Ten WWE Superstars Who Must Become Champion In 2019 (Part 1)

The new year has arrived, twenty nineteen has greeted us and a fresh start has begun! Throughout the next twelve months, I will be bringing you brand new content all focused around the world of pro wrestling and honestly, I could not be more excited! We kick start things off today with a look at the WWE superstars both on NXT and the main roster who I believe must win gold in two thousand and nineteen! This is a post I have wanted to write up for a while now and so I cannot wait to get started! Don’t forget to leave your opinions below!

The Riott Squad

As I am writing this, we still have no word on the WWE introducing tag team titles for the women’s division but it’s something we most certainly expect to see very soon in the next step in the women’s Evolution. With that being said its time to look at the superstars who would greatly benefit from becoming champions and right near the top of that list is the Riott Squad. Twenty nineteen will mark two years since the debut of Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, and Sarah Logan and the trio are looking stronger and more united than ever gaining momentum and receiving more airtime but there is still plenty more to see from all three superstars. This year I desperately want to see these women step into the spotlight even more and if tag team titles are to be introduced then it’s about time the Riott Squad truly get the chance to showcase their skill and dominance taking gold at some point this year. It must also be noted that Ruby Riott is a woman who should most certainly find herself in the women’s championship picture this year.

Elias

A man I truly have enjoyed watching over the past couple of years is former NXT star, Elias. From entertaining promos to solid matches that highlight him as a strong in-ring performer Elias has become one of the more popular stars of Monday night RAW having fans loud and engaged whenever he makes an appearance. Yet to get his hands on a title, however, twenty nineteen must see Elias finally capture gold. He’s a rare type of talent who can take a loss and not truly be affected by it, however, with so much popularity, the likeability factor, and in-ring skill Elias should most certainly be taken to the next level this year setting sights on a mid-card title at least!

Ember Moon

Keeping on the theme of popularity, Ember Moon currently sits as a major fan favourite over on Monday nights. Her performance at the Evolution PPV put a huge spotlight on the former NXT Women’s champion but also showed the WWE that she is a superstar their fanbase is massively high on. In recent months we have begun to see more of Moon and it looks as though a push may be coming up for her at some point in the next year! With the women’s division forever growing there is no denying Moon can climb to the top and standout and over the next twelve months its vital the WWE act on her momentum, give her the time she deserves in the ring to show what she can do and most importantly put a deserving title around her waist.

Sanity

Moving over to Smackdown LIVE now and we focus on a team I am totally obsessed with, SanItY. I’ve mentioned before here on my blog just how much I love these guys and their arrival on the blue brand had me super excited, however, things haven’t really gone all too well. Now, in their defence, Sanity hasn’t been apart of the roster for all too long and their time simply just hasn’t come yet however, twenty nineteen must be the year we see Eric Young, Alexander Wolf, Killian Dane (and Nikki Cross hopefully) step and dominate the Smackdown LIVE tag team division and the roster as a whole making the impact they made down in NXT.

Drew McIntyre

My early prediction for twenty nineteen’s standout star is most certainly Drew McIntyre. Since his return to the main roster, McIntyre has been very smartly booked by the WWE and it’s clear a big push at the top is coming! The company have been building the former NXT champion up for months and It’s inevitable a run as champion is coming and on today’s list its Drew who I most certainly want to see as champion more than anyone. Sporting exactly what a champion in the WWE should look like today he’s a perfect candidate in terms of future champions and I’m very much excited to see what the new year holds for this Scottish Star.

And that is part one complete! Next week I will be bringing you another five new names added to the list so make sure to keep an eye out for that! For now, let me know who you want to see as champion this year by leaving a comment below or by tweeting me over at @TezangiVictoria
