7 WWE Superstars Who Will Benefit the Most From WWE Draft Moves
So last night concluded the final part of this years WWE
draft and its safe to say some interesting decisions were made. While I
personally feel as though some mistakes have been made during this draft there
have been some important decisions made that will positively affect several
superstars and that is exactly what we are going to be focusing on today!
Looking at seven superstars who will benefit the most from their position on
either brand and what we can expect to see from them in the coming months, are
we about to see career-changing moments ahead for the following superstars?

Sasha Banks – To Smackdown LIVE
I’ve said from the beginning of the brand extension a couple
of years back that Sasha Banks belongs on Smackdown LIVE and I’m very excited
to see her finally drafted to the blue brand. This where the Boss should have
been from day one and I’m very excited to see what awaits her here. With Bayley
on the same roster it should be very exciting to see what goes on there between
those two in the coming months. This is a much-needed fresh start for Banks and
a new batch of opponents and angles await her as she looks to eventually become
the female face of Friday nights.
Randy Orton- To RAW
Randy Orton has been a key factor on the blue brand since
the brand extension a couple of years back and moving to RAW most certainly the
right move from him! This gives the former multi time champion to work brand
new rivalries against an array of different superstars. Orton is now a superstar
fans must consider to be a future Universal Champion and a possibly up and
coming opponent for Rollins. There are several new angles for Orton waiting for
him on RAW and with rumours suggesting he could be working as a face it gives
him the chance to work big angles with up and coming stars who need to make an
impact such as EC3 and Drew McIntyre.
Braun Strowman – to Smackdown LIVE
Again, Braun Strowman is a man I have wanted to see move to
the blue brand for a while. It’s the move in his career the monster among men
has really needed for a while now! The WWE has made several mistakes with
Strowman over the years and he has been in serious need of a fresh start. The
chance to make an impact, be booked the way he should be and finally have a
championship reign! Moving to the blue brand opens Strowman up to the chance of
becoming the top dog of a roster as well as work with new talent. With Lesnar
also on the same roster could we see the pair collide again in the future?
Regardless, this is a huge move for Strowman and arguably the best draft decision
we saw this time around.
Drew Gulak – to Smackdown LIVE
A superstar I was actually surprised to see make an appearance
on the draft this time around was Drew Gulak. The former Cruiserweight champion
is an incredible talent who has been delivering brilliant match after brilliant
match whether it be on 205LIVE or NXT and now he has his chance to follow in
the footsteps of the likes of Ali and Cedric Alexander and make an impact on
the main roster! Smackdown LIVE is an excellent spot for Gulak with talent
including the likes of Daniel Bryan and Shinsuke Nakamura awaiting him in the
ring. Gulak is a real underdog pick of the draft this year but none the less a big-time
superstar to keep an eye on!
Brock Lesnar – to Smackdown
A huge draft decision made last night was Brock Lesnar moving over to
Smackdown LIVE. Of course, after defeating Kofi Kingston to become the new WWE
Champion this was an inevitable decision but none the less a big one! His presence
on the roster gives the blue brand serious star power despite his part-time
deal with the WWE. This was a huge move that could either work massively well for
Smackdown LIVE or be its downfall. Lesnar is a big name for the brand and some
exciting fresh angles are surely awaiting the beast.
Liv Morgan – to RAW
Things never did quite work out for Liv Morgan on Smackdown
LIVE. After making what I’m sure was only one appearance it has been months
since we last saw Morgan on our screens but with her return sure to be
approaching we could be about to see a top new female talent about to step
forward in the form of Liv Morgan. A young promising superstar with so much to
give Morgan is an exciting name who could really be about to bring something
different to the women’s division. Now, I’m hoping the WWE will go all out and
give Liv a huge push upon her return including a new image as rumored since she
last appeared on WWE TV. If a big push does await her she could be about to
become Becky Lynch’s new challenger. Morgan was an interesting pick for either
brand but its RAW where we can hopefully see a new start for her and possibly a
Riott Squad reunion in the future.
The Fiend – to Smackdown LIVE
Arguably the biggest name drafted to Smackdown LIVE was the
Fiend, Bray Wyatt. One of the top draft picks his move to the blue brand is a
huge deal! There are some potentially huge angles awaiting the Fiend and with
many wanting to see Wyatt go on to dethrone Lesnar we could be about to see
career-altering months ahead for Wyatt! Creatively, there are many options
awaiting him on the blue brand but what is special here is knowing he really is
about to become the biggest talent on the roster. He is bringing something totally
different to the show and the impact he will be making and his sheer presence on
the brand gives Smackdown a huge edge and advantage.
And those are some of the names I believe will benefit the
most from the latest WWE Draft. Now, as I said, there are names I do worry
about and its clear big mistakes were made which we will touch on in future blog posts, however, for now, I would
love to know what you guys think so feel free to leave a comment below or tweet
me over at @TezangiVictoria.
