Six NXT Stars To Watch Out For in the Future

The NXT roster is forever stacked with new names signing and adding to the roster every year, however, with so many stars coming into the spotlight and making their arrival we can often see some names get lost in the shuffle not always get the air time, credit, or attention they truly deserve. In today’s blog post we are going to be looking at six of those names and I’m going to be telling you why I believe they are all superstars you should most certainly be keeping your eyes on!

Deonna Purrazzo

It’s been a while since we last saw Deonna Purrazzo on NXT TV but when the former indie star makes her return to Full Sail fans most certainly should keep an eye on her! As one of the most exciting prospects in terms of the future of the women’s division Purrazzo is a woman destined for championship gold! Experienced, passionate, and popular with fans Deonna has a move set that ensures an array of great matches await her in the future against multiple superstars! The NXT women’s division is due a re-shuffle and we can most certainly should expect Purrazzo to truly come into the spotlight soon and finally be given the attention and ring time she more than deserves.

Shane Thorne

In all honesty, Shane Thorne is a man I worry about. Since his tag team partner departed with the WWE, he has struggled to find himself involved in anything solid and regular booking hasn’t been given to him. We have seen Thorn compete in matches here and there for NXT TV, but no clear direction has been set up and he is becoming a very forgettable face on the roster. The direction his career has taken is truly a shame considering how much experience, charisma and talent Shane possesses and I really do hope the WWE turn things around for him and so fast for it falls into the bracket of talent who could find themselves no longer with the company come the end of the year.

Killer Kelly

Moving over to the NXT UK scene now and we have a woman I’m personally a huge fan of! Killer Kelly. During last years Mae Young Classic Kelly was a woman who stood out to me more than any other. She may not have lasted in the tournament very long she did, in fact, compete in one of the best matches of the tournament itself against Mieko Satamura. It was during this encounter Kelly massively proved herself and got people talking. Since then we haven’t seen much of her at all but with more coming from the NXT UK women’ division she really is a name I hope to see more of in the coming months and possibly even set sights on the women’s championship for a match against Toni Storm would make for a real must see!

Fabian Achner and Marcel Barthel

The tag team alliance of Fabian Achner and Marcel Barthel is one that has me very interested and excited1 Fabian, in particular, has been a part of the WWE for a couple of years now and while he’s never been given a big-time push his performances in the ring have remained consistent and entertaining to say the least. A massively talented star this is a man I’m truly pulling for to receive a push and even more time in the ring time. Of course, Fabian can shine brightly on his own as he has shown but the WWE putting him with marcel Barthel has created something very special! Marcel is a young star also with so much talent and together they create an exciting tag team with plenty of potential! They have already had a few very strong showings on episodes of NXT and NXT and UK and I cannot wait for the WWE to begin paying more attention to these two and stepping up their booking.

Taynara Conti

A woman who really stood out for me in last years Mae Young Classic was Taynara Conti. Her second time around competing in this tournament she really did show how far she has come in the space of twelve months and grabbed mine and so many other fans’ attention. This is a girl who has shown some exciting elements of her move set without even competing in a lengthy contest and with her character development improving greatly its clear she is forever improving and the more we get to see of her the more I truly believe she will grab the attention of fans and create a huge impact. A young up and comer she’s an exciting name in the women’s division today.

Wild Boar

When I first started easing myself back into British Wrestling it was current NXT UK star Wild Boar who really grabbed my attention. Not looking like a single other wrestler on the scene and the WWE roster today he stands out like a sore thumb and at first glance can be taken as a joke of an act, however, when you watch him compete it is clear this is a man with plenty to bring to the table. Experienced and possessing a very exciting move set the WWE/NXT Universe haven’t seen a fraction of what he really is capable of and while he may not look like a top talent his skill and wrestling ability is something of a top talent for sure!
