Why The Alliance Between Orton and The Revival is Perfect
In recent weeks fans have seen an interesting and will
fitting alliance form between Randy Orton and the Revival. While sharing their
difference the alliance is working very well and it has sparked great conversation
amongst the wrestling community but just what makes their trio so entertaining and
fitting?

More Exposer for the Revival
There really is no denying that the Revival is one of the
best tag teams in the world today, however, despite a reign as tag-team
champions the main roster audience haven’t been able to see a fraction of just how
good they are and their exposer has been incredibly weak since joining the main
roster. Aligning with Orton has and will continue to allow them to have a level
of exposer and attention, they probably would receive alone at this stage of
their careers. The alliance puts the Revival in a position to show a new side of
themselves and showcase just how barbaric, dangerous and intense they can be.
Standing alongside Orton, Dash and Wilder receive more TV time, exposer and
better all-round use.
Orton’s History with Factions
While its unclear as to what the plans are moving forward
for the alliance of Randy Orton and the Revival what is clear is Orton’s brilliant
history working with factions. From Evolution to Legacy Orton works amazingly
well as part of a faction and we are once again seeing that here with his
alliance with former tag team champions, the Revival. Its here we arguably see
the very best of Orton and his character with emphasis on his power, dominance,
experience, sadistic nature, intensity and manipulation.
Adds to the Randy Orton/ Kofi Kingston Rivalry
The rivalry between Randy Orton and Kofi Kinston does in
fact happen to be one of my personal current favourite storylines in the WWE
right now. The backstory, the history, the chemistry and the feeling of reality
makes this such an entertaining rivalry going down well so far with fans. The
addition of an alliance between Orton and the Revival creates so much more to
the story itself. We see the numbers made even with Kofi always having the rest
of the New Day by his side, Orton now also has two names standing beside him keen
to target Woods and Big E and add a more barbaric and intense feel to the
growing rivalry. We see more layers, more questions and more possibilities arise
here thanks to Dash and Dawson’s involvement.
The Future of the Revival
As we have already touched on today, the alliance between
Orton and the Revival sure does give Dash and Dawson more time and exposer on
WWE TV, however, what this alliance also does is set up a very strong possible
future for the former champions. From another run, as tag team champs to a better
understanding of them fans are sure to finally see more from the former NXT
stars and understand their motives, style and talent on a greater level. While
of course, there are every chance things could go the other way and the alliance
could negatively affect the pair, however, with the two possessing so much
talent and this being such a great door of opportunity this alliance could work
out very well for the Revival and their future.
Something Fresh for Orton
For a while now, Orton has been missing that…something. The
work we saw between him and Jeff Hardy last year was massively refreshing with
the WWE tapping into that extremely dark and sadistic side to the former champion
however, once the ball was dropped there Orton was back to square one and while
nothing can take away the position he has on the roster due to his veteran
status he has been missing something. Aligning the Viper with the Revival is another
refreshing angle giving Randy something completely different to what we have
seen from him in a while!
As we touched on earlier, its unclear as to what the future
holds for these three superstars as a trio and just how far the WWE plan on
taking them however its clear there is so much potential here creatively and
for the future with everyone involved benefiting so well!
