Top Five WWE Power Couples
Rusev and Lana
We kick start today's Valentine's special with Rusev and Lana. So I really wanted to try and add both all-time greats and recent to this post and honestly, the first two names that popped up in my head was, of course, Rusev and Lana. While the pair don't spend a great deal of time working together for WWE TV anymore when they did the two were unbeatable. From the moment they both arrived in NXT their chemistry was clear as day! The romantic connection wasn't something the WWE initially focused on as Lana took on the role as manager and what a brilliant job she did. A certain degree of control over Rusev it was she who decided just how brutal he would be and it all worked. It didn't take long for the two to make connections with the fans and once more personal storylines were created the two just grew in popularity. Sure fans were more invested in Lana to start off with who simply killed her role every single week the performance from Rusev inside the ring won fans over massively and the two in no time sat at the top. Personally, I would love to see these guys reunite on TV and while they are apart of the Mixed Match challenge together I would like to see them reunite on screen full time somewhere down the line, the two are just perfect for each both in real life and as a pair on screen with their roles greatly complimenting each other.
The Miz and Maryse
When talking about couples that are perfect for each other no one springs to mind more than the Miz and Maryse. The literal male and female versions of each other their chemistry is as clear as anything. From day one there has always been something there and when Maryse returned to the WWE in two thousand and sixteen the pair became the most must-see couple on the roster. Maryse compliments Miz brilliantly! Reuniting the pair on screen was the best next move in the career of the Miz and it really did allow him to go to the next level. The moment Maryse was put by his side doors were opened in terms of what he could do next and a great push was one of the things waiting for him. Everything they do seemed to be completely effortless and what was so brilliant was how little Maryse even had to say it just worked. With the pair now being given their own reality show things look to be on the up for both of them. The Miz is forever climbing the ladder and becoming a fan favorite while Maryse remains reality TV gold. While the two make great TV bad guys they are likable and for me personally, I'm far more likely to enjoy and tune into these two than the likes of Nikki and John for their sheer likeability.
Stephanie McMahon and Triple H
Of course, this list would not be complete without mentioning Stephanie McMahon and Triple. Still the number one power couple in all things pro wrestling these two are at the top of their game. It's no secret that the pair will take over control of the WWE once Vince McMahon steps down with changes already been so clearly noticeable since Triple H gained more backstage power. Both throughout the years have been apart of a number of iconic storyline's and with the future quite literally in their hands, it's going to be interesting seeing how the WWE evolves over the coming years. Now, more than anyone featuring on this list today people have split opinions both on their personal relationship and what we see on screen, however, there is no denying the simple fact that these two stand as the King and Queen of the WWE. It's Stephanie and Hunter at the top. Both share the passion for creating an even better WWE in terms of NXT, the women's division, and new talent while also keeping themselves at the forefront of major storyline's throughout the years. The pair has had so many iconic moments and the story of their relationship which we have seen grow throughout the years they have spent on screen makes them one of the greatest WWE power couples of all time!
Edge and Lita
Okay, so as I mentioned in the intro, this post is going to mainly focus on my personal favourites and honestly, these guys just had to be included. Growing up a wrestling fan the story of Edge and Lita was one I loved watching more than any. So I definitely wasn't old enough to watch the majority of their work together but heck was it entertaining and as an adult now I enjoy watching their story just as much. It was personal, intense, entertaining, and these guys were without shadow of a doubt the number one power couple of that time. Their feud with John Cena is one of my all-time personal favourites and the segments involving Matt Hardy in my eyes are simply iconic. They represented the men and women your parents told you to stay away from and certainly didn't want you coming home with. They were reckless, bad ass and broke all the rules and honestly I don't feel as though the two as a pair are spoken about enough and so I just had to include them in today's post because let's be honest they are one of the best power couples in WWE history!
Macho Man Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth
And finally, of course, I had to mention Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth. The ultimate wrestling power couple. I'm sure every single one of you expected these two to feature in the post because they simply had to. There is no one that did it better than Miss Elizabeth and Mach Man. Of course, I was
