A new Season of RAW
Throughout last weeks WWE shows they sure made sure to remind
fans that this week will mark the season premiere of Monday Night RAW with the
company promising to make this a show to remember. Also, the go-home show for
Hell in a Cell there is plenty to look forward to this week on RAW and for the
first time in a while I’m genuinely very excited for the three-hour show. From
a Universal Championship match between Seth Rollins and challenger Rey Mysterio
to AJ Styles defending his United States title against Cedric Alexander fans
also have appearances from the likes of Brock Lesnar, Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan
to look forward to. The season premiere of RAW promises to provide a few
surprises, Hell in a Cell twist and turns a women’s division standout between
Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss and the RAW tag team titles will be on the line!
NXT Title Matches
Over on this week’s episode of NXT fans can also look forward
to seeing two big title matches. First up, the Undisputed Era’s Bobby Fish and
Kyle O’Riley will defend their NXT Tag team titles against the Street Profits
in what is sure to be an exciting title bout that while won’t showcase a change
in champions will make for a great contest sure to provide excellent tag-team
wrestling content and a brilliant showing from both teams. We then have Shayna
Baszler vs Candice LeRae in a match I’m personally very excited for! Candice
has been building momentum for weeks and playing the true underdog there’s an excellent story to this bout and with NXT looking to make a huge impact
this night whilst going up against AEW we can possibly expect to see the NXT
Women’s championship change hands in what could be one of the biggest
highlights of the night and week.
We will then witness Adam Cole defending the NXT
Championship against Matt Riddle in what is sure to be an instant classic and epic
match I don’t doubt will not only go down as a match of the night or week but a
potential match of the year candidate.
Total Divas Returns
So, this one may not be for everyone, but I really am a
sucker for some reality TV and so the return of Total Divas this Tuesday most certainly
has me pretty excited! This series will see Sonya Deville, Carmella and Ronda
Rousey joins the cast in what is likely to be a controversial and entertaining
season on the E! Network.
AEW Dynamite
Okay, so there really is no denying that AEW’s weekly show
debut is what I’m most excited about this week. All eyes are on the company
this week as they look to truly prove a point and kick start a new era in the
world of pro wrestling. AEW Dynamite will debut this Wednesday in what is sure
to be an interesting and exciting show. The night promises to present must-see
matches, surprises and the start of something new! I will be reviewing the show
the following day here on my blog and I will be live-tweeting too! Wednesday will
see a clash of promotions and it will be interesting to see who wins the war
this week int terms of NXT vs AEW.
Brock Lesnar vs Kofi Kingston
On the debut of Smackdown LIVE on FOX and a huge anniversary
for the blue brand fans will see Kofi Kingston defend his WWE Championship
against the beast Brock Lesnar in a match that has divided fans massively. I honestly
don’t know what to expect here and while it seems as though Lesnar will in
fact walk away with the win and it’s the end result I’m expecting I honestly
would love to see a huge surprise ending with Kingston retaining. Regardless of
who is to walk out the victor this match will set the tone for the future of
Smackdown LIVE on FOX and the new era the blue brand looks to make making this
one of the most important and exciting matches of the week!
Smackdown on FOX
This Friday Smackdown LIVE will debut for FOX and the WWE
will also be celebrating twenty years of Smackdown. The special and important the night will see Hall of Famers including Trish Stratus, Goldberg, Mick Foley,
Booker T and more make an appearance as well as a must-see ladder match between
Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon and an interesting one on one collision between Erick
Rowan and Roman Reigns. The women’s division will also be on display in a tag
team match up you don’t want to miss out on with Bayley and Banks taking on Becky
Lynch and Charlotte Flair in a match where all four women will look to gain some
last-ditch momentum before Hell in a Cell this weekend. The last time these
women took part in a tag team match we saw some excellent work and so we can
expect another standout contest this coming Friday.
Smackdown this week most certainly is one not to miss out on!
The card for the night is stacked and this is an important evening for the WWE
marking a new era in the company and for the blue brand.
Hell in a Cell
And finally, this Sunday the WWE will present the two thousand
and nineteen Hell in a Cell PPV and what a card we have! The night is full of
personal collisions, must-see title bouts and anticipated matchups. Can the
Fiend dethrone Seth Rollins? Will the Boss walk out of hell in a cell the new
RAW Women’s champion? And what surprises will we see throughout the night? This
is one of my personal favourite PPV events of the year and with a huge week in wrestling
taking place I cannot wait to see how the WWE will top things off and conclude
the week with one huge PPV event!
This really is a must-see and promising week in the world of
pro wrestling. It marks change, a new era and fans around the world are buzzing!
The wrestling community have been left with plenty to talk about already and
with rumours surfacing every single day, it's safe to say that we can expect the
unexpected and I cannot wait to see what changes and dramatic events will be
taking place in the coming days.
