Why The WWE Should have NXT Match at Wrestlemania

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well. We are official in Wrestlemania season, and of course that means my blog is being taken over by Wrestlemania. From now leading right up to the Wrestlemania pay per view itself I will be uploading post all dedicated to the biggest wrestling show of the year, from top tens to predictions and some added bonus'. Today is the first post in the series and it's all about why the WWE should have an NXT Match at Wrestlemania thirty one. We are going to be going into detail about what NXT have given fans over the past year, why adding a NXT match to the card would help the WWE Network, Wrestlemania and WWE as a whole and witch superstars or divas would be best to make an appearance at the grandest stage of them all. Remember all the content in this post is one hundred per cent opinionated and has not been influenced by any of my readers or followers but I would love to know what you think about this topic and what you would like to see for Wrestlemania season, so leave a comment bellow or tweet me at @TezangiVictoria letting me know. Finally, I will leave the links bellow to any recent posts so you can stay all up to date on everything.

Over the past couple of years the WWE's developmental territory, NXT has taken the world of pro wrestling by storm! With a strong roster, equal TV time, simple but effective storyline's and outstanding match quality, many have agreed that NXT is the best product the WWE have right now. Over the past year the likes of Sami Zayn, Bayley, Adrian Neville, Tyler Breeze, Charlotte, Sasha Banks and many more have climbed the ladder and become some of the company's biggest names without even making it to the main roster. The NXT live shows have seen some of the best wrestling matches the WWE has produced especially from the tag and divas divsion. It's one of the most viewed shows on the WWE network and merchandise sales have reached new heights for the NXT superstars and divas. Last summer saw three huge signings witch you are all aware of by now, now going by the names, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens and Hideo Itami and since then NXT has just gotten better and better and better. But why should the WWE have an NXT match at Wrestlemania? And what superstars or divas should be the one to make their first appearance at the biggest stage of all.

Wrestlemania. The biggest, most must see live wrestling show of the year, and in twenty fifteen the pay per view will take place on the fifteenth of March. With an insanely successful show last year, the WWE have a lot to live up to for the thirty thirst anniversary. There have been rumours after rumours after rumours of what matches would be taking place for months now from Roman Reigns VS Brock Lesnar to Sting VS Triple H to Bray Wyatt VS The Undertaker, with some now verified we know that steaks are high this year, just like always. But there is one more thing the WWE could do to make this year's Wrestlemania bigger than ever. That of course is an NXT match.

Why the WWE should showcase NXT talent at Wrestlemania
There's no better place to showcase the stars of the future than at the biggest pay per view of the year. Some may say that holding an NXT match at Wrestlemania would defeat the whole point of NXT as the idea of it is to help build up and coming stars to get to that amount of success and give them a Wrestlemania moment but even though I understand that point of view I have to say I completely disagree. Even if the WWE wanted to leave the actual main show for the main roster superstars and divas there is still an hour of the kick off show to use where they could use the time to showcase NXT talent. One divas match and one superstars match from the NXT talent would go down a treat with fans. Whether or not the WWE like it the fans love NXT and the guys and girls down there and would love to see them the developmental territory represented at Wrestlemania. I think from a business prospective the WWE would be stupid to let such an opportunity pass. Having an NXT match at Wrestlemania would really help boost Network subscriptions. The WWE recently announced they had reached one million network subscribers but with recent events causing people to cancel their network subscription the WWE need to prove it's worth keeping and worth signing up for those who are yet to purchase it. Showcasing NXT, a weekly show airing on the network, will show what the fans can expect on a weekly basis on the network. It will show the quality of wrestling the WWE are promising and that the monthly payments are worth it, and trust me as a fan of NXT I know that it's more than worth 9.99 a month. Not only would this help the network but it will also help the actual NXT stars. Showcasing them at the biggest event of the year will help them grow in popularity and allow them to see what it's like to compete at Wrestlemania in front of the biggest audience of the year. They could even have the NXT ring announcers and commentators work for the kick off show, commentating the NXT match. All round the WWE would be selling the network and the product itself. And lets face it, Wrestlemania ratings would sky rocket if the fans knew top NXT stars like Sami Zayn would be wrestling on the night.

How it would work
Now I know it's easy to say that having an NXT match is best for business and the WWE should go ahead and provide fans with it but actually going ahead with it would mean a lot of extra hard work for the men and women backstage; and lets face it, its a risk. No one wants developmental talent out shining main roster talent at the biggest pay per view of the year, but I honestly don't think the WWE would have any problems. Wrestlemania is about showcasing the best of the best, whether that be legends, veterans, divas or up and coming talent. The WWE should be reinforcing that more and more each year. NXT may not have been as big as it is now this time last year but at the moment more people are interested in NXT than they are the main roster. There are may ways the WWE could introduce an NXT match at Wrestlemania. They could have a battle Royal on the kick off show to determine the number one contender for the NXT championship or staying in the theme of battle royals the most easy path to go down is to have NXT stars compete in the two thousand and fifteen Andrea the giant battle royal. However, I think they need to go even bigger than a battle royal. I'm talking a full on, full length match up. I'm talking about an NXT championship match. At the moment we have Sami Zayn as the NXT champion and he's set to take on Kevin Owens at NXT Takeover in a none title match. Can you imagine if these two went one on one for the championship at Wrestlemania. If they had Owens defeat Zayn at takeover it would mean he has a rightful shot at the title and with Wrestlemania around the corner there would be no better place for them to go one on one once again. These two are two of the most popular superstars not only in NXT but in the whole of the WWE right now and having them represent NXT at the biggest event of the year would be a huge deal and would really boost ratings. I mean come on, seriously, who wouldn't want to see Owens VS Zayn at Wrestlemania? The heat is there, the experience is there, the excitement is there and the fans want it. Most importantly the WWE wouldn't have to worry for a single second about these two putting on a bad performance, they one hundred per cent would not regret such a major decision. Whether they showcased it on the kick off show or the actual show would not make a difference what so ever because either way after a match between these two network subscriptions would go through the roof. I also think this would be the perfect time for Zayn to drop the title. It's clear the fans want him on the main roster and he can't move up until he looses the title. Dropping it to Owens at Mania would be the best move to make for both superstars. If it was down to me I would have the match on the main show and showcase the female talent on the kick off/pre show.

The NXT divas are taking the divsion by storm right now. Every single time they step in the ring they
take control and provide fans with some of the best female wrestling matches in years.Women such as Bayley, Sasha Banks and Charlotte (all close to being called up to the main roster) have put on some truly amazing matches and the WWE really do have the chance to showcase that at Wrestlemania. It's pretty clear the WWE would not have them compete on the actual show but there's nothing stopping them from giving them a match on the kick off show. They could either have the NXT Women's championship be defended or have a match in witch the winner gets a shot on the main roster the following night on RAW. I don't know about you, but I would love to see Bayley, Charlotte and Banks compete at mania. I think it all boils down to what happens at Takeover with the championship, but the WWE have already put their faith in Sasha and Charlotte to compete on the main roster and they know level they can compete at so there's no risks giving them a mania match.

All round, I think the WWE would be stupid to let such an opportunity slide. NXT is huge right now and showcasing the talent of the future and having some of the best talent represent the product at Wrestlemania would be best for business. But what do you think?
