AEW's Most Talked About Stars So Far

Just like the rest of the wrestling community I have been obsessed with all things AEW. While the popularity and conversation increases, we begin to see more criticism come from fans however, there is still so much to come from this hot new promotion and so far things have started very strong! The roster is stacked full of diverse amazing talents with some standing out and making an impact in All Elite Wrestling more than others.  

Jon Moxley

The biggest surprise fans have seen so far when it comes to AEW is the debut of Jon Moxley. During the first-ever AEW PPV, Double or Nothing, the former WWE Champion shocked fans when he attacked Kenny Omega and sent one heck of a message to the wrestling community. His arrival cemented him as one of the biggest stars on the roster and highlighted a true new era in the industry. Since that night, Moxley has been a major talking point for AEW. Destined for championship gold down the line he is already inserting himself in big-time matches including an up and coming must see against Omega. Moxley has also taken part in an epic hardcore style collision against Joey Janela and the endless dream matches make Moxley one of the most talked-about and hyped stars on the roster right now. 

Cody Rhodes

Arguably the face of AEW, Cody Rhodes has been one of the most talked-about men in the wrestling world for a while now. Leading a new era in the wrestling industry, Rhodes has sent shock waves through the community and has highlighted himself as one of the most passionate men on the scene and a true all-round talent. His singles bout against brother Dustin Rhodes at the Double or Nothing PPV went down as one of the best matches of the year so far for many and has stood out for its heart, sense of reality and passion it exuded. Since then Rhodes has continued to take part in epic encounters including a tag team match that saw him side with Dustin to take on the Young Bucks and a brilliant bout against the young up and comer in the form of Darby Allin. Rhodes has been making a major impact by not only sending a clear message and creating controversy in the proves of leading a new era but by taking part in some of the best matches he has genuinely ever been apart of, putting new talent over and creating an interesting rivalry with Shawn Spears.

Hangman Adam Paige

With a one on one matchup in the horizon for Hangman Paige against Chris Jericho, he has the chance at making history and becoming champion in AEW in a months’ time. Earning this opportunity at the Double or Nothing PPV by winning a Battle Royal, the Hangman has been full of momentum ever since. With not a single dull performance behind him, Paige has taken part in genuinely awesome matches that have highlighted not only how good he is but the simple fact that he most certainly is championship material. Taking part in the biggest match of the up an coming AEW PPV, all eyes on this big-time star as he looks to become the biggest and most important name on the roster. 

Shawn Spears

Despite never truly being appreciated and used properly in the WWE, the veteran that is, Shawn Spears has had a strong start over in AEW. From a memorable showing in that Battle Royal at Double or Nothing to targeting Cody Rhodes, Spears is fastly becoming one of the most talked-about and interesting names on the roster.  With the company acknowledging his seventeen-year history in the business, spears is coming across a dangerous and skilled talent with a grudge and a point to prove and as a result there is a genuine interest in what the future holds for him. Now, the chair shot to the head most certainly did divide fan opinion and go down as another controversial moment for the company, however, Spears is already making a far greater impact than he ever made on the main roster of the WWE. This type of booking and recognition is brilliant to see for Shawn and he is one of the stars I genuinely cannot wait to see evolve over in AEW. 

Darby Allin

And finally, we have the man that I personally have been loving recently, Darby Allin. The twenty-two-year-old is one of the youngest stars on the AEW roster but boy has been making an impact! His first match for the promotion came in a singles bout against Cody Rhodes which has gone down as not only a personal favourite match of the year but a strong AEW highlight match so far! Walking out of encounter a major star, fans are buzzing over this young up and coming talent with a clear bright bright future ahead of him. His dark and twisted character opens him to so many awesome storylines and his fearlessness and athletic skill means he is sure to be apart of many epic matches too! Darby Allin is a man I am personally loving at the moment and I cannot wait to see more from him!

While it's still very very early days for AEW it's clear that there are several stars making an impact already and today I have only touched on five!
