Top WWE Heels of the Year

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well and good. As you all know by now, my of the year season here on my blog has officially started witch means all month long I will be recapping the best and the worse of two thousand and fifteen in the world of pro wrestling! Throughout December I will be highlighting the best matches, divas, superstars, and moments of the year and so far we have already covered a great deal of what needs to be covered. In today's blog post we are counting down the best heels of two thousand and fifteen! Last year I did do this blog post but instead of having a list, I had one post where I spoke about one superstar and listed them as my heel of the year and that was it. In fact I will link that blog post bellow so you can check that out and have a look at the different. I have really enjoyed writing this blog post and I hope you guys enjoy reading it. It was one of my favourites of the season and I'm so glad it is ready to go up and I am satisfied with the list. Usually I write a top five but this blog post is only a top four mainly because I wanted to do something a little different and shake it up a little and to be honest I do think these are the best of the best when it comes to bad guys (and girls) of the WWE.

4) Sasha Banks
Sasha Banks has without a doubt been the heel diva of twenty fifteen. There hasn't been a women to match her bad guy ways more this past year and this list would not have been complete without mentioning the Boss. Spending half her year in NXT and the other half on the main roster, Sasha has become one of the biggest names in the WWE today, taking gender out of the picture completely. Throughout the year she has worked as a strong heel, allying her self with several divas on both the NXT and main roster, all of witch have boosted her popularity even more and added to her credibility. If we take a look at her alliance with Becky Lynch at the start of the year, Banks used Becky to her own persona advantage. It meant that Sasha didn't have to fight her battles alone and had the help of Lynch to get her to the top and that's exactly what we saw, when Sasha turnt on Becky during that iconic fatal four way witch saw her become the third NXT Women's Champion in history. In the Summer Sasha got her call up to the main roster where she sided with Naomi and Tamina to create Team Bad where Banks found herself the centre of attention and the Boss of her team. Every single promo we have seen from Sasha this past year has seen her prove why she deserved to be in my list of the top heels of the year. Her skills of manipulation used on the likes of Bayley, Becky Lynch, Charlotte and more have highlighted her as one of the most devious villains in the WWE. Even after putting one of the greatest matches of the year, Sasha continued to attack arguably the biggest baby face in NXT with degrading, insulting and personal comments fired at Bayley. Her interviews have been nothing but solid and she has always remained in character. Take the moment in witch she one the NXT Women's Championship. Even when instructed to let her emotions out and clear after her victory she stayed in character, yelling at the crowd and remaining as the boss. Talking of staying in character. Looking back at every single one of her matches Sasha has stayed in her boss character without going off track for a second. Mocking her opponents, getting personal, and yelling abuse, Sasha has worked her heel character perfectly. I mean come on how many superstars do we see make a seven year old little girl cry? Sasha is ruthless and so amazingly fun to watch. You love to hate her and that is why she had to be in today's blog post.

3) Seth Rollins
For the past year and a half now, Seth Rollins has been one of the greatest heels in all of the WWE, there's no denying that what so ever. Since turning on he's Shield brothers back in two thousand and fourteen, Rollins has been portrayed as the top heel on the roster and he has embraced that fully and I can honestly sit here and say that I believe he is one of the best heels we have seen in recent years. Twenty fifteen, Rollins continues working as the best bad guy on the scene. With he's mic work improving more and more week after week, Seth started delivering amazing promo after amazing promo, kick starting Monday night RAW and Thursday night Smackdown on several occasions, all of witch proving why he was the best heel the WWE had. He managed to hit he's opponents right where it hurt whenever he held that mic and after making it personal he made sure that he always reminded us of that massive heel turn of he's that we all witnessed last year, making us all hate him all over again. Throughout the year he took on the biggest and best names in the company and some of the biggest baby faces on the roster, from the likes of John Cena, Randy Orton, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, and even Sting and every single time he found himself out on top. Every single feud saw Rollins take the spotlight and work as such a phenomenal heel. He's tactics to keeping hold of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship were well written and pushed him as the top bad guy even more. He's played the coward champion, hiding behind the Authority and he has also took on the role of proving himself and facing some of the biggest names in WWE history all on he's own, without any help. Rollins has manipulated everyone to stay on top and keep hold of he's gold from the Authority, to Kane, to J&J Security and it has always worked perfectly well for him and he's character. There is no denying that Seth Rollins is one of the best heels in the WWE and one of the best heels of this generation. Despite currently being out of action due to an injury there was no way I was not going to have Seth Rollins in this blog post today.

