the WWE Champion! Defeating Cena in itself is a major deal especially when taking place at one of the biggest events of the year but taking his US title and becoming a dual champion is a rare and special moment for a WWE superstar with Rollins achieving something almost impossible to see done and booked today.

That Triple Threat

There have been so many amazing in-ring performances from Seth Rollins throughout his WWE career so far that an entire list focusing on his best matches could also be conducted, however, picking out one of the best of the best to include today I just had to with his triple threat encounter with John Cena and Brock Lesnar back in twenty fifteen. Taking place at the Royal Rumble PPV Rollins looked to be the weakest link in this match standing as the smallest talent involved. A future hall of Famer in the shape of John Cena and a beast in Brock Lesnar it appeared as though this would not be the best of nights for Rollins however, it remains one of his best performances to date! Standing out in this match completely Rollins showcased what the new kind of main event star in the WWE looks like and had all eyes on him! There is no denying this was a turn around match for Rollins and night where he truly showed why he is one of the best of the best today.

Gauntlet

Twenty eighteen was another fantastic year for Seth Rollins! Reigning as IC champion, highlight feuds and standing as one of the biggest stars on Monday night RAW, however, one of the best moments of that year for Rollins and a highlight of his entire career so far was his performance in a Gauntlet match on an episode of RAW. Competing for over an hour this was a turn around moment for Seth who made a huge impact on this night. He turned heads even more than he already did prior to this match and it was after this performance things got even stronger and better for Rollins and it marked the start of his journey to exactly where he is now as the kingslayer once again proved to the world why he is one of the best in the world today.

Cashing in

To this day, my all-time favourite Seth Rollins moment comes from his huge cash in Wrestlemania! After capturing the Money in the Bank Brief Case back in two thousand and fourteen Rollins saw the perfect opportunity to cash in on the grandest stage of them all inserting himself into the Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar main event at Wrestlemania. Surprising the WWE universe Rollins walked out the brand-new WWE Champion and made history by making arguably the greatest cash in of all time. Not only is this a favourite Rollins moment but

He may not be the longest-serving WWE superstar on the roster today but already Seth Rollins has achieved so much! From fantastic matches to brilliant storylines, the Kingslayer has proven to be the star of today and one of the biggest and most important talents of the future in the WWE. Some of the moments we didn't mention included defeating Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania last year, reuniting with the Shield and capturing tag team gold in 2020 alongside Buddy Murphy.
