Five Youngest Stars in the WWE Today

The future of the WWE is most certainly in safe hands as both NXT and NXT UK continue to prove. The main roster also shows stars of today whom will go onto take over the future of the company to be leaders as a new era rushes in. Stars younger than ever are making their way to the WWE and while only in their first years in this industry repeatedly steal the show and make an impact. In today’s blog post we are going to be taking a look at some of the youngest stars in the WWE today and discussing what the future may just hold for them!

Rhea Ripley

If you know me you know that I am a huge Rhea Ripley fan and have been pretty much from the moment I first watched her compete in a WWE ring. Last year fans witnessed a dramatic change in Ripley going from the sweet Australian newbie in the Mae Young classic the year before the dominant, hard-faced intense competitor she stands today. At only twenty-two years old she one of the youngest stars in the WWE today but her age most certainly has not held her back! In twenty eighteen Ripley made history by becoming the first NXT UK Women’s champion defeating Toni Storm, she has competed in two Mae Young Classic tournaments worked the first NXT UK Takeover event and was booked in this year's Women’s Royal Rumble. While very new into her career Ripley continues to dominate, standout out and grow as a competitor. She has become a much larger fan favourite over the past year and with tag team work in her sights as well as a must-see rivalry involving Piper Niven the future looks extremely bright for this very young star whose career has barely even begun!

Tyler Bate

Sticking to the stars of NXT UK we next have a man who has been a massive talking point over the last three years, Tyler Bate. Also, at only twenty-two years old Bate is one of the youngest stars in the entire WWE today yet has one heck of a resume. Bate has already competed at NXT Takeover events and regularly appears for both NXT and NXT UK. He was also crowned the first ever WWE United Kingdom champion, worked a match of the year candidate contest against Pete Dunne and captured NXT tag team gold alongside Trent Seven. An extremely exciting prospect Bate is an entertaining talent with so much to bring to the table and so much to still learn. He’s a name the WWE have plenty of time to work with and as he continues to grow and develop as a character there is no denying he is a true unstoppable force in the wrestling world today.

Velveteen Dream

One of the biggest and brightest stars on the NXT roster today is, of course, the Velveteen Dream. The former Tough Enough competitor has gone from strength to strength becoming one of the most talked about, hyped and must-see superstars of the black and gold brand. Whether it be competing against of the best on the NXT roster, competing for the NXT championship, winning the North American Championship or making history, Dream has climbed the ladder and is a man the NXT Universe has completely got behind over the past two years. At twenty-three years old he is incredibly talented and by far one of the most charismatic and entertaining stars in the WWE completely and if booked and used correctly on the main roster Dream could very easily have a hugely successful and lengthy career ahead of himself.

Toni Storm

Current NXT UK Women’s Champion, Toni Storm is a true future leader. Completely winning over the WWE universe, Storm has captured hearts and entertained souls since her arrival in the WWE. Her performance in the first Mae Young Classic was a major standout and played a huge role in her journey over the next twelve months which would see her go on to win the second Mae Young Classic after a series of fantastic encounters. Storm has also made history alongside Shayna Baszler when she took on the Queen of Spades for the NXT Women’s Championship at the Royal Albert Hall became the first women to compete in this venue. Toni has gone on to become the face of the NXT UK roster as well capturing gold and going undefeated so far in twenty nineteen. Pretty crazy to believe Storm is only twenty-three years old!

Xia Brookside

While we haven’t seen all too much of Xia Brookside, she is one heck of a talent with a huge career ahead of her! Daughter of NXT trainer Robbie Brookside, Xia knows the wrestling world inside out and she already been making her own mark both inside and outside of the WWE despite only being twenty years old. Making her arrival in the WWE when she was nineteen Xia has already stepped in the ring with some amazing names and despite not having the best win/loss record its clear things are sure to turn around for at some point and the more we get to see of her the more impressed fans will become and the more aware. Xia, of course, one of the youngest if not the youngest name in the WWE (born on the same year as myself) and so the company have a great deal of time to work with Xia and develop her character and wrestling abilities. Keep an eye out for this young woman!

And those are some of the youngest stars in the WWE today! It’s clear from these five names alone that the future of the WWE is more than in safe hands but just who have you excited for the years to come in the WWE? Let me know down in the comments or tweet me over at @TezangiVictoria.
