Why Alexa Bliss Should Join Popular RAW Faction

Factions are something the WWE either do amazingly well or damn bad and in recent years the likes of the Shield, The Undisputed Era, and Sanity have been amongst those to really make an impact for the better. A recent trio the company has put together consists of long-term WWE superstar Dolph Ziggler, the Monster Among men in Braun Strowman, and one of the most promising stars on the roster today, Drew McIntyre. The group have been working together briefly for the past month and while I doubt the WWE will keep them working as a solid faction for the long run it must be said that they make for a very exciting team with bags of potential and in today’s blog post we are going to be exploring that potential by taking a look at Alexa Bliss and discussing why including her in this little team could be an excellent move forward.

The Faction and Why They Should Stick Together

As I mentioned in the intro, I don’t believe that the WWE will keep these three superstars working together for a long time. It’s clear this is a short-term thing with McIntyre very likely to receive a big singles push in the new year. However, with that being said, it must be acknowledged that McIntyre, Strowman, and Ziggler have proven to be a very exciting, entertaining, and impressive team leaving many fans wanting more and believing they could be used as a proper faction for a little bit longer, at least spanning over the course of the next few months. I know I personally would like to see more go down between them and The Shield but looking deeper these are three very powerful, skilled, and dangerous superstars who could make Monday Night RAW much more intense and must- see but could there be one more name who could shake things up even more?

Little Miss Bliss

I mentioned in a blog post several weeks back that I would love to see Alexa Bliss work closer with Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler after an Instagram edit and some conversations there that I had seen and with Strowman now joining alongside the tag team champs my interest in this idea has only grown and it makes even more sense for the former Women’s champion to align herself with these three superstars. I am going to be going into detail as to why Bliss, in particular, should be involved but let’s kick start that off by highlighting the fact that Bliss’ character, mannerisms, the image fits perfectly within this group.

Experience

If we go back far enough into Bliss’ career fans will be reminded that she is no stranger to working alongside male champions. During her run in NXT, Bliss worked very closely with partner Buddy Murthy and Wesley Blake in what was actually one of my favourite little teams in recent memory (to be fair, I still have no idea why Blake and Murphy were split up so soon!). Her heel turn upon joining Blake and Murthy was a major turning point in her career. It was here we saw more charisma, more character, and fans gained far more interest in a woman who could become a key figure in the women’s division. Her role in this little faction really did take Blake and Murphy to new heights. She provided them also with more character and interest. She gave them an edge and her little antics during matches and mic work really worked and put these guys at the top.

I strongly believe that Alexa could bring the same thing to this new faction. She’s experienced in this role so it makes sense and we know she can make it work amazingly well and just like we mentioned about her in her previous role like this, Bliss fits in perfectly. She’s a badass, small but fierce, dangerous and cunning and could make for a very interesting, fun, and again dangerous addition to this team.

Her relationship with Braun Strowman

I mentioned earlier that Bliss joining these guys makes more sense now that Braun Strowman is working alongside the tag team champs and I stick by that one hundred percent. The two have spent a great deal of twenty eighteen working together, standing out in the Mixed Match challenge were a romantic angle was teased. With Strowman now in the role of a heel also the make for one pretty epic team with so much to bring to the table. Putting Bliss amongst these three superstars opens doors for the WWE to explore more between these two superstars and while a romantic storyline isn’t a favourite idea for many its one the company is likely to do and Strowman’s presence in this faction makes it easier to write Bliss into it also!

An Evolution Continues and Consistency is Key

Involving women in factions is an area the WWE continue to fail in. All female factions haven’t gone to plan or truly worked, and we have only really seen success in SAnitY where a female superstar has played such an important and entertaining role in a faction. It’s watching SAnitY during their run in NXT that really did leave me wanting to see more women involved in these sorts of roles and here we have a perfect opportunity. We do still have much more work to be done in the women’s evolution and there is still a long road to women truly feeling equal to their male peers and involving women more in these kinds of positions would be a subtle, small, but important step forward not to mention the consistency and further emphasis on the mixed match challenge and mixed tag team matches.

Why Alexa?

We’ve said throughout this blog post today that Alexa Bliss makes for the perfect woman for the job. Her experience in this role, her character, and her relationship with Braun Strowman all add to why this makes perfect sense but there is also no denying that these four superstars could all do so much for one another. Alexa has always been at the top of her division, she’s been a strong focal point from the moment she was called up to the main roster and after two years this is the first time fans have seen Alexa away from the Women’s Championship picture and while it is actually a good thing I would love to see her involved in something totally new. We see her use and manipulate her friendships and alliances with the likes of Alicia Fox and Mickie James but seeing her involved with more superstars and given an even bigger role on the roster would make for an exciting and fresh new step. Putting emphasis on how she uses and manipulates people is easily done but we would also be able to see an even darker, more intense, and dangerous side to her character and it would be interesting seeing just how well these four could be booked, what the would get up to every week, and how they could really shake things up. It’s exciting and new directions like this are exactly what the WWE needs to look into and try out because while it is a risk that risk could result in something pretty amazing.

And there we go! I had loads of fun writing this and taking notes for it. I’m confident this will divide opinion and there will be many that will disagree, but this was a fun post and I really do believe this could be a fun and successful faction that does make sense! I would, of course, love to know your thoughts so feel free to leave a comment below!
