Five Dream Main Roster Opponents for : Ricochet

As always, the NXT roster is stacked! From Ricochet to Ec3, from Velveteen Dream to Adam Cole, from Trevor Lee to recently signed Matt Riddle, the world of the Black and Yellow brand is looking as strong as ever but of course, these names will not remain in developmental forever and it’s only a matter of time before each one finds themselves competing on either RAW or Smackdown LIVE. Today, we kick-start a brand-new series here on my blog where we take a current NXT star and list five dream main roster opponents for that superstar. We open this brand-new series here by looking at the king and current North America Champion, Ricochet.

AJ Styles

As far as dream matches go I don’t believe any can quite top the list the way AJ Styles vs Ricochet does. The WWE is jam packed full of amazing and promising talents set to take over and lead a new generation in the company and Ricochet just happens to be one of those major faces. Current WWE Champion AJ Styles is an interesting one, however. One of the older superstars currently active on the roster he presents something different, his role, of course, is to stand out alone and work an amazing WWE career as he has done but also to provide those special moments for up and comers. A contest between Styles and Ricochet is one to sure benefit both men. The pair without a shadow of a doubt would work an excellent must-see match sure to go down in history but what this bout does is ensure a top future for Ricochet proving just how much of a major talent he is but also highlighting Styles as an all-time great in the wrestling world.

Seth Rollins

With both Seth Rollins and Ricochet leading the future of the WWE it’s clear these are two of the names that will feature right at the top in years to come. Throughout their careers so far both men have been apart of simply phenomenal matches we continue to go back and watch whether it be before or during their run with the WWE. Looking at the styles of these two superstars it’s evident they would easily compliment each other and provide fans with an exciting, fast paste, high flying contest with an unpredictable outcome. While a full-on feud would work massively with Rollins working as the heel it’s clear the two could work a damn strong must-see regardless of the storyline.

Sami Zayn

While Sami Zayn may currently be out of action due to an injury he remains a talking point when discussing future dream matches against several current NXT superstars with Ricochet truly topping that list for so many. Zayn throughout his wrestling career has been a part of so many musts- see and “greatest of all time/year” including bouts against the likes of John Cena, Kevin Owens, and Shinsuke Nakamura to name a few. Looking towards the future and its evident Ricochet is sure to be a name to add to that list. By far two of the most skilled, gifted, and popular superstars in the company its an opponent like Ricochet whom could seriously help remind fans of just how damn talented Zayn is while also providing us all with a generation highlight!

Mustafa Ali

Unless you are a frequent viewer of 205 LIVE I doubt you could truly understand just how much Mustafa Ali brings to the table. Unfortunately, the WWE has not given him the time to shine over on Monday night RAW since arriving in the WWE, but the cruiserweight standout has been just that, a standout over on Tuesday nights. His in-ring performances and showcase of skill have been fantastic proving to be one of the best all-round in-ring performers/wrestlers the company has. Now, I don’t see things turning around massively for Ali any time soon, but I do see bigger, standout matches taking place where he continues to prove the previous point and who better to give him another big match than Ricochet. Fans can expect to see the current champion make brief appearances and while he is unlikely to remain a permeant fixture the one match alone could do wonders for the 205 LIVE brand. Jeff Hardy

And finally, we must include Jeff Hardy in this post. Okay, so there may be an age difference, we may want to see Hardy take things slower and easier in matches during this stage of his career, however, can we really deny the fact that this is a dream match? In twenty eighteen there really is no man who can push Hardy to his biggest limits than Ricochet. Sure, to be an intense, action-packed, fast-paced, and entertaining contest there is an air of passing the torch that comes with this match and while risky its this kind of contest that can truly remind fans of exactly why Hardy is Jeff Hardy and what the future holds with Ricochet as part of the roster!

And that is my list!
