Five NXT Stars Tyler Breeze Must Face Upon Return to Brand

Upon news that Tyler Breeze has made a much-needed return to the NXT roster today's blog post is going to be focusing on this move and what5 could await him on the black and gold brand. The landscape of NXT has changed massively since Breeze was previously a full member of the roster and while going back to developmental may not be the dream career root it's clear this is the very option for Breeze and an exciting few months ahead most certainly await him but just who are the names he must face?

Velveteen Dream

Throughout his WWE career so far, the Velveteen Dream has been compared by many to former roster member Tyler Breeze for their shared flamboyant style and exciting move sets. The pair both represent a very different kind of WWE superstar breaking away from the typical main event star however, both have won over the NXT Universe and proven themselves through their fantastic wrestling and character work. Taking on Dream upon his return to the black and gold brand will enable Breeze to showcase the very best of his character with a sure clash in personalities to take place while the actual wrestling between the two is sure to be equally exciting and must see.

Adam Cole

There is no doubt that Adam Cole is one of the best wrestlers on the roster today and he has already been a part of so many epic encounters during his time in NXT and with Tyler Breeze making a return to the roster it appears as though another brilliant matchup could be on the cards once again for this former North American champion. During his time on the black and gold brand Breeze took part in a number of matchups that showed him to be a brilliant in-ring competitor and its clear he was never once given the chance to do the same on the main roster, challenging Adam Cole while may not end in a victory will give him the opportunity to show just how strong he is in the ring. The two styles are sure to compliment each other and I’m confident Cole will bring out the very best in Breeze and could very easily give him his best WWE match to date.

Johnny Gargano

Speaking of some of the best wrestlers in the world today Johnny Gargano is most certainly one of those talents who make the list. With an exciting move set and experience on his side, Gargano makes for yet another excellent opponent for Breeze. Just like Cole, Gargano is a superstar capable of bringing out the very best in Breeze and will give Tyler the opportunity to remind fans of just how great of a wrestler he really is. We know from his history that Breeze works very well with talent like Gargano working brilliant matches in the past against the likes of Neville and Tyson Kidd and with Gargano capable of taking part in standout bouts against any kind of opponent this is a dream contest no one will want to miss out on.

Keith Lee

So far WWE NXT fans have only seen a fraction of what Keith Lee is capable of but with Tyler Breeze re-joining the black and gold brand we could be about to see a very new and exciting side to Lee. While I’m expecting Breeze to return in the role of a babyface we know for a fact he makes for one brilliant heel and back in his original role a rivalry between Lee and Breeze could make for something very exciting and present fantastic wrestling content! The two are very different in appearance and in-ring style but both know exactly how to surprise fans with exactly what they can bring to the table. Together the pair could very easily create a contest that goes down as a true highlight of the year and of both their careers while surprising fans massively with what they can do and the standard at which they work at.  This is most certainly a dark horse contest on this list!

Matt Riddle

And finally, we have arguably one of the most exciting matches on the card and the bout that could so easily go down as a classic NXT contest we have Tyler Breeze vs Matt Riddle. Again, the two have strikingly different styles however, when colliding in the ring the pair are more than capable of creating something very entertaining. Riddle is a man who knows exactly how to change things up in the ring to cater to and get the upper hand over his opponent and it’s a skill Breeze too possesses. When Tyler is given the chance, he really can become a very intense performer and I believe that is the side of him we will most certainly see if he is to take on Riddle. I also believe its Riddle who will push out a completely new side of Breeze and bring him to a new level of difficulty.

There is no denying that NXT is the very best place for Breeze and is most certainly a second chance for him and the WWE to get things right. The roster is as always stacked meaning there are so many brilliant encounters that await Breeze and I hope I have been able to shed a light on just some of those must-see match ups.
