NXT Must Opponents For Karrion Kross
This week fan favourites Killer Kross (now known as Karrion Kross)
and Scarlett Bordeaux will make their much-anticipated NXT debut! There is
great speculation as to what awaits the pair in the WWE and with so many
creative options, their strong following and the character work they bring to
the table there is sure to be some very exciting angles coming from both
Scarlett and Kross! With the NXT roster incredibly strong and diverse there are
many dream scenarios and matchups fans want to see Kross involved in and today
we are going to be taking a look at some of the biggest must opponents for the newest
member of the black and gold brand.
Tommaso Ciampa
Kross has already set his sights on former NXT champion
Tommaso Ciampa and for me and so many other fans this is a dream matchup! The
two men share their similarities both in character work and their in-ring styles
and their collision is sure to be something very special and an excellent way
to introduce Kross to the NXT Universe. Both superstars have a special
intensity when they perform again both in the ring and as characters, working
together is sure to provide fans with a fantastic angle that keeps us all very
entertained. Ciampa has all the experience and diverse move set to showcase
their best of Kross’ in-ring skills and we are likely to get one of the best
matches out of Karrion in a bout against Ciampa.
Cameron Grimes
One of the most underrated stars in the WWE today in my
opinion has got to be Cameron. We have already seen the former IMPACT
wrestling star compete in a number of fantastic bouts including a one on one
against current North American Champion, Keith lee. Moving forward, I would
love to see Grimes involved in bigger angles and see more of his character
come to life. Stepping in the ring with Kross may not see Cameron come up on
top but it will further allow him to showcase just how strong he is as a competitor
and bring out more of his character. The two are intense performers with so
much skill and talent, give them time and we have a match that is sure to be a
standout and work in the favour of both men in the long run.
Dexter Lumis
One of my personal favourite NXT stars today is another
former IMPACT Wrestling star in Dexter Lumis. In recent weeks fans have begun
to see more of Lumis with the WWE booking him better and more consistently.
There is some serious potential for Lumis to play the role of a dark horse on
the black and gold brand and climb to the top. On his way there a collision
with Karrion Kross is a must! Both men are incredibly intense characters with a
uniquely dark edge different to what we are used to seeing. With Scarlett in
the mix, it will also be interesting to see the role she would play in an angle
involving the pair and what we could get as a result is not only a brilliant in-ring match up but one of the best storylines of all the bouts we will be
discussing today. The rivalry is sure to bring out even more layers of Lumis’
character while also showing the NXT universe we are seeing a shift in the dynamics
and new stars rise to the surface.
Finn Balor
While Finn Balor’s mystery attacker is likely to be revealed
as Imperium, I have to admit that Karrion Kross being the man behind the attack
is something I would love to see! Now, it may be a while before we do in fact
see these two men collide, it is a definite must! Balor has the experience on
his side that is sure to push Kross to his limits and bring out the best of his
skillset. Getting a win over a former NXT and Universal Champion in Balor would
be huge for Kross in gaining momentum and showcasing his dominance and the role
he is to have in NXT and the WWE. The collision of the two characters is sure
to keep fans entertained and is bound to bring serious draw and attention to
rising star, Karrion Kross.
Keith Lee
Keith Lee is making for one pretty awesome and dominant
North American champion but his reign will come to an end soon enough and with
a strong roster and list of potential opponents, there is no rest for our
current titleholder. The arrival of Karrion Kross is sure to shake things up and
adds a big new addition to Keith Lee’s potential opponent list. There are of
course many names who could go on to dethrone Lee but in my opinion, the best
bet has got to be Kross. Matching in dominance and power he makes for a legitimate
threat to Keith Lee and his championship. Putting a title on Karrion is pretty important
and the North American championship is perfect for the new arrival. It’s a clear
and simple way for him to showcase his power and strength and work a strong
role. He makes for the perfect heel to dethrone Lee and create a simple transition
and make a shift in power. Kross is sure to shine as a great heel and a
brilliant North American Champion.
