Top 20 WWE Superstars of the Year PT2

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well and good! Today is the final day in my of the year season as I bring you part two in my top twenty superstars of the year. Part one was uploaded a couple of days back and I will make sure to link that alongside every other post in my of the year series bellow at the end of today's post. I just want to say thank you to everyone who has supported me this year. It's been a crazy twenty fifteen but I have had so much fun and I have enjoyed writing all these blog post and meeting so many awesome people. Next year will be my second year blogging and I cannot wait to get started! Remember you can let me know who has been your superstar of the year by leaving a comment bellow or by tweeting me at @TezangiVictoria.

10) Dean Ambrose
Kick starting my top ten WWE Superstars of the year is the lunatic fringe himself, Dean Ambrose. I'll be honest, I was expecting to have Ambrose much much higher up in the list, most probably in the top five but with an average working year the number ten spot does feel most necessary. He competed in some outstanding matches and some solid feuds throughout the year but over all the year was not as strong as I was expecting it to be for Ambrose. If we go right back to January, Ambrose had a great all round performance at the Royal Rumble. Coming down to the final four, he was the fan favourite for the win but unfortunately the WWE had other ideas and he was soon eliminated by Kane and the Big Show witch led to most of us giving up on the rumble completely. In the build up to Wrestlemania, Ambrose moved he's attentions to the Intercontinental Championship where he once again was one of the top fan favourites for the victory. At Mania he competed in an amazing ladder match for the championship alongside Luke Harper, R-Truth, Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, and Stardust where he was a stand of the match and pay per view despite not walking away with the victory and championship. After Mania we saw Ambrose begin to work stronger feuds that were away from championships and allowed him to focus more on building momentum and getting back on track. He had some great match ups against Bray Wyatt throughout the year. You could see that the two had great chemistry and every single time they stepped in the ring against one another they gave us all something very special. Two thousand and fifteen also saw the Ambrose/ Rollins feud come to light once again as the two had a great feud for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship witch saw them deliver a handful of great matches, some of witch you may have seen feature in my top twenty matches of the year. Through a great deal of two thousand and fifteen Ambrose and Reigns teamed up a lot! I mean the Ambreigns feels were high okay. They two proved time and time again that despite the fact the Shield are no longer they remain true to each other and their feud with the Wyatt family was just amazing! So well done. And most recently, we have been treated to a great Intercontinental Championship feud between Ambrose and Owens, witch is honestly a dream feud of mine. Like I said, I was expecting an even stronger year for Ambrose but it was absolutely amazing for him. He really did have some great moments throughout the year. Bring on twenty sixteen for the Ambrose Asylum.

9) Cesaro
Just like with Dean Ambrose, I was honestly expecting an even stronger year for Cesaro but if we take into consideration how underutilised he has been in the past, two thousand and fifteen was actually a really great year for Cesaro. At the start of the year we saw Cesaro continue working with Tyson Kidd as part of a fantastic tag team. If you have been reading my blog or following me on twitter for a great deal of time then you would know that at the beginning I wasn't a fan of Kidd and Cesaro working as a tag team. I spent a lot of time moaning and whining about the whole thing. I didn't get it, I wasn't backing the idea, and I didn't see the hype that a lot of people did see. But honestly after about a month and a half I was all for it. They very quickly became one of my favourite take teams on the roster and I was backing them one hundred and ten percent. Individually, these two are two of my favourite WWE superstars, putting them together you get something very very special. Team uninitialised. When they became the tag team champions I was over the moon and with time they just seemed to get better and better and better. They had great chemistry, they worked amazingly well together and they put on some outstanding matches throughout their run together, including an awesome performance at the Wrestlemania kick off show. When Tyson Kidd suffered a serious injury, it was time for Cesaro to go back to singles action but the best thing about it and what really worked in he's favour this year was the fact that he was working as a baby face. The WWE Universe have been saying for a long time that Cesaro should be working as a baby face and the moment they turnt him this year, he really did start to shine a whole lot more. He's connection with the fans is insanely strong. The Cesaro section was in full force every single week and he proved doubters wrong every single time he stepped into that ring and competed. Throughout the year he put on a handful of outstanding matches, many of witch were potential match of the year candidates. Taking on the likes of Roman Reigns, Sheamus, Seth Rollins, Rusev, Kevin Owens and more managing to make himself look amazingly well and bring out the best in he's opponents. He does without a deserve to be in the top spot, main eventing week in and week out and while he did get to main event a couple of times this year for RAW and Smackdown we know that there is so much more he is capable of. The solid storyline's and matches this year have meant that he is in at number nine in the top twenty but once he's back from he's injury and he get's going next year, things are only going up.

