5 Reasons Liv Morgan Should Be Paired With The Fiend Upon Return

It has been a hot minute since fans last saw former NXT star Liv Morgan in action. After departing with the Riott Squad and joining Smackdown LIVE during the previous superstar shakeup Morgan was set to embark on a new adventure but with minimal appearances and several months out of action, there is great talk regarding Liv’s return and could a huge push be on the horizon? If so, could this up and coming star have a huge new direction ahead of her and could that new direction involve one of the most talked-about stars in the wrestling world today, the Fiend Bray Wyatt? If so, just what makes this the perfect duo?

Exploring a New Side to Liv

Since arriving in the WWE Liv Morgan has shown to have clear potential. Forever growing in the ring and showing more and more of her move set she’s a young and exciting up and comer with plenty to give and throughout her years with the company so far she has shown several layers to her character. We have seen her work as both a heel and babyface and despite not being given much ring time she has shown to pull off both roles very well! Moving forward, aligning Morgan with the Fiend could allow Liv to showcase even more layers to her character. This really does give Morgan the chance to work something completely different! We have seen little glimpses of how Morgan can play around with her character and that unhinged hyperactive element of her persona would work incredibly well alongside Wyatt.

Here we could see a more intense, darker and sinister version of Liv, the real dark Morgan that has been waiting to come out. Liv promised to show the real her the last time fans saw her on WWE TV and aligning with Wyatt could see a completely new and intense version of the former NXT star… the real Liv Morgan.

Nothing Else for Her

Looking at the WWE women’s division the talent really is there and there is plenty to look forward to and potential new angles coming up. Upon returning to action there are a few options for Morgan including a big-time push chasing after the Smackdown LIVE women’s championship but when removing that option there really isn’t much left for her that will allow Liv to really make an impact and have the place on the roster she deserves! Teaming her up with Wyatt makes for something completely different and unexpected. The two appear to be strikingly different and together they could create something very special and standout. This creative decision allows Morgan the chance to make a return and instead of fading to the background stand out and play a big role on the roster. We see far too many superstars make a return and soon go back to doing nothing, especially in the women’s divisions. This opens Morgan up for a huge push, a career change around and a powerful and unique position on the roster.

The Future of the Fiend

Growing the Fiend gimmick is something I have been giving a lot of thought to. At the moment, fans are extremely high on all things Bray Wyatt and the fiend and of course it makes perfect sense but just how long will it be until we need to see something new. A twist, a few turns and something that changes things up and keeps the Fiend gimmick alive and just as exciting as it was on day one and as it is now? The idea of creating a family or following for Wyatt here has the potential to be more dark, intense and twisted than anything we have seen in the WWE in a while! Liv Morgan joining Wyatt here opens Bray up to something new working with a female superstar for the first time while also expanding the Fiend idea and exploring new and exciting booking decisions for him.  

Time for Liv to Shine

Liv Morgan has in fact been with the WWE for a few years now and while she has had her moments in the spotlight the WWE hasn’t gone full steam ahead with a big push for her and its time for exactly that. Giving Morgan the chance to align herself with the Fiend means we are sure to see more of her. It means that fans will finally have the chance to see more of Morgan’s in-ring style. The alliance promises more ring time and a major push amongst the women’s division. This creates a major spotlight on the former Riott Squad member giving her the chance she has always needed and deserved to show just how good she is in the ring. 

The Dark Twist the Women’s Division Needs

As we have already touched on, the WWE Women’s division today has so much diversity and there is plenty to look forward to and creative potential but its also clear that something is missing. Adding new characters to the mix would be highly beneficial and a darker version of Liv Morgan could very well be exactly what is missing! A dark and intense version of Morgan brings something new, different and exciting to the women’s division. A sadistic, ruthless, unhinged version of Morgan similar to what we see from Cross only darker promises very exciting new work for the women’s division and several awesome must-see matches and rivalries including a collision with Cross which down the line could be massive entertaining!

Liv Morgan is a brilliant, yet underrated superstar on the WWE roster today. Young and full of talent she plenty to show and while paring her with Wyatt may seem very random indeed it’s a unique and promising angle sure to bring something completely new to the WWE and very very exciting.
