5 Most Intense Characters in the WWE Today

When we look at the current WWE roster there are plenty of diverse characters. For the first time in a while, there really is a mixture of different styles and personalities all adding something new to the company and the roster today! But when we look at some of these names who are standing out as some of the most intense talents? Well, today we are going to be focusing in on the main roster, NXT and NXT UK and discussing what the most intense and interesting characters in the company today are bringing to the table and why should be paying close attention to these names.

Tommaso Ciampa

Despite being out on injury at the moment, the former NXT champion in Tommaso Ciampa remains a talking point amongst fans and rightfully so. In recent weeks there has been a greater conversation surrounding his return and I amongst many other fans are very excited for when the day comes around where we see him back in the ring! Now, it doesn’t feel that long ago that the NXT universe was welcoming a new Ciampa to the scene. A darker, more barbaric, focused and intense Tommaso to what we are used to seeing. His obsession with the NXT championship created a new side to Ciampa. As a result, he has become one of the most intense and interesting stars in the WWE today. From how he’s promos have been cut to his baric performances in the ring and personal shots Ciampa has fans completely hooked whenever he appears on screen, not to mention the clutching of the NXT title and his slow walk to the ring and the effect that entrance had also. 

Dexter Lumis

An NXT newcomer that has me very excited is former IMPACT Wrestling star, Dexter Lumis. Making his debut for the brand earlier this month during the breakout star tournament, Dexter already has many interested in what he is set to bring to the table. His intense vibe look in eyes and aura of darkness that surrounds him is very intriguing, to say the least! Now, of course, things haven’t even kick-started for Lumis in NXT just yet but when the WWE goes ahead with pushing him fans can expect to see something very new from Dexter. If the company truly open the doors for an array of dark and intense storylines, Dexter could so easily become a massively talked about name on the roster with storylines and angles that add shock factor, controversy and huge entertainment.  

Bray Wyatt

When it comes to haunting and intense characters in the WWE today none quite top the list like Bray Wyatt. From the get-go, Wyatt has stood out for just how dark and intense his character is but in recent months fans have witnessed the birth of a new Bray Wyatt and things have gotten even more intense and darker than ever before. From the image change to the haunting promos, this is an interesting and exciting time for Wyatt and fans are completely hooked and invested. His recent return that saw the former WWE Champion attack Finn Balor left me with genuine Goosebumps and nightmares! The company are truly going all out with Bray this time around and the real fear factor he is bringing to the table is separating him from the rest of the roster entirely.   

Aleister Black

Despite being early into his main roster career in the WWE, Aleister Black has fans very excited! His unique look gives him an immediate edge and has him standing out greatly! In the ring Black also brings something different to the table, his image and his wrestling style is evidently intense and entertaining and as a result, he has fans completely hooked from the moment he appears on screen. When it comes to Black there is true adult feel to his character, a dark and unique element that opens him up to storylines and angles that have a vibe we haven’t seen before. 

Randy Orton

And we conclude this list with arguably one of the most intense performers we have ever seen in the WWE, Randy Orton. As one of the most sadistic stars in the company as well as one of the most experienced Orton reaches a whole new level in comparison to the names we have mentioned throughout today’s blog post. Over the past year the WWE have reminded fans of just how dark, twisted and intense Orton can be and its timeless element of his character. Nailed perfectly, Randy perfects this part of persona with the lack of emotion behind everything he does and if the WWE can pay even more attention to this in the coming months then we could see some brilliant content once again.
