WWE VS NXT Matches We Need to See

Both the NXT and WWE main roster are jam-packed full of amazing talent! The company has more diverse, experienced, talented and entertaining stars than ever before and the future looks very bright for the WWE. Because of the standard of the roster and the names we see on RAW and Smackdown LIVE as well as NXT, there are an array of dream matches but what NXT and main roster stars make for a true must-see collision?

Seth Rollins vs Adam Cole

It may be a while before we see Seth Rollins and Adam Cole collide considering the leader of the Undisputed Era shows no signs of making the transition to the main roster anytime soon, however, there really is no denying a clash between these two former indie stars makes for a dream contest! Both highly skilled in-ring performers it's clear their exciting and skilful move sets will make for an epic matchup bringing out the best in one another. The two-share multiple in ring similarities and one on one between them could very easily result in one of the best matches fans have seen in the WWE in a very very long time!

Shayna Baszler vs Sonya Deville

Sonya Deville is a true star to keep your eyes on! The former tough enough competitor has impressed fans over the past year with her solid in-ring skill and capabilities of putting on some strong matches and delivering great spots! With that being said, we still haven’t seen the very best of Deville and I’m confident that when given more ring time she will show to be a serious potential future champion and breakout star and who could possibly give Sonya her best match to date? None other than two-time NXT Women’s champion, Shayna Baszler. Their shared MMA experience means the two have a legit reason to collide in a battle of who really is the best meaning both the storyline and what we see in the ring between the two could be something very special and career changing for Deville in particular.

Pete Dunne vs Daniel Bryan

As one of the youngest stars we will be talking about today, Pete Dunne is one of the most exciting prospects for the WWE. Already in his early career, he has been apart of fantastic matches, standout storylines, and proven to be one of the best characters on the roster today! As a result, fans have a list of main roster opponents they want to see the Bruiserweight collide with and a popular favourite amongst that list is Daniel Bryan. Both very similar indeed, their technical backgrounds ensure a brilliant pure wrestling contest would take place between the two and given enough time this could result in being a true classic going on to inspire many young up and comers. Sure, to be a slower pace star the faster paced moments could really see some epic high-flying spots and the submissions we will see from both men is sure to be very exciting!

War Raiders vs The Revival

I may not personally be the biggest fan of how the WWE has used its tag team division on the main roster recently but looking at the future of tag team wrestling in the company there truly is a lot to be excited for! The Revival despite their weaker booking continue to prove to be one of the best tag teams on the roster today and there are so many lengthy tag team bouts I want to see them apart of! One of the dream collisions, in my opinion, sees Dash and Dawson come face to face with War Raiders! The current NXT Tag Team Champions have already made such an impact but with the best still yet to come from these two stars colliding with the Revival would very easily give them their best showing to date and prove tag team wrestling in the WWE is stronger than ever before.

Io Shirai vs Sasha Banks

It’s been a while since Sasha Banks has been apart of a huge standout one on one contest and while I’m glad she and Bayley have found a solid spot as tag team champions I really do want to see Banks back taking part in those huge one on one match ups. The NXT Women’s division continues to prove the future of women’s wrestling is very much strong and exciting and one of the leading faces is, of course, Io Shirai! The exciting up and coming star have bags of experience, serious athleticism and high-flying skills like we have never seen in the women’s division! A collision between these two young stars makes for a dream match that could so easily go down as an instant classic! There is really no name more capable of reminding fans of how damn good Banks is than the former Mae Young Classic competitor.

Velveteen Dream vs John Cena

The Velveteen Dream has been one of the most over, exciting, and interesting superstars on the NXT roster for the past two years! The young and unique star has been apart of several standout matches and storyline’s that have shown him to be serious championship worthy and there is no denying he should most certainly go on to be a major star on the main roster! Looking at who he should collide with there is an endless list of opponents that would ensure Dream takes part in more epic matches and one of the favourites, in my opinion, has got to be John Cena! There have been rumours of the two colliding for quite some time now and the fan interest has not died down! Cena’s new position in the WWE means putting over new stars and making young up and coming talent look the best they can is vital, and I believe no NXT star will benefit more than facing Cena than the Dream.

As we have seen today, the future of the WWE is very bright and there really are so many dream matches to look forward to that could so easily become a reality! With such a stacked and talented roster both on RAW and Smackdown LIVE and NXT fans have every reason to be excited about what is to come!