8) Undertaker
At number eight in my two thousand and fifteen top twenty superstars of the year is the one and only, the legendary, the phenom, the Undertaker. Celebrating twenty five years of Taker, twenty fifteen saw a great deal of the dead man and as a kid who grew up the biggest fan of the Undertaker this year was a great throwback and a great time to enjoy watching an icon compete as often as he did. The first time we saw him compete was back at Wrestlemania when he took on young and up and coming superstar, Bray Wyatt. I will admit that the match was not the best in the world but it was a solid performance from both talents and a match that allowed Taker to gain momentum and get back on track after a huge loss to Brock Lesnar at the last Wrestlemania pay per view. After that, we slowly saw the WWE build up the rematch of all rematches. A feud that would go down in history as one of the best the company has ever delivered/written. Brock Lesnar VS The Undertaker. After their controversial match at Wrestlemania thirty the two superstars kick started their feud once again with Taker looking for redemption. Loosing he's streak meant that the dead man quite literally had nothing else left to loose and that was pretty much the basis of their feud. Taker delivered a promo pushing the feud greatly and reminding us all why we love him so much. Seriously, that entrance will never ever get old or boring. Ever! Their first rematch at the SummerSlam pay per view in August really did live up to the expectations in my eyes. It had everything you could have asked for and the storytelling was great. By the end of the night, after a long battle it was taker who was left standing tall, and it was a one all situation. The controversial ending to yet another match of theirs led to the third and final rematch in the feud. The most important match of the feud. Once again another great showing from the two superstars but after a drawling match Lesnar walked out on top but of course the crowd showed their respect for the legend that is the Undertaker. We then got a great little twist. The start of another feud as Bray Wyatt once again set he's sights on the dead man. This of course led to another amazing storyline witch saw the brothers of destruction reunite one last time and pick up one last big win together. For the past several years now we have seen Taker take a much bigger seat back with few appearances, however this year we were treated massively with a handful of matches from him all of witch extremely memorable and well done. What an amazing year for a top top veteran.

7) Rusev
In at number seven in my top twenty superstars of the year is one of my personal favourite WWE Superstars of today, Rusev. Honestly, I cannot put into words just how much of a major fan I am of Rusev. I love the character, I love he's look,  I think he's an outstanding wrestler, decent on the mic and has so much potential it is un-real! Whether you love him or hate him I don't think there is a single person in the world that could deny he's talent When he debuted on the main roster in twenty fourteen he was clearly very impressive, very dominate and over time he really did show us more and more and he proved to be a serious contender. This year he really did up he's game and take things up to a whole new level. He's feud with Cena at the start of the year was hands down one of my favourites of the entire year. It was very very well done, yes it was overdone quite a bit but I enjoyed it so much and I was so invested in it. Rusev was very very impressive throughout the storyline and even though he fell to Cena couple of times and he did drop the title to him for me Rusev was the stand out with a fail. He really pushed himself and Cena and showed us what he really is capable of. Throughout the storyline the pair put on some phenomenal matches and you would have seen one them actually feature in my top twenty matches of the year blog post witch will be linked bellow at the end. He also had a great entrance and performance at he's first Wrestlemania witch deserves to be highlighted. One of Rusev's biggest storyline's of the year was of course the issues between him and Lana. He really did take on the controlling boyfriend role perfectly. He's performance week in and week out was so convincing and so well done on he's behalf (and Lana's) and it was here that Rusev's mic skills really did come to light and I was honestly very very impressed with what he showed us with he's mic ability. He's manipulation skills on Lana and Summer Rae were so convincing and so strong and powerful. I absolutely loved it. Throughout the year we also saw Rusev compete in a bunch of outstanding match of the year style matches against the likes of Roman Reigns, John Cena, Cesaro, Kevin Owens and more. Every single time he competes he manages to impress me and remind once again why I'm such a fan. Most recently Rusev has aliened himself with King Barrett, Alberto Del Rio, and the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Sheamus as part of the League of Nations and it honestly cold not have been a better idea and next move for him. This past year has been so strong for Rusev. He bounced back extremely well from he's injury, he made strong impact and secured himself a bright bright future in the WWE.

