5 Most Important Defiant Wrestling Stars

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well and good and are having an awesome start to the new month! As I mentioned at the end of last year I really want to start writing even more content on promotions outside the WWE really paying attention to the British Scene. It's an area I want to discuss more simply because I myself am a big big British Wrestling fan. As a fellow Britt, it's interesting seeing the difference and what British promotions bring to the table and with so much now put in front of us there is plenty to talk about! In today's blog post we are going to be moving our attention to Defiant wrestling, previously known as WCPW. Since it's launch the promotion has been providing wrestling fans with entertaining, gripping storyline's, a strong roster and several fantastic matches and I myself have spent plenty of time writing about the company in a number of different blog posts, some of which will be linked bellow; today we are going to be listing five of the most important Defiant Wrestling stars. These are the names that are key figures and names the company really does need and benefit from having. As always, I would love to know what you guys think and who you would have had on this list so feel free to leave a comment bellow or tweet me over @TezangiVictoria telling me! Finally, any recent blog posts will be linked bellow at the very end!

Primate

Anyone that knows me knows that I am a big hardcore wrestling fan! From ECW back in the day to CZW now, it's an area of pro wrestling I really enjoy for the sheer barbaric nature and entertainment factor. Over in Defiant wrestling, this style is something that is focused on greatly with the hardcore division forever growing and proving to be damn strong! The leading face in that division is of course Primate. Now, I one hundred and ten percent believe Jimmy Havoc deserves the same kind of attention and I've mentioned him as one of my favourite hardcore wrestlers of today but I just have to mention Primate. A defiant Wrestling/WCPW original he has been bringing the life of Hardcore wrestling to the promotion and as the theme of today is, he has been a key figure in the company. A unique and entertaining character Primate genuinely has you believing his from another planet or has a screw loose! His music hits and Primate is bang on character and completely captivating. Forever taking things to the next level the hardcore champion isn't afraid to jump off anything, use everything sight against his opponent and put his body on the line to prove he is the best at what he does. The first WCPW Hardcore champion and the first man in the promotion to hold two titles at the same time, Primate is a very important name in Defiant wrestling and boy is he worth watching!

Martin Kirby

One of the most over stars on the Defiant Wrestling card is without a shadow of a doubt, Martin Kirby. This is a man that struggled to win fans over in anyway on the first night to becoming the fans favourite. Everyone is humming along to his entrance theme, chanting his name throughout matches and backing him as a talent and a story one hundred and ten percent. A hooking character Kirby also delivers in the ring. He's been apart of some fantastic matches against top stars to walk through the promotion including El Ligero, Joe Hendry, and Will Ospreay to name just a few. He may not be the most conventional pro wrestler in the world but he is the people's champ and without him, Defiant Wrestling just wouldn't feel right. He's forever receiving a strong reaction from fans and despite the promotion's growth he continues to be the name fans want on their screen and in attendance.

Kay Lee Rae

The Defiant Wrestling women's division has a long long way to go. Matches are still short and rather weak and the division is still growing in numbers. Since the launch of the promotion, there has been a lack of attention on the women's division with many shows not even featuring a women's match but I'm hoping that does change this year especially now we have so many new faces joining! One of the key figures in the division however has of course been Kay Lee Rae. When I think of British Wrestling and the women's division here she is the name I think of first. A leading face in both women's and British Wrestling Kay Lee Rae is yet another fan favourite. It doesn't matter if she works as a heel or a face wherever she goes she entertains and people love to watch her. From her striking unique look to her phenomenal in-ring talent, the women's division in Defiant wrestling needs Kay Lee Rae. Even without being champion she owns the division. She allows it to feel as though there is star quality there and ensures strong matches in the division are happening.

Joe Hendry

Boy is Joe Hendry one annoying bastard and that is exactly what makes him so brilliant. I don't think anyone works their character as well and as convincingly as Joe Hendry. Forever getting under the skin of the fans he does make a good babyface but nothing compares to his heel work and top of that he is one heck of an in-ring performer. He too has competed against some of the biggest and best names to walk through the doors of Defiant wrestling from Will Ospreat, Marty Scrull and Drew Galloway to the likes of Kurt freaking Angle! And in every single one of those matches, he has delivered to a very high standard. He and the prestige are a key figure for Defiant wrestling. The promotion has done factions well from the get go and this is another prime example, however, without Hendry there's nothing. Even without his fellow Prestige members by his side Hendry is killing it! He doesn't need anyone to stand alongside him and the scariest part is we haven't even seen the very best of him and just how far his character can go!

Marty Scrull

And finally, we have Marty Scrull. What Marty brings to the table is sheer star quality. One of the biggest and most well-known names on the roster Marty has everyone up on their feet the moment his music hits. As I've mentioned in previous blog posts he possesses one of the best and strongest characters in pro wrestling today and his charisma and character work shines through whenever the camera is on him, however, when you put him in the ring he only goes to show yet again why he is considered to be one of the best of the best. Travelling around the world and wrestling the best there is to offer in the industry Marty is forever improving, forever upping his game and as a Bullet Club representative he is simply nailing it and bringing something no one else is to the promotion! He too has competed in a number of phenomenal matches and bouts against names including Austin Aries, Will Osprey and Joe Hendry have highlighted him as one of the best on the roster.

And there we have it! That is my list! There were so many other names I wanted to include in this post but I promise I have plenty of content coming up where I will get to talk about those other names!  As always, I would love to know what you guys think and who you would have had on this list so feel free to leave a comment bellow or tweet me over @TezangiVictoria telling me!
