Dream WWE Main Roster Opponents for: Deonna Purrazzo

We are now a good few weeks into this series I have started here on my blog where I look at some dream matches for current WWE superstars or talent outside of the WWE. So far, we have looked at the likes of Adam Cole, Candice LeRae, and Johnny Gargano and today we are going to be moving our attention back to the Women’s division as we discuss one of the hottest and most promising up and coming stars in Deonna Purrazzo. Counting down five dream main roster opponents for Purrazzo this is sure to be one of my personal favorites in the series so far!

Sasha Banks

While her booking may be a touch questionable at the moment there is still no denying the fact that Sasha Banks is one of the best in-ring performers/pro wrestlers in the WWE altogether putting gender aside completely! Her track record shows Banks working some of the best matches to come from the women’s division of all time and some true general all-time greats and with Deonna Purrazzo having a very similar track record its clear that a collision between these two could make for one heck of a matchup. Out of everyone I will be talking about in this blog post today its Banks I believe could give Purrazzo her best WWE match and given that the two are provided with a great time slot this could really shake things up and a standout on any night/card. A big storyline behind it or not a match between these two could cement both women as all-time greats.

Ruby Riott

WWE fans haven’t yet seen all that much of what exactly Ruby Riott can do in the ring, however, the small doses of what we have seen have been very much impressive. Collision with several female talent including Sasha Banks have highlighted the fact that Ruby has plenty to show and a great deal of potential and looking at the women now apart of the WWE its clear to me that there is one woman who could really bring out the best in Riott, and that women is, of course, Deonna Purrazzo. The two are very similar in the ring, both massively skilled and experienced, and their in-ring styles are sure to compliment one another. This is exactly the type of opponent and opportunity Riott needs and would be an excellent way to introduce the WWE universe to Purrazzo and show the world what she is about!

Natalya

Throughout her career, Natalya has been a part of some amazing matches that have gone massively underrated. Its singles bouts against the likes of Paige, AJ Lee, and Charlotte Flair that have truly showcased just how amazingly talented the veteran is and how capable of showing and bringing out the best in her opponents she is. Purrazzo is a name I’m confident could so easily be added to that list. Deonna has stood out throughout her career for her technical ability and submission work and with Natalya’s skill and experience, there is no denying these two women could create something very special in the ring. There isn’t a need for a big dramatic storyline here but instead, the two could simply be given twenty minutes on an episode of Monday night RAW and tear the house down.

Charlotte Flair

Love her or hate her, Charlotte Flair is without a shadow of a doubt one of the best WWE superstars and in-ring performers of all time. Fight me on that. She makes for a dream opponent for several talents and Deonna Purrazzo is the latest to make that list. While the two have their In-ring differences and have had a completely different path to where they are now both those facts work to their advantage. It means there is a true and realistic story that can be told between them making for an entertaining and easily investible story/feud and it's evident the pair would work one must-see match up. A heel champion in Charlotte playing the cocky, arrogant, queen she does so well taking on the women who had to fight her way to the top, travel the world, and work ten times harder is a basic story that I know I can have interest in massively. Purrazzo is the woman capable of being an entirely different kind of opponent for Flair pushing the seven-time champ to new heights while Charlotte has every attribute to perfectly show the best of Deonna and welcome her to the main roster perfectly!

Asuka

It’s been an unexpectedly difficult ride for Asuka since joining the main roster. Losing her winning streak and generally not having the impact many believed she would Asuka now finds herself kind of lost amongst the roster. However, with that being said she remains a dream opponent for so many women within the WWE and nearly signed Deonna Purrazzo is a huge name I personally would love to see collide with Asuka. She’s the type of serious opponent the Empress of tomorrow desperately needs and it’s so clear that Purrazzo has the skill and style to possibly provide Asuka with her best WWE match since signing with the company and that includes her time in NXT. Both women have exactly what it takes to bring out the best in one another In the ring but Purrazzo can also play a huge role in bringing some life back to the career of the former NXT Champion.

Ember Moon

And to conclude today’s blog post I have a bonus name I just had to include, Ember Moon. Just like Asuka, Ember has struggled to really make an impact since joining the main roster. Throughout her career both in and out of the WWE Moon has proven to be massively diverse and talented in the ring proving a level of skill we didn’t see in the women’s division for a very very long time. One of the most athletic women to ever step foot in the company she makes for an exciting opponent for anyone, however, with the difference so striking between Moon and Purrazzo a clash between them has me super excited. Watching these two go at it for over twenty minutes would so easily make for something special and turn heads! All the WWE have to do is give these two sometime in the ring against one another and the women’s evolution is reaching new heights not to mention it would be great to see Ember apart of a big matchup where she can really stand out and show just how full her move set is!