6) Brock Lesnar
Up next and in at number six in this year's top twenty superstars of the year is the beast, Brock Lesnar. We all know that Lesnar had a phenomenal twenty fourteen and so topping that was always going to be extremely difficult  but he honestly did have yet another dominate, amazing year this past year. He may not be undefeated any more but there is no denying he was once again one of the top superstars of the entire year yet again. Starting off, back in January we saw Lesnar defend he's WWE World Heavyweight Championship in an outstanding triple threat match against John Cena and Seth Rollins at the Royal Rumble pay per view. This was honestly one of the best matches of the entire year and quite possibly one of my favourite triple threat matches of all time. Lesnar's performance in this match was insane! He was seriously like Iron man. He bounced back from everything and was like a machine. Amazing, just amazing. And he was able to retain he's championship going on to defend it at Wrestlemania against Roman Reigns. Once again, he's match with Reigns was pretty much identical to he's match with Cena back at SummerSlam last year. He dominated Reigns and the entire match in true Lesnar style and if I'm being honest, I think this could have been one of the most barbaric, ruthless, and aggressive match Lesnar has competed in and has been throughout he's entire WWE career. A thew months after Wrestlemania Lesnar re-ignited he's feud with the Undertaker and after ending the streak last year, Lesnar was beaming with momentum despite loosing he's WWE World Heavyweight Championship a thew months back. Heading into SummerSlam the two had yet another great, captivating match, one that did feature in my top twenty matches of the year (that post will of course be linked bellow). After loosing Taker in the second match the third and final saw Lesnar with a new level of drive and determination and after a strong build up he headed into the pay per view once again with momentum on he's side and by the end of the night he was able to end the feud on a high picking up the big final victory. Lesnars year may not have been as strong as last but it was yet another dominate showing all round full of championship matches, one of the best feuds of the year, and some great storyline's.

5) New Day
Kick starting the top five superstars of the year is a the only tag team to feature in the list, of course I'm talking about the New Day. At first I wasn't sure whether or not to have all three member's of the New Day in at different numbers/points of the list or to just go for all three in at one number and that did seem like the best option in the end so I hope you guy's agree. Two thousand and fifteen has been amazingly well for the New Day. Honestly, I cannot put into words just how much I have enjoyed watching the New Day throughout the past year. They have easily become my favourite WWE Superstars on the roster and they without a doubt the best thing in the WWE today and have been throughout most of the year. I say most of the year because when they started out at the beginning of the year  when they were working as baby faces I wasn't sold completely on them. Of course they were entertaining and fun to watch and you could see all the potential but something was missing. The moment they had their heel turn everything started to change and more and more week after week we saw them just get better and better and better. Their mic work, I almost have no words to describe. Just amazing. Amazing. Their so fluent, such natural heels and every single thing that comes out of their mouth is just magic and it's almost always a success. What makes them so captivating and interesting is that they are such unique heels and characters. There literally is no one like them on the roster doing what they are doing. They complete separate themselves from everyone else and it makes them so so special. And it's not just their amazing mic work, they make up for it in the ring too. They all bring something different to the table and together it just works so so well. They are two time tag team champions for a reason and they have proved why week after week. Their sneaky tactic's to keep hold of the championships were so well done. At first I wasn't the biggest fan of Xavier Woods but I really have grown to love him, I think he's such a special talent and he really is the glue the group. As for Kofi, being apart of the New Day has enabled us to see a whole other side of him. I never ever knew he was so talented on the mic and he's charisma is just amazing! He really has had the best year of he's career. And as for Big E, you guys know that he is my favourite. Amazing, seriously he is just outstanding. Together, these guys have without question been the most entertaining superstars of the entire year.

4) Roman Reigns
In at number four we have Roman Reigns. Reigns has come so extremely far over the past year that he just had to be so high up in the list. Here is what I wrote about him in my top five most improved superstars of the year: Anyway, if you have been following me for the past year then you would know that right at the very start of the year I was far from a Roman Reigns fan. In fact I was probably one of he's biggest doubters. I hated how he was being shoved in our faces and down our throats. The WWE spent all of the twenty fifteen trying to make us love Roman Reigns and I don't think any of us want to be told who to like and who not to like and support. I also really didn't see the hype in him or understand why the WWE were backing him so much. He's move set was very very limited and predicable, he's mic work was beyond terrible, and he's character lacked development and interest and I just found him dull and boring to watch. When he won the Royal Rumble it was one of the most controversial moments probably in WWE history and it had everyone talking. The heated reaction meant that Roman Reigns really did have to up he's game and win over the WWE Universe and that was not going to be an easy thing to do but he embraced the hard work and worked really hard at winning everyone over and proving himself. He's turn around moment was without a doubt he's match with Daniel Bryan at Fastlane but he still had a long long way to go and so the fight continued and as time went by he really did start to win me over and I couldn't deny the fact that he was showing more and more improvements as time went on. After Wrestlemania we saw Reigns take a little seat back from the top spot as he worked feuds away from the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and it really did work in he's favour. He started winning over the WWE universe more and more, he started showing more and more in the ring, he's wrestling was improving and he started widening he's move set, and he's mic work started to improve a lot as well. He has had some amazing feuds and amazing matches against the likes of Bray Wyatt, Seth Rollins, Rusev and more. There is no doubt that Roman Reigns had improved massively over the past year. Yes, he still has a way to go but I don't think there is a single person that can deny just how far he has come over the past twelve months and there is no denying that Roman Reigns is without a doubt the most improved WWE Superstar of two thousand and fifteen. The next year is bound to be massive for Reigns

