Dream NXT Mixed Match Challenge Teams: Part 2

A couple of weeks back I focused in on the WWE Mixed match challenge as I listed five NXT dream team participants and I mentioned there that I had so much fun writing that that I wanted to upload a part two and so here it is! The Mixed match challenge remains something I am totally loving in the WWE right now for its fun and totally different image and while we are no closer to an NXT version or stars of the black and yellow brand participating its most certainly fun to take a look at some of the dream teams and so here are another five!

Bianca Belair & EC3

Over in part one of this blog post, I included Bianca Belair teaming her up with real-life husband, Montez Ford and while they remain a fave Bianca does make for an excellent partner for several other superstars and EC3 is defiantly a close second! They both share a confidence, arrogance, and unbelievable athletic skill and wrestling ability. Both hybrid talents Belair and EC3 provide fans with constant exciting in-ring performances the NXT universe forever enjoys watching them both compete. Teaming up together would make for an exciting, athletic, and confident team fans could totally invest in!

Kairi Sane & Aleister Black

With Kairi Sane not only the first ever Mae Young Classic winner but also the current NXT Women’s champion as well as Aleister Black being one of the most must-see talents and a former NXT champion these two make for one heck of a special team. Both massively experienced, over, and full of in-ring talent and skill tough to top the team of Kairi Sane and Aleister Black would go down as big-time favourites. Finding a rival team to take these two out would not be an easy job with both superstars possessing an intense feel but series in-ring abilities that put them right at the top and arguably the best wrestling duo to feature in this list. While different in character the pair share talent more than any other team we will be talking about today.

Adam Cole & Taynara Conti

As of right now, WWE fans haven’t seen all too much of Taynara Conti. A participant in last years Mae Young Classic as well as brief appearances on NXT and even Wrestlemania earlier this year she is a promising star sure to receive more TV time within the next year. The reason I have included the team of Taynara and Adam Cole in today’s blog post is simply because this is the one team I really do believe the WWE would put together if they ever were to have a mixed match challenge involving NXT talent. The two have briefly worked together during the Undisputed Era’s rivalry with SAnItY and there is belief Cole could really bring out more in Conti.

Lacey Evans & Lars Sullivan

Up next is another team that may be a little surprising to some but one I do believe could work massively! Lacey Evans is a woman I honestly cannot get enough and super excited to see more of in the coming months! Lars Sullivan is another NXT star I have been crazy high on for the past year at least and put together the two make for an underdog team with bags of potential. Lacey brings plenty of attitude and sass but is a total beast in the ring. She stands a lot taller than many opponents and her strength and athleticism is something that is tough to top in the ring. Sullivan while possesses less character is too a total beast in the ring full of power and surprising speed also. The duo would remind many of Alexa Bliss and Braun Strowman and what they brought to the mixed match challenge.

Aliyah & Raul Mendoza

And finally, we have an interesting little duo who would most certainly also take on the role as the underdogs. Neither Aliyah or Raul Mendoza have really come up as two of NXT’s most popular stars and so creating a way the NXT universe could really get behind them may not be as easy of a task, however, giving them time to show what they could do in the ring could change that massively. Something like the Mixed Match Challenge could really elevate the careers of superstars like these two which makes it a shame neither have been able to take part. It’s clear both these superstars have so much talent so much more to show then they have been able to and I really do hope that regardless they get an opportunity soon.

And there we go, that rounds up part two! I had loads of fun writing these posts and cannot wait to write more stuff like this in the future! As always I would love to know what you guys think so feel free to leave a comment below or tweet me over at @TezangiVictoria
