Five Inevitable Champions
Four months into twenty nineteen and we are beginning to see
just who could become a future champion. Standout matches, rivalries, and
storylines have shaped and exciting few months ahead and it’s clear that there
are a bunch of superstars destined for gold! But exactly who stands and chance
and exactly when could fans see these huge stars capture a championship in the
WWE?

Drew McIntyre
Throughout the past four months, former NXT star Drew
McIntyre has gained a great deal of momentum working solid matches, picking up
big victories, and colliding with some of the biggest and best talents on the RAW
roster. The Scottish Psychopath has had a brilliant build on the main roster
with the WWE conducting his run in a very smart manner but it's clear it's about
time McIntyre got his hands-on main roster gold of his own. A favourite amongst
many to win this year's Money in the Bank there is no denying Drew would make for an excellent
pick to score that huge victory and kick start a new era in the WWE as
Universal Champion. On the flip side, moving him over to Smackdown LIVE opens
up the opportunity for McIntyre to become WWE champion. Regardless of what
exact title he gets his hands-on Drew has had a year far too strong for him not
capture a championship and it really is inevitable he gets his hands on one
soon!
Roman Reigns
From the moment Roman Reigns made his return to in-ring action
fans have been positive that its only a matter of time till ger captures gold
once again! While I love that the WWE have moved him over to Smackdown LIVE there was most certainly a chance to see Reigns vs Rollins with roles switched up seeing Reigns chase after the Universal champion. The move to the blue brand does mean Reigns may have a little longer till he gets his hands on major championship gold with babyface WWE Champ Kofi Kingston still in possession of the title its unlikely the two will collide however, its inevitable that Roman will get a major title shot at some point its only a matter of time.
Kay Lee Ray
Moving over to the NXT UK scene and its time to focus in on
the women’s division. Toni Storm becoming the NXT UK Women’s champion was an inevitable
win in itself. From the get-go she was dubbed as the face of the entire roster
and it was truly only a matter of time before she got her hands on the title
but with the division thickening competition is getting tougher! One of the
standout names amongst the women’s division is newcomer Kay Lee Ray. The experienced
former ICW Women’s champion is yet to show a fraction of what she is capable of
but with the WWE already using her well and her skillset sure to provide a
great match with the current champion she is most certainly a favourite to take
on Storm at some point in the coming months and I have no doubt that this year
Kay Lee Ray will find herself as champion.
Braun Strowman
If there is anyone on this list in serious need of a run as champion,
it is Braun Strowman. In all honesty, I’m very surprised that the WWE are yet
to give Strowman a title considering they have been presented with so many perfect
opportunities to do so. It was clear last year he was the perfect superstar to
dethrone Lesnar and become Universal champion with his booking and build
proving he was more than ready for the win. In twenty nineteen so far, fans
haven’t been left with much solid content from Strowman and I know I personally
have been very impressed with what we have seen from him. I believe the WWE missed out on a major opportunity to move him to Smackdown LIVE but with the US title now on Monday nignts, the monster among men may finally get his hands on a WWE title.
AJ Styles
He may have had a very historic lengthy reign as WWE champion
last year but there is no doubt in anyone’s mind that AJ Styles most certainly
has another reign as champion coming up in the near future. His move to
Monday night RAW during the superstar shake up fans can expect to see Styles
eventually, get his hands on gold once again and whether that be the US or IC
title or a major WWE championship what we know is Styles can bring a heck of a
lot to any championship and reigning as champion will allow Styles to work some
great matches and rivalries while in the process adding more to the careers of
up and coming talent. There is also a chance that after his recent move to Monday nights a heel turn may be in the picture for Styles allowing him to possibly dethrone Rollins in a big twist.
And those are just some of the names I believe will most certainly
get their hands-on WWE gold at some point this year! I know this was a slightly
smaller blog post than usual, but I wanted to write this one for it’s a topic I’ve
wanted to discuss a little here for a while! As always, I would love to know
what you guys think so make sure to leave a comment below or tweet me over at @TezangiVictoria
telling me who you think will become champion this year also.
