5 Main Roster Superstars Who Should Move to NXT UK
Following the recent NXT UK Takeover event in Cardiff the wrestling world is buzzing off the British talent taking over the NXT UK scene, but its clear brand is in need of some work. Still, in the early stages, we continue to see superstars grow, the roster develop and the fan base increase but there is no denying that both NXT UK and certain talent would benefit from making the move from the main roster to this ever-growing brand.

Drew McIntyre
It's extremely unfortunate to see the WWE fail Drew McIntyre
for a second time around. Following his return to the company, fans were left believing
the WWE was finally going to get things right with a talent with the potential
and credentials to be the next big thing. However, since joining the main roster
once again its become clear things haven’t gone the way many expected and it's
back to the drawing board. Now, I do believe things can so easily turn around
for McIntyre and I remain hopeful, however when we look at NXT UK and Drew McIntyre
there is a very promising relationship the WWE could take advantage of. The
Scottish star made a name for himself on the Wrestling UK scene and his huge
presence would create a huge shift in power over on NXT UK. Colliding with and
dethroning WALTER makes for a dream scenario while matchups against names
including Travis Banks, Joe Coffey and Dave Mastiff make for instant must-sees.
This may not be an ideal turn of events for McIntyre but it
most certainly is an option the WWE should considering moving for its bound to
be a move to benefit both Drew and NXT UK.
Paige
Why Paige has not been used for the NXT UK brand by now is
something I will never understand! While there is plenty for her to do upon
the main roster and has slotted into the role as a manager well it's clear there
is a great deal more waiting for her elsewhere. In her home country, Paige is
sure to add a fresh take on things over on the NXT UK roster while she cannot
compete in the ring taking on the position of manager once again or even a role
over on the announce team is something to consider moving forward. Her
popularity is sure to do plenty for the brand while her alliance with certain
talents on the roster whether it be the women’s or men’s division could create
an entertaining and interesting angle sure to rake in more viewers.
Viking Raiders
War Raider, Viking Raiders… I have no idea what we are
calling Erik and Ivar at the moment but one thing that is massively clear is
that these two superstars are going seriously underrated and underutilised.
Despite their incredible talent and popularity amongst hardcore wrestling fans, the WWE is failing to use Viking Raiders to their full potential and it's
incredibly frustrating. Here we have a team that could completely shake things
up in the tag team division but are barely being used! Now, there have been
rumours and talk of Erik and Ivar making a return to NXT and while you would
not catch me complaining at that booking decision, I would love to see the pair
head over to NXT UK. With plenty of experience working in the UK, the team are
very popular amongst the British and Irish crowds and are sure to generate a
huge reaction from the audiences overseas. While the spotlight may not be as
big it's here I believe the Viking Raiders will be most at home and receive the
best showing. This is a team the company are failing to the point where they
could lose them and turning things around is very important at this stage!
Cesaro
After his performance at the recent NXT UK Takeover event, many fans including myself are calling for Cesaro to join the NXT UK brand. It's
clear this is an incredibly fitting home for the Swiss star. Despite his huge
popularity and incredible skill he goes massively underutilised and fans are
forever frustrated at how poorly he is used. NXT UK is currently home to an
array of different talents many of which make for true dream opponents for
Cesaro including Travis Banks, Jordan Devlin, Tyler Bate, and WALTER amongst
many more! His popularity here in the UK and the type of content the NXT UK
brand creates means this is a perfect solution for Cesaro and maybe the only
ways fans will truly see the very best of a man who should have been WWE/
Universal champion a very long time ago!
Sarah Logan
The NXT UK women’s division evidently needs some work. The
division is clearly growing but there is a lot more focus and attention that
needs to be put into the women’s division over on NXT UK and adding former
Riott Squad member Sarah Logan into the mix could really shake things up. Now,
I’ve said it before and I will say it again, Sarah Logan is one of the most
underrated and underutilised women in the company today. Prior to signing with
the WWE Logan worked around the world competing in several countries including
the UK meaning she has a fanbase overseas and names she most certainly is
familiar with. It appears as though it may be quite some time before we see the
WWE truly use Logan to her best abilities and moving her to NXT UK may just be
there very best and most promising option.
As we mentioned earlier, NXT UK has so many incredible names
on its roster and things are very exciting there at the moment! Moving forward, however, it's clear that the names above would massively benefit from making the
move from main roster to NXT UK but what do you think? Let me know by leaving a
