NXT Stars We Want To See More of Post Takeover Chicago

There is no denying the huge success that was NXT Takeover: Chicago. The event presented fans with a night jam packed full of must-see wrestling, excellent storytelling, and character development that had the NXT universe hooked and completely invested! The night didn’t see any title changes, but we did get an insight as to what the future holds, and many have questioned what we can expect at the next NXT takeover event as well as who we should be keeping an eye now that the NXT talent has left Chicago. Today we are going to be listing seven NXT stars we want to see more of ahead of NXT Takeover: Brooklyn.

Lacey Evans

Ahead of NXT Takeover: Chicago, Lacey Evans was beaming with momentum. Her short rivalry with Kairi Sane allowed the former member of the US Marines to make an impact and effectively turn heads. Impressing the WWE from day one fans have seen glimpses of what Evans is capable of, but it was last month she really stepped into the spotlight and a singles bout against Sane close to Takeover put her in the conversation regarding the future of the NXT Women’s championship. While she may be a fair distance away from a shot a gold Evans is a talent many want to see more of in the coming months and we can most certainly expect to see her face on our screen far more. Her diversity in the ring from athletic ability, speed, and strength gives her an advantage and over the next couple of month,s the NXT universe can expect to see Evans gain more momentum and made a stronger figure on the roster/women’s division.

EC3

Many were surprised to see EC3 not apart of the NXT Takeover Card and even more expressed concerns this was the start of a bad run however, in all honesty, it was evident there just wasn’t a space for him on the show and that’s okay. He was shown in the audience mid-way through the Takeover event and the crowd reaction for him within those seconds spoke volumes. As of right now, he’s momentum is high, his segments and promos are strong and over the coming month,s the NXT fans can most certainly expect to see more of the top one percent. In fact, when we look at the main event picture and discuss potential opponent for Aliester Black heading into the next Takeover event, it’s EC3 who is a big talking point. There’s a demand to see him in the main event slot and with a strikingly different character to the current title holder, their rivalry would make for something very interesting very much a must see. Could EC3 go on to compete for NXT gold in August? Well, as of right now he most certainly is a favourite and one to keep your eyes on!

Bianca Belair

When it comes to all round performers Bianca Belair is at the top. She’s quick, strong, bursting with charisma, and extremely athletic. Over the past year, we have seen more and more of Belair and she has left the NXT universe stunned. Overshadowed slightly by the likes of Shayna Baszler and Nikki Cross, it’s only now we can really begin to see a bigger push in the near future for the rising star. Like Lacey Evans, it may just be a little longer before Belair gets her hands on a title shot but in the build, to NXT Takeover Brooklyn we can expect to see much much more of her. Already said to face Dakota Kai, Belair is easing her way into more storyline’s and establishing a greater role in the division. Come the late Summer the NXT universe could very well witness Belair competing in standout singles contests and as we approach the end of the year there is a strong possibility Bianca could have gold wrapped firmly around her waist.

War Raiders

It was earlier this year we see Indie tag team darlings War Machine debut for NXT as War Raiders and ever since they have been on a path of destruction. Taking out local competitors Hanson and Rowe have gained some serious momentum but in the build to the next Takeover event, it’s key we see them breakout of this kind of booking begin to focus their attention on stronger teams within the division. Whether they get an NXT Tag team title shot in August at this point is irrelevant and instead what is important is making sure they beginning to really show just how diverse they are. The next two months need to show War Raiders for what they are all about, this means more character development, more mic time, storyline’s, and stronger/lengthier matches. It’s clear the two will eventually get a shot at gold but as of right now the focus must be on taking these two to the next level and introducing the NXT universe to the tag team that have dominated the indie scene.

Candice LeRae

Since arriving in NXT Candice LeRae has found herself injected into her husband’s feud with Tommaso Ciampa. With Johnny Gargano’s best interest at heart she has put herself in harms way, defended her man and contributed to the story but it’s time we saw more of Candice LeRae the wrestler and future women’s champion. Not only would she make for an excellent opponent for Shayna Baszler heading into the next takeover event, but she has all the potential in the world to provide the NXT universe with singles matches capable of elevating the division to a greater height. While she is sure to remain apart of the Gargano/Ciampa feud fans want to see her compete in more matches and work her own rivalry. Such an amazing talent ready to bring so much to the women’s division and the roster as a whole it’s time she really kick started her run in NXT and take part in those must see matches and feuds hardcore fans know she is capable of.

With NXT once again raising the bar the next Takeover event has of course got a huge buzz around it and the build hasn’t event begun. Over the next month and a half we can expect new faces to surface, brand new rivalries, standout matches, and these five listed superstars make an even greater impact before heading to Brooklyn once again for another star studded must see weekend.
