Five Superstars the WWE Are Doing Absolotuley Nothing With

Despite an extremely stacked and diverse roster we are still seeing some amazing talent go not only underrated and underutilised but not used at all. In today’s blog post we are going to be looking at five main roster talents who despite all their popularity and potential are not currently involved in any kind of storyline and are not being booked regularly. Remember, there are many more names I could talk about in this post, but these are the names that stood out to me personally!

EC3

I have to kick start today’s blog post off with the name that has me most frustrated I even have to mention here, EC3. Despite his huge popularity and serious talent, the WWE has done absolutely nothing with EC3 since his arrival on the main roster and it most certainly has come as a surprise with many expecting a big push awaiting him when he eventually arrived on Monday night RAW. Several months into his debut and not only has EC3 not been apart of a single storyline but we are not even seeing him compete on a weekly basis. Now, I have previously written an article looking at the mistakes the WWE has already made with this former NXT star, but questions have begun to arise looking at whether if he was called up too soon if things are too late for EC3 and whether or not the WWE has already messed things up for him a second time around.

Liv Morgan

Since joining the Smackdown LIVE roster former Riott Squad member Liv Morgan hasn’t made a single appearance for the brand and the WWE are yet to have her involved in well… anything. Again, this is something that has surprised me, Liv is one of the youngest stars on the roster and her potential has been evident from day one. While I haven’t been the biggest fan of the decision to split the Riott Squad if booked correctly Liv can go on to make a big impact, but she is yet to be given the chance to do exactly that. It’s clear the WWE is focusing on certain superstars and until the likes of Bliss, Flair and Lynch begin to slowly move away from the spotlight we will get to see talent like Liv finally come into their own.

Shinsuke Nakamura

The story of Shinsuke Nakamura’s WWE career is a sad and frustrating one. Signing with the company with so much popularity and certainty that he was going to be a huge star its beyond frustrating to see where he currently sits on the roster. It’s been months since Nakamura was truly involved in anything solid and for the past couple of years now weak storyline’s and pointless alliances that have done him no good. Moving forward he is the one name on this list I honestly believe will be better off leaving the company and exploring options in other promotions. As one of the most skilled and truly talented wrestlers on the roster today its such a shame to see him currently doing nothing whatsoever and I’m unsure as to whether or not the WWE can really turn things around for him.

Rusev

Another name that frustrates me to have to include today is of course Rusev. If you know me, you know that I have been the biggest Rusev fan pretty much from day one. Over the years the former United States champion has really grown to become a favourite amongst fans winning audiences over before he’d even had his face turn. Now, what really is so amazing about Rusev is just how good he is and how much potential he possesses. We have seen him compete against some of the best of the best today including John Cena, AJ Styles, and Roman Reigns and he has always managed to deliver an excellent one on one match up. We also have to remember his character work is simply fantastic and with Lana by his side, there are so many angles the WWE could work on with Rusev however, for months now he has pretty much done nothing. He has become a forgotten name on the roster and not only is he not involved in storyline’s, but the company are even failing to have him booked regularly on shows. It’s shocking to see how much his career has turned around in recent years.

Shelton Benjamin

And once again, if you know me you know that I have always been the biggest Shelton Benjamin fan and when news broke of him making his return to the WWE a few years back I cannot tell you just how happy and excited I was! Fast-forward to the present day however and it appears as though Benjamin has disappeared off the face of the earth. While I wasn’t expecting this huge WWE Championship style push upon his return the experience and skill of Shelton should have been more than enough for the WWE to acknowledge just how big and important of a role, he could play on the roster today. From giving up and coming stars the performance they need to working the tag team division to taking part in some epic matches that show just how underutilised he has always been. It’s a real shame the WWE has done so little with Shelton It feels as though there is no turning back for him.

And those are just five of many names who literally are sitting back doing nothing at the moment and it really is so frustrating! Of course, I would love to know what you guys think so feel free to leave a comment below or tweet me over at @TezangiVictoria telling me who you would have included in this list!