3) John Cena
Kick starting the top three superstars of the year is of course John Cena. Now, I honestly believe that two thousand and fifteen has been one of Cena's best performing years of he's career. Every single feud he has been in has been so entertaining, so interesting, so captivating and we have had so so many match of the year quality matches of the year. I seriously, cannot even tell you how many matches of Cena's I have said could be my match of the year and almost all of he's feuds have been ladled as one of my favourites. At the very start of the year we saw Cena chase after the WWE World Heavyweight Championship once again when he took on Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble pay per view in what was easily one of the greatest matches of the year and as one of the best triple threat matches I have ever seen. Following that he then entered a fresh feud with Rusev for the United States Championship witch eventually would become one of my personal favourite feuds of the entire year as I have already mentioned today. Cena did such a good job brining out the best in Rusev while also showcasing himself extremely well too. At Wrestlemania he was able to defeat Rusev to become the new United States Champion witch was probably the best decision the WWE made all year round. The moment they put that title on Cena was the moment that championship and the importance of it changes. Throughout the year Cena worked extremely hard making the championship mean more and that is exactly what he did. Defending the championship every single week on RAW was such a great idea as the open challenges really did become one of my highlights of RAW every week. Almost every match was of a high standard and Cena faced some of the top names in the WWE today from Dean Ambrose, to Cesaro, to even former NXT Champion, Sami Zayn. There was then of course he's huge feud with Kevin Owens witch was once again one of the strongest, best feuds/storyline's of the entire year and possibly one of my all time favourite Cena feuds. Everything about it was just amazing and the matches we got from the feud were phenomenal. Every single performance was outstanding. He also had a great feud with Seth Rollins as well witch saw even more amazing matches. This year has seen Cena compete in a handful of great storyline's and matches and because he's been away from the main event/ WWE Championship picture it's given fans less to moan about and we have been able to enjoy watching him even more. Not to mention those new moves he's added to he's set.

2) Seth Rollins
Coming in at number two this year and just missing out on the number one spot is last year's superstar of the year (on my blog), Seth Rollins. Now, I will be honest, if it wasn't for the injury and the fact that he  missed the past two months of action I most probably would of had Rollins at number one for a second year in a row. It may sound like lame excuse but I did also want to make things a little different so that's another reason why he's at number two this year. Anyway, if we go right back to the start of the year then we will see that Rollins kick started twenty fifteen with a bang. Focusing he's attentions once again on the WWE World Heavyweight Championship he went on to compete for the title in a triple threat match alongside John Cena and Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble pay per view. You guys know how much I loved this match. I made so many tweets and mentioned in so many blog post how much I enjoyed it and still to this day at the end of the year I can honestly say I think it was one of the best triple threat matches I have ever seen! You can actually see where I put this championship match in my top twenty matches of the year blog post witch will of  course be linked bellow. Rollins performance on the night was just outstanding. I couldn't stop talking about him throughout the match and after. He was in that ring with two superstars who have both been in the WWE  a lot longer than he has and he gave them both a run for their money and really changed the feel and standard of the game. He brought something different, he had the crowd going crazy, and he held he's own perfectly against two top stars in the WWE. After the Rumble Rollins slowly took he's attentions away from the World Championship picture and more so on Randy Orton. Now, Orton is yet another big big name in the company and so for Rollins to be feuding with him just after facing off with Cena and Lesnar, he must be doing something right. Their feud was well written and well timed. It had been built up for a while with Orton slowly getting more and more frustrated with Rollins and once he returned and turnt baby face the feud was on and the two did battle in a great match at Wrestlemania. Despite not coming up on top against Orton at Mania, Seth once again had an amazing performance especially considering this was he's first singles Wrestlemania match. Still on the topic of Mania. Rollins was far from done after he's bout with Orton and surprised us all during the main event when he cashed in he's Money in the bank Briefcase during the Reigns/Lesnar championship match and after an intense thew minuets Rollins found himself not only making history as the first person to cash in at Mania but he also walked out of the grandest event of the year as the new, WWE World Heavyweight Champion! This was easily one of my favourite moments of the entire year! You can check out my full reaction and what I thought of the cash in my top five shocking moments of the year, witch will be linked bellow as well. After cashing in, Rollins went on to have an amazing championship reign. Taking on the best of the best including Kane, John Cena, Brock Lesnar,Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, and even Sting! All of witch failed to take the WWE World Heavyweight Championship off of him. He also made history this year again when he became the first superstar to hold both the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and the US Championship at the same time. Every single one of he's feuds was entertaining and captivating. He was able to showcase the best of himself and he's opponent, he competed in several match of the year style matches, and showed us all why he really is the best of the best and the future of the WWE. I'm certain that things will only get better and stronger for Rollins when he returns in twenty sixteen.

