WWE RAW Predictions

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World I hope you are all well and good! We are only a couple of weeks away from the two thousand and sixteen Extreme Rules pay per view and with another stacked card building up there appears to be every reasons to not only be excited for the show but to tune into every Monday night RAW along the way. Last week saw the start of a new era in the WWE with both Shane and Stephanie McMahon sharing control of RAW and to be fair it was a decent show. We had a strong main event (witch I will be going into more detail about later on in the post today) that I'm glad I tuned into and a handful of  matches were made official for the Extreme Rules twenty sixteen card. On tonight's show we can expect another packed three hours of action as this new era continues on. We are sure to get a response from AJ Styles following that brutal attack delivered by Reigns closing last weeks show. The new number one contender for Untied States Championship Rusev will begin to gain even more momentum as the WWE look to create a story between him and current champion Kalisto. And of course what we see next between Natalya and Charlotte will sure be one to check out! In today's blog post I'm going to be recapping last weeks action quickly but of course focusing on making my predictions for this weeks Monday night RAW. As always you can join and have your say letting me know what your predictions are for tonight's show by leaving a comment bellow or by tweeting me at @TezangiVictoria. Finally, as usual any recent blog post including last weeks RAW Review and reactions will be linked bellow.

Who faces the Miz at Extreme Rules?

Throughout the past month the Miz has been looking rather strong. With fantastic in ring promos and segments including very entertaining and consistent episodes of Miz TV along with fitting in strong matches he has began to create a really good championship reign. Having his wife Maryse by his side has added even more attention to the A-Lister and of course their chemistry has is insane making everything they do so entertaining! Now, last weekend he did have a very good title defence against Cesaro at Extreme Rules and while the champ believes there is not a single superstar worthy of touching his championship there are many beginning to step up to the plate and challenge the IC Champ.

Cesaro, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn have all set their eyes on the prize. For weeks we have seen Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn battle against each other beating one another black and blue but now both have focused their attentions on capturing one of the most respected championships in the WWE. Adding a championship to their sights has on  made their rivalry even hotter and intense but there is also a certain Swiss superman who happens to be chasing after the exact same thing. Cesaro has made it perfectly clear that he is not done with the Miz and he still wants to walk away with the Intercontinental Championship. So with three top superstars all chasing after the same thing who walks away number one contender?  Last week a one on one match between  Kevin Owens and Cesaro was booked to create a number one contender but after the Miz interrupted causing a DQ and then Sami Zayn coming down to the ring the night ended with still no opponent for the Miz named. On the show this week we can expect to see the WWE book a triple threat between Owens, Zayn, and Cesaro to once again look to determine a number one contender. Of course a triple threat between these two is a guaranteed must see. These are three of the best of the best anyone willing to miss out on a match up against them is plain stupid. If this match is booked for the show tonight than we can sure be in for a treat and fantastic bout however a clean ending is one we can not expect to see. The Miz is bound to make an interruption. He is not going to want to face any of these superstars and if the match ends in DQ yet again than we have no number one contender right? Well Shane McMahon playing corporate favourite fits into this perfect and I think we all have a little feeling that he will not be letting Miz get away with it that easy. Fatal four way anyone?

The Power Struggle Continues

So far so good in the era that sees both Stephanie and Shane McMahon in control. To be fair RAW last week could have been a lot lot better and things could have been done differently to create a better stronger show. How the WWE book the continuing story between these siblings. Stephanie continues to play the bad guy of the two but she has also made some very good decisions on TV as well. It's going to be interesting seeing if the WWE push anything more between the two. I would like to see more of a story develop so that includes seeing more one upping and competition between the two and both brining something different to the show.

Is time running out for Charlotte?

There is no hiding the fact that throughout Charlotte's championship reign her father Ric Flair has played a huge role in keeping that championship around her waist. His antics have allowed Charlotte to have a length reign after preventing the likes of Natalya, Becky Lynch, and Sasha Banks from taking the championship from his daughter and becoming the champ. However, in two weeks time at Extreme Rules Charlotte has no choice but to face her long time rival Natalya all on her own.

