5 Superstars likely To Get Main Roster Call up during Brand Split

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well and good! One of the biggest talking point in the world of professional wrestling is of course the newly announced two thousand and sixteen brand split following the equally as big announcement that Smackdown will air live every Tuesday night starting July nineteenth. Over the past week fans around the world have not stopped talking about the brand extension and with the WWE surprisingly not revealing all that much it as left the WWE Universe predicting very different ideas and everyone I have spoken to has very openly said just how excited they are. Now, the brand split does promise a new and unique roster and so everyone is expecting to see NXT Superstars receive their call up and that is what I will be focusing on today! We are going to be taking a look at five superstars likely to make the jump from NXT Developmental to the main roster during the brand split. Of course there are plenty of names that could feature in this list but I thought it would be best to narrow it down to five so let me know if you would like to see a part two. Over the next couple of weeks or so you will be seeing a thew more posts like this all revolving around the brand split including a list of five superstars that I believe will benefit the most from the changes. If there are any specific posts you would like to see than let me know down in the comments section bellow! As always any recent blog posts will be linked at the very end including this weeks RAW Review and Reactions. Finally, you can let me know what you think of the brand split and who you think will get their call up during the brand extension by leaving a comment bellow  or by tweeting me at @TezangiVictoria.

Tye Dillinger
There are plenty of big names superstars currently active on the NXT roster. The likes of Finn Balor, Samoa Joe, and Shinsuke Nakamura all spring to mind when talking about talent fans would like to see debut on the main roster during the brand split. There is not a single wrestling fan in the world that would not absolutely love to see either of these guys arrive on the scene in July. While the chances still stand strong and the WWE could easily surprise us we are much more likely to see another personal favourite of mine make his impact on the main roster. Tye Dillinger. If you are a long time follower of mine and have been reading my blog for long enough you will know all too well that I have been a Tye Dillinger fan from day one. Over the past couple of years I have written several blog posts talking about how talented and underutilised /underrated Dillinger is, some of witch I will link bellow at the end of the post. For many years Dillinger has been sitting back waiting for his moment, working his ass off and he is one of the most likely NXT talents to get their main roster call up in a months time. He's a very talented, experienced superstar who could and would bring a great deal to whatever roster he is drafted to. We all know Tye has been apart of NXT for a thew times becoming an original and over the years that he has been apart of the NXT roster we have seen him put over many new talents to arrive on the scene such as Baron Corbin, Shinsuke Nakamura, Austin Aries, and a retuning Sami Zayn at the end of last year. Looking at how quickly the NXT roster is growing a superstar like Dillinger is more than ready for his debut with very little storyline's and opportunities there isn't a reason to keep him in NXT when a bigger opportunity is waiting for him. I do think that out of every NXT superstar it's Tye Dillinger who will make the jump from developmental to most probably Smackdown where he really could bring something new and exciting.

Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson
Tag team wrestling in the WWE has undergone a serious push over the past year. Once again, thanks to NXT the world has found their love tag team wrestling with the developmental territory presenting fantastic competition in the division. Going back to basics we have seen tag teams wearing match ring gear, provided enough time to put on brilliant matches worthy of being added to match of the year conversations, and finally been given gripping and entertaining storyline's that have given fans plenty to look forward to, talk about and enjoy when it comes to tag team wrestling. When thinking about the two thousand and sixteen brand split we ave to start thinking about the tag team division. Now, over the past six months the WWE really have upped their game with the main roster tag team division and the truth is is that the division is looking stronger than it has done in years. The brand split allows it to grow even more and only improve even more also. Over the past month we have seen new teams arrive in NXT and the chances now of some of those older teams making the jump up to the main roster during the brand split/draft as increased massively. One of the teams most likely to recite their call up is former NXT Tag team champions, Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson. Again, I have written about these two superstars many a times before and long time readers/followers will know that I have never really been a big fan of these guys up until the past couple of months. They defintley are a Marmite team and I do believe that younger fans won't get them as much as older fans. They have really come far since they debuted. They have delivered fantastic matches over the past year and over time their talent and character development has been enough for me personally to grow to become a huge fan. I do believe these guys will be added to either the new Smackdown or RAW rosters. They have done plenty while working down in NXT and I one hundred and ten percent believe Dash and Dawson will be up on the main roster come the brand split next month.