1) Kevin Owens
And finally, at number one and my official WWE Superstar of the year is... Kevin Owens. With Rollins out of action with an injury for the past two months and wanting to do something different this year there really was no one better suited for the top spot than Kevin Owens. What a year he has had? Cementing himself as one of the best heels we have seen in the WWE in years and as one of the best all round performers in the WWE today, Owens really has started he's legacy in the WWE, making a huge impact in he's debut year. He started twenty fifteen off with an amazing feud with Sami Zayn. After turning heel on he's debut night attacking Zayn the feud carried on into two thousand and fifteen and it as predicted it was without a doubt one of my favourite feuds/storyline's of the entire year. So well written, so basic, but so entertaining and so captivating. It felt like I was geniuenly watching two superstars who had been great friends and one was bitter over the other's success. Throughout the feud Owens brought so much character and took the storyline to a whole new level. Making the storyline much more personal and intense, he's promos, interviews, and segments felt so real and so relevant to the storyline. I couldn't fault he's performance throughout the feud what so ever. When it came down to in ring action, the pair put on some phenomenal matches witch you may have already seen me talk about throughout my of the year season. After winning the NXT Championship in one of the most dominate matches we have ever seen in NXT, he went on to dominate the roster taking on and taking out every superstar that stood in he's way. A mini feud with Alex Riley was well written and well enjoyed on my behalf. It was nice to see a feud that was a little different to what we usually see on the main roster and in my opinion it was a great a success. This was however something we saw throughout the year with Owens. He's issues with commentators such as Rich Brennan, Alex Riley, Byron Saxon, and Michael Cole have become so entertaining to watch and a great part of he's character. I really have enjoyed the work he has done with them over the year and I'm hopeing it something he continues to do throughout next year as well. While still in NXT Owens also had great feuds against the likes of Finn Balor and Samoa Joe and competed in a handful of potential match of the year matches, including a phenomenal championship match against Balor at Beat in the East. In the Summer we saw Owens get the call the up to the main roster where he slowly became a full time member of the roster. It was a great, slow transitions from NXT to the main shows and it was done and once again written so so well. He's feud with Cena was one of the best and one of my personal favourites of the entire year and possibly one of my favourite Cena feuds of all time. Owens once again was the top stand out. He gave us some outstanding promos and segments throughout witch had me so captivated and entertained. I know I have spoken a lot this year about Owens and he's amazing mic work but I think we can all agree that he is one of the strongest speakers and characters in all of the WWE today, he's proven that time and time again throughout the past twelve months. Every single match in he's feud with Cena was of a high high quality as they gave us some of the best matches of the entire year. After he's feud with Cena Owens continued to
put on great matches and great storyline's/feuds along the way become the Intercontinental Champion. He has played the role of the perfect heel, if you read my heel of the year post than you would have seen what I had to say there and that will of course be linked bellow. Everything he did this year was magic. Honestly, I have enjoyed every single feud (apart from he's feud with Ryback), he's promos, segments and interviews have been amazing to watch and so so entertaining, and he really has put on some of the best matches of the year. He was my superstar of the month on several occasions and was one of my most talked about superstars of the year. With so much left waiting for him in the WWE, we can only predict that twenty sixteen will be outstanding for Owens as well but for now he is my two thousand and fifteen Superstar of the year.

So that is my list! Another year is done and dusted (almost)! It has been a crazy past twelve months and as this is my last post in the series and of the year I just wanted to say thank you so much to everyone that has supported me and to all the people I have met this year. Next year is look to be absolutely insane! I have so many things coming up and so much to do and even though I'm super scared and anxious I am really excited at the same time! Remember you can let me know what has been your highlight of the year and of course keeping it Wrestling related, your superstar of the year. Once again thank you, happy new year and I can't wait to see you all in my next post in twenty sixteen!