2) New Day
At number two in my top WWE Heel of two thousand and fourteen is the only faction/tag team to feature in today's blog post, of course it is the New Day. They may have had a rough little start of the year for Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Big E, the pair have found themselves ending twenty fifteen as three of the top stars on the roster and three of the biggest heels in the WWE. Personally, I have been a fan of the New Day from day one. I have loved the idea, loved the three superstars put together and have always seen the potential. While they were decent baby faces at the start of the year they weren't were they should have been and a heel turn is exactly what they needed. Once they had their heel turn things changed massively for the New Day! They went from being just another tag team to being the best things in the WWE this year! Their up beat character and power positivity has just been so amazing to watch and so unbelievably entertaining. I can't even out into words just how entertaining the New Day are and have been throughout the year. Their personal, insulting, but humerus segments and promos have been so so strong, so entertaining and so well done. Their such an original, unique set of characters and such original, unique heels, there's no one like them around right now and it just works. They cater to both young and older audiences and throughout every single feud they have been in this year, even though they have been taking on our favourites, you just can't wait to see what they have planned next. What their going to say and do next and that's what you need to have to be a successful WWE Superstars. We have seen them do everything to keep hold of their tag team championships this year, using the best heels moves possible. Their a great character and without a doubt three of the best heels of the year. Such a smart idea and such a great success.

1) Kevin Owens
And finally, at number one in my top WWE Heels of two thousand and fifteen, we have the one and only, Kevin Owens. When I was writing my notes for this blog post I knew who was going to be number one. I knew mid way through the year who was going to be my heel of the year. It wasn't a difficult decision what so ever. Throughout the year there has been only one WWE superstar who has stood out more than anyone else especially when it comes down to being the bad guy. One superstar who has managed to become one of the strongest heels we have seen inn the WWE in a very very long time. The very special, the very talented, Kevin Owens. Just like Sasha Banks, Owens has spent a great deal of time working both on the NXT Roster and the main roster and he has been a phenomenal heel on both. We all know that he had a massive debut night last year when he shocked the world by attacking he's friend and biggest baby face in NXT history, Sami Zayn. Th early stages of twenty fifteen saw Owens continue feuding with Zayn in what was one of the best NXT feuds of the year. It was personal, intense, and extremely well written. Owens told a great story throughout and this was something we have seen him do all year round. Every single feud he has worked,
especially against Sami Zayn and John Cena, Owens has made things so personal and so realistic that it was just so amazing. He's such a natural heel. It comes to him so easily, and it makes everything he does feel so much more real, intense, and personal. When he wrestles he tells a story so well and keeps in character perfectly, yelling abuse at he's opponents, mocking them and pushing the story even more. We have also seen him really get personal and show that he has a problem with many commentators too witch just adds to the list of reasons why I love Kevin Owens. We have seen him get a little personal with the likes of Michael Cole, Byron Saxton and of course, Alex Riley who he had a well written feud with earlier on in the year. This really does just add to the ruthless feel Owens brings and pushes him even more as a major, top heel. He has a problem with everyone on the roster, heel or baby face. He has take on the top baby faces in the company from Sami Zayn to Finn Balor to John Cena. He's promos and segments have been borderline perfect and showed why he really is such a phenomenal heel. Kevin Owens has had an amazing year and there really was no one better suited for the top spot when it came to the best heels of the year. Kevin Owens is officially my two thousand and fifteen heel of the year.

So that is my list this year! My favourite baby faces (in case you were wondering) consisted of Dean Ambrose, Finn Balor, Bayley, and Cesaro. Remember you can let me know who has been your heel of the year and baby face of the year by leaving a comment bellow or by tweeting me at @TezangiVictoria.
