Predicting Potential Up and Coming Heel and Face Turns

Heel and face turns have forever gone down as some of the most exciting moments in wrestling history with memorable turns listed as Iconic moments for several WWE superstars including the likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin, Seth Rollins, and Tommaso Ciampa amongst many. In today’s WWE product we see an array of superstars of different characters and throughout this blog post we are going to be looking at some of the potential heel and face turns we could be about to see in the coming months.

Finn Balor

For quite some time now I have been calling for a Finn Balor heel turn. While twenty nineteen has so far been a great year for the first ever Universal Champion things can so easily grow to become a lot stronger if the WWE made a huge character turn for this rather huge talent! Anyone aware of Balor’s work away from the WWE will know just how well he can pull off the role of a wrestling villain and if the company head in that direction they really do have so many potential storylines awaiting the former NXT star. Finn’s move to Smackdown LIVE has opened new doors of opportunity and a heel turn would give him the edge and the direction to the WWE Championship and what would make for a sure must-see contest against Kofi Kingston leading him to a title reign he sure needs!

Alexa Bliss

While she most certainly makes for one of the best female heels in the WWE today, a new direction for Alexa Bliss in the role of a babyface is something the WWE has teased in recent months. A natural on the mic Alexa has stood out for her brilliant character work as a division villain but after playing this role for so long now it would be great to see Bliss heading in a new direction. Taking on a babyface role will open new doors for Bliss to try something completely different and play around with the mic work she is so strong at, showcase new side to her move set and explore storyline’s she hasn’t been a part of because of the heel character she has portrayed for so long.

New Day

For years now, the New Day have dominated the tag team division and continue to earn the right to be named one of the best teams in the company’s history, a bold yet true statement. This year Woods, Big E, and Kofi Kingston have all gone down a new path and showcased their bond and love for one another more than ever before and it’s the focus on their strong relationship and bond that has left many including myself sure a heel turn and the end of the New Day is on the horizon. As such a big fan I would hate to see these guys split but considering the foundation really has been set and there are so many indications this decision could go ahead I have learned to accept and embrace what could be an epic storyline! With Kingston technically not making it to Wrestlemania without Big E and Xavier Woods the foundation has been set and the angle has been created. Woods and E turning on Kingston is something I have been expected since Kofi set his sights on the WWE championship and now holding the title this could be the opening to a major triple threat matches which hasn’t had this much hype since the Shield triple threat.

Killian Dain

With news suggesting former Sanity member, Killian Dain is heading back to the black and gold brand its time for the formally known Big Damo to make an impact as a solo star and while he wasn’t the most popular member of the faction Dane has some serious potential and talent sure to lead him to a bright future. Of course, his size and structure means he makes for a monster heel most certainly able to shine in the role of a monstrous villain, however, this is a character angle we have seen so much in recent years from Braun Strowman to Lars Sullivan and its time for something new. Kickstarting this new chapter in Dain’s career with a babyface character enables him to make a huge impact, get over and show a completely side to his character NXT and WWE fans have never seen before.

Aleister Black

It’s been a few weeks since fans have seen Aleister Black inside a WWE ring but with the former NXT champion set to make his presence felt as a full-time member of the Smackdown LIVE roster exciting months are ahead and promo’s we have seen from Black in recent weeks has indicated a heel run could be on the horizon. A top babyface is something the blue brand will benefit from especially considering Smackdown is need of more good guys, however, there is no denying that Black can bring so much in the role of a heel and the WWE have the chance here to explore a much darker side to his character and push the boundaries once again.

Liv Morgan

And the final name I want to talk about today is Liv Morgan.  I’ve mentioned before that I was surprised and rather disappointed to see Liv make the move from RAW to Smackdown LIVE parting ways with the Riott Squad, however, Liv has always had some excellent potential and standing on her on the blue brand has really opened up a great deal of opportunities. Now, Liv has done a fantastic job in the role of a heel throughout her main roster career so far but it's evident that in the position of a babyface, Liv is likely to stand a better chance at greater and faster success and is more likely to make an impact and become a fan favourite when playing a likeable babyface.

And those are just some of the future heel and face turns I’m expecting to see in the coming months but who would you add to this list? Let me know down in the comments below or tweet me over at @TezangiVictoria.