In a backstage segment last week on RAW Stephanie McMahon announced that at the Extreme Rules pay per view Charlotte will defend her Women's Championship in a submission match and this time her father, Ric Flair, will be banned from ringside. A great stipulation that of course makes plenty of sense and Flair banned from ringside I know for sure I will be tuning in to this one in a thew weeks time. However, for now it's all about momentum. On Smackdown last Thursday we saw a tag team match up between Emma and Charlotte and Natalya and Becky Lynch. I actually missed Smackdown last week so I don't know how this match went, I will try and give it a watch tonight before RAW. I am half expecting to see this match again on RAW tonight. All four of these women are the centre of attention at the moment in the division and both are actually very good and interesting feuds. I've mentioned plenty times already that I feel as thought the story telling between Natalya and Charlotte has been very very good throughout. On Smackdown last week Nattie did send a message to the champ when she made Emma tap out. Will we see a one on one match up between Emma and Natalya tonight? If so it would be much better to see Natalya attacked by Charlotte at some point during the match and with Becky Lynch coming for the save, Shane or Stephanie announce a tag team match. It would be nice to see something a little different and it would help push both feuds a little.

Will Rusev end the championship reign of Kalisto?

Last week the WWE booked a number one contenders Battle Royal for the United States Championship while my favourite for the win (Baron Corbin) didn't walk out as the number one contender (thanks to an annoying Dolph Ziggler) Rusev did and as a result he will soon face Kalisto for the United States Championship. You guys know that I am a massive fan of both of these superstars. With the League Of Nations finally over and done with I'm very happy to see Rusev as the on getting the push. As the youngest of the three and the most left to show it was refreshing to seem him back in the spotlight and given an opportunity.  I have said it a millions times before but I believe that Rusev is seriously underrated and underutilised. We know he can deliver brilliant matches, it's all about giving him the opportunity and the time and that is exactly what he has been given.

I am very very confident that Rusev and Kalisto will deliver a fantastic match when they battle for the US Championship. They are both extremely extremely talented in the ring and capable of a lot. If you give these two plenty of time than they could very easily out on a match worthy of going in the list of potential match of the year candidates. Now, if you haven't seen the interview WWE conducted and uploaded to their YouTube channel last week with Rusev and Lana than I seriously advise you go and check it out! We really did get to see a new side to Rusev and he came across very charismatic. It actually made me far more interested in the growing feud between him and Kalisto and of course their championship match. On the Show tonight we can expect to see a story begin to build between these superstars and both will want to start building up some momentum. Kalisto is in need of a strong match aired on Monday night RAW. We know what Kalisto is capable of in the ring and I have said it before that he deserves and needs to be booked much much more on WWE TV and if they do that than we will be able to see more of what he can do and his title reign will come across much much more impressive.

Will AJ Styles get Extreme?

Last weeks main event saw AJ Style steam up with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson to take on the
team of the Usos and the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roma Reigns. The match was actually pretty strong and I got into the action much much more than I ever could have expected. Now, while the match was a good one it was what happened after that got everyone talking. After  Styles and his buddies were able to work very well together to pick up an impressive and dominate win Styles still played the nice guy refusing to attack Reigns with a steel chair. Another brawl broke out and it was a brutal attack from Reigns that closed the show as the champ send a huge message to Gallows and Anderson, Styles, and the WWE Universe. He is not playing games any more and he is ready to get Extreme.

This week on RAW we need to see AJ Styles up his Extreme game and get a little even. There is not a chance in hell Gallows and Anderson and of course Styles are going to let Reigns walk around getting away with his action and a punishment could be on the cards for the champ this week on RAW. I am actually really excited for this championship match at Extreme Rules, I have already written my prediction post and I cannot wait for you guys to check it out! It's going to be interesting seeing where and how the story develops this week on the show and how much the build up intensify's.