Alexa Bliss
Just like the tag team division the women's division has undergone a serious push. After years of being nothing but a bathroom break the women of the WWE have now (yet again thanks to NXT) found themselves coming across as legitimate must see superstars that fans want to watch compete every week and even main event weekly shows and live events. Over the past two years NXT has spent a great deal of time working on building up the women's division and the progress has been massive! The division is stronger than ever. We have seen the girls go from divas to women, longer matches, bigger storyline's, more TV time and even main event a WWE Live Special. The division only grows stronger by the day with NXT brining in even more female talent from around making their roster even bigger. Now, when the brand split happens next month we can expect to see a couple of our NXT women make their way up to the main roster and one of those names is without a doubt the brilliant Alexa Bliss. Personally, I freaking love Alexa. I always have done and I always will do. In fact a get to know post on her was one of the first blog post I ever wrote here on this blog. Since debuting a couple of years back Alexa has come so so far both in the ring and as a character. Since turning heel she has only gotten stronger and stronger growing in popularity and improving every time she appears on TV. Who knew such an innocent sweet looking face could pull off evil so well. Now, for a long time I have defintley wanted to see Alexa presented wit the NXT Women's championship. She's popularity, she has a strong character, solid on the mic, and ever improving in the ring and so there really has never been any doubting her ability to be a great champion. But with the competition so high in the division she really has struggled to get into the championship picture and walk away as champion. Of course I would still love to see Bliss with the title but the chances are looking very slim at the moment. Yes, there is still plenty of time for her to do so but saying that I believe it is much more likely to see little Alexa make her mark on the main roster when July roles around.

Finn Balor
The one superstar everyone is hopeing to see debut next month during the brand split is of course the longest reigning NXT Champion of all time, Finn Balor. I know I am not alone in saying that I have literally been waiting months and months for Balor to debut. There have been plenty of times over the past six months or so where there have been perfect opportunities for him to debut with brilliant storyline options. Seeing all these amazing opportunities pass by has seriously left me so frustrated it's stupid. It has however left me very very interested and curious to see how they will write im into a story and what the WWE have planned for him when he does eventually debut. There is of course still so much that they can do with him when he does arrive on the main roster and I honestly cannot wait to see what we are given. The WWE have made us wait a very long time for the main roster debut of Finn Balor and the anticipation is only growing by the second! He is looking at becoming one of the most anticipated debuts of all time. Now, hopefully with the brand split just around the corner we won't have to wait much longer. Everyone I have spoken to has been confident that the former NXT Champion will be debuting for either RAW or Smackdown when the brand split is active and I have to completely agree. It would be a serious disappointment if he didn't. At this point there is literally no reason not to call him up. Next week he will most likely compete in his final NXT match up when he takes on Samoa Joe for the NXT Championship one last time and the next time we are likely to see him will be next month when the brand split is active. But would you guys like to see him go to RAW or Smackdown? Let me know down in the comments bellow!

Nia Jax
Next week at NXT Takeover the End Nia Jax will go one on one against Asuka for the NXT Women's Championship and this is very likely to be her final match in NXT. You guys most probably will know that I am a huge huge fan of Nia Jax and I have been right from the very beginning. There
have been plenty of times where I have defended her work and talked very highly of her noting that for her size and experience she continues to improve massively and has proven to be able to work solid and entertaining matches. While a part of me would love to see her walk out of Takeover the NXT Women's Champion, I know all to well that she certainly will not. Her push over the past couple of months has been much deserved and it as been brilliant to see but there is next to no chance she will be walking out of Takeover as champion. Now, I know that she hasn't been on the roster competing for very long but once Takeover is done and dusted the storyline's and opportunities for her will be looking rather slim and there will be much more waiting for her on the main roster. I know most of us are expecting to see Eva Maria also called up as a full time member of the main roster and she is very likely to use her alliance with Nia Jax on the roster too. The brand split is likely to do plenty of good for the women's division allowing more chances of better storyline's and feuds to take place and Nia Jax and Eva Marie's work will play a huge part whether we like it or now.

So that is my list of five NXT Superstars like to get their main roster call up during the brand split/draft next month. I do believe that more names will be drafted alongside these five including the likes of Carmella, Hideo Itami and Blake and Murpthy. This is the first post in a three part mini series talking about this new brand extension. Over the next two weeks part two and three will be uploaded here on my blog so keep an eye out for that. As always you can let me know what you thought of today's blog post and who you think will be making their way up to the main roster by leaving a comment bellow or by tweeting me at @TezangiVictoria.
