Potential 2019 Breakout WWE Superstars part 1

Throughout the last few weeks I have touched on many things regarding the next twelve months in the world of pro wrestling looking at potential future champions and things that must happen within the coming the year and in today’s blog post we are going to be continuing that mini-series by diving into some of the possible breakout stars of this year. Paying attention to talents both on the main roster and NXT shows we have a list of five superstars to discuss so let’s jump right into things.

Dakota Kai

Dakota Kai is a woman who truly did grab my attention in twenty eighteen. From her intense work with Shayna Baszler earlier in the year to her contributions to the NXT UK division Kai has been apart of an array of standout matches including competition against current NXT Women’s Champion Baszler. Throughout these performances, Dakota has proven to be a strong superstar to keep a close eye on her. Exciting to watch in the ring, she moves around with speed and agility that impresses many easily showing similarities to former Universal Champion Finn Balor and the likability facto Bayley showed during her early days in NXT. This year fans can expect Kai to truly step into the spotlight in terms of more involvement in stronger storyline’s and longer matches sure to prove she is an important figure in the division and one of the best and most exciting pro wrestlers in developmental today.

Lars Sullivan

Its most certainly safe to assume that twenty eighteen was, in fact, the breakout year for Lars Sullivan but in my opinion, I believe it was, in fact, the warm-up year. The last twelve months saw Sullivan take part in memorable bouts against likes of Aleister Black, Killian Dane, and more proving himself to be an interesting and exciting talent to keep your eyes on in the coming years and with his arrival on the main roster taking place the year ahead looks to be even stronger for this former NXT rookie. Showing exactly what the black and yellow brand is about he is a true WWE bread talent and with more exposer coming his way, greater opportunities, and strong suggestion the company are high on him there is no reason to believe he will not be established as the next big thing in the WWE and a top talent to watch this year.

Sonya Deville

When looking at the future of women’s wrestling it's important to focus on former Tough Enough competitor Sonya Deville. During the final months of twenty eighteen Deville was highlighted by fans worldwide to be one of the most promising stars on the Smackdown LIVE roster today in terms of future growth expectations and being apart of the division for years to come. Still fresh into her WWE career fans still have plenty more to see of Deville however, throughout the past twelve months Sonya has stood out on several different occasions. From her performance inside the first ever women’s Elimination chamber to what we saw from her in several battle royals during the course of the last year, Deville has impressed the WWE universe massively and with more opportunities coming her way I believe Deville could be apart of historic moments this year and matches that show her to be one of the biggest breakout stars of two thousand and nineteen. Whether its bouts against the likes of Asuka or Becky Lynch, a feud against Mandy Rose, more first evers, or a run as one of half of the women’s tag team champions, Deville is a woman to watch.

Zack Gibson

Moving our attention to the NXT UK division we next must look at Zack Gibson. Arriving on WWE territory only last year, Gibson has many excited for his charismatic nature and gifted in-ring ability has made him someone to truly keep your eyes on.  With memorable bouts against the likes of Pete Dunne, a tournament victory, and promos impossible to forget already behind him Gibson is one of the WWE most exciting prospects today and in twenty nineteen I’m expecting more special in-ring performances from Liverpool’s number one showing everyone he is now the worlds number one. A favourite for the next United Kingdom champion and with so much more to see from him two thousand and nineteen has all the potential in the world to be a strong one for this up and coming talent.

Ember Moon

In terms of who the last superstar I talk about should be, I really did debate with myself for there were so many options, however, in the end, I just had to go with Ember Moon. While Moon has already shown what she is capable of and been apart of phenomenal matches during her time in NXT I strongly believe two thousand and nineteen will be the year Ember breaks out on the main roster. During the closing months of last year fans expressed great interest in Moon and while the WWE didn’t give her the main roster push many expected in two thousand and eighteen this may be the year we see things turn around. She is dubbed as a favourite to win the women’s Royal Rumble and with an array of dream matches behind her many want to see more from Moon this year and there is no reason for it not to happen now! The time is more than right.

There are so many other names I wanted to discuss including Ruby Riott, Chad Gable, and Lacey Evans to name just a few so if you would like to see a part two let me know down in the comments!
