Exciting WWE Angles Today

There really is a lot happening in the world of pro wrestling today. With promotions going head to head the standard is higher than ever but the WWE continues to look to prove they are the ones to beat and with several exciting angles they most certainly are proving a point! Now, of course, this is pro wrestling and there are things that just aren’t working out at the moment or connecting with fans but focusing on the positives just what are the best and most exciting angles in the WWE today?

Finn Balor’s Heel Turn

NXT is killing it right now! The black and gold brand is presenting fans with must-see shows on a weekly basis and there are several awesome storylines set up today, however, the return of Finn Balor has been one of the most exciting angles this year. An unexpected booking decision not many were expecting to see the former NXT Champion make a return to the brand however the timing could not have been better and the decision more fitting. In a recent episode, however, Balor changed the direction once again when he kick-started a new role as a heel in the company. Now, this may be the first time WWE fans have seen Finn in this position however, this is a man no stranger to playing the bad guy and he has become one of the most talked-about and exciting stars on the roster today thanks to this huge career turn around. The position of a heel opens Balor up to new opportunities, new storylines and a stronger more promising place within the company.

The Re-Birth of the women’s Tag Team Division

Putting the women’s tag team championships on Kairi Sane and Asuka is a booking decision that should have gone ahead a long time before now, however, the heel turn, the way these two have been booked since capturing the titles really has been brilliant and evidently has been a vital step in saving the women’s tag team division. This is how the division should have been used from the get-go. Asuka and Sane have brought so much character to the table and the heel run has been a career turn around for Asuka in particular. Seeing the pair defend the titles on NXT last week was yet again another key booking decision that shows these titles and the division is on the way up.

The Fiend is Universal Champion

While I didn’t watch Crown Jewel for obvious reasons, I was keeping track of the night’s events through twitter and with the Fiend defeating Seth Rollins to become the new Universal Champion the night was a sure success in my opinion! This is what fans have been waiting for and while it should have happened at Hell in A Cell the Fiend finally has all the bragging rights and the title to match his momentum and popularity with the fans. This is the start of something very new and exciting.

Women’s War Games

Last week's episode of NXT was a sure standout episode and a huge night for the women’s division. After months of pure chaos and intense competition amongst the women of NXT William Regal made a huge announcement declaring the first-ever women’s War Games match will be taking place. This is huge news and boy am I excited! Again, the timing is brilliant. The women are more than ready for this massive contest and with the likes of Tegan Nox, Dakota Kai, Io Shirai, Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair and Candice LeRae amongst the names involved here we can expect one epic encounter to take place and a match-up sure to change the game within the world of women’s wrestling.

RAW vs Smackdown vs NXT

With Survivor Series approaching the WWE have shaken up the landscape and increased the competition as this year will for the very first time see RAW, Smackdown live and NXT go head to head to head. In a matter of weeks history will be made when the stars of the black and gold brand set to prove they are the superior roster in the WWE and with tough competition awaiting them the stars of the future have wasted no time making and impact and sending a message. Appearing on Smackdown LIVE alongside Triple H and Shawn Michaels some of the best talent of the NXT roster made their presence felt as we prepare for what is sure to be one of the most exciting, stacked, must see and competitive Survivor Series PPV’s of all time!

There really is a lot going on in the world of pro wrestling and its true, the competition is stronger than ever. Fans are bombarded with fantastic quality content left, right and centre but while constantly receiving criticism the WWE continue to present fans with promising new angles to be excited about and as we have touched on today there are plenty of entertaining up and coming content to watch out for!
