WWE Money In The Bank Predictions: Roman Reigns VS Seth Rollins

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well and good! So we are mid way through the year and this weekend one of the most important pay per views in the wrestling calender takes place. Money in the bank will air live from the T-Mobile arena in in Las Vegas on the WWE network. The main event will see current champion Roman Reigns defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against his former brother and long time rival, Seth Rollins. The card will also see the tag team championships defended and the two thousand and sixteen Money in the Bank winner will be crowned. All this week I will be uploading prediction posts for every single match set to take place this up and coming Sunday. Each day we will be taking a look into a different match that has been made official. Review and analysing the action we have seen so far between the opponents and discussing the story and feud in detail all to eventually create our final bold predictions ahead of the pay per view on Sunday. Talking of Sunday, throughout the show I will be live tweeting including the kick off show right through to the very end. The following Morning I will upload my full review and reactions for the show along with predictions for the following episode of Monday night RAW. Now, a quick disclaimer; I know that the brand split/extension will be happening next month but throughout these prediction posts this week I won't be talking in full detail about the role those plans will have on the Money in the bank pay per view. Instead I will link bellow any blog posts I have already written that are related to the bran split announcement. As always, any recent blog posts will be linked bellow including the latest RAW review and reactions posts. Finally, you can let me know what your predictions are for every match on the card including the Money in the bank ladder match by leaving a comment bellow or by tweeting me at @TezangiVictoria.

This weekend live on the WWE network former friends turnt bitter enemies will do battle when they square off for the most prestigious prize in professional wrestling; the WWE world Heavyweight Championship. Their roller-coaster rivalry has all been for this moment. Who walks out of the Money in The Bank pay per view with gold around their waste? The man or the guy?

This huge match was announced and made official live on Monday night RAW less than twenty four hours after the architect Seth Rollins made his huge return to the WWE at the Extreme Rules pay per view last month. The former World Champion and Money in the bank winner had been forced to the sidelines after suffering a serious knee injury taking him out of action for over six months.  Rollins wasted no time upon his return charging straight down to the ring to pedigree the big dog out of nowhere sending a huge message to both the champ and the WWE Universe. Seth Rollins was back and he was coming after what was his. The following night on RAW Rollins spoke of his injury and his recovery witch we later found out was very well documented for an episode of WWE twenty four available on the WWE Network. Surprisingly he also delivered a strong heel promo where he announced that he felt as though he didn't need the fans support now after feeling as though they never had his back in the first place prior to his injury. Moments later Shane McMahon would announce live on RAW with both men in the ring at the same time that the pair would do battle at the Money in the Bank pay per view for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

It was back at the Extreme Rules pay per view last month that the entire Wrestling community was left marking out like crazy when Seth Rollins made his much much anticipated return to the WWE. Seven months out of action due to a knee injury left Rollins waiting on the sidelines to get back a championship he never lost and left us as the fans waiting for our true champion to return. The reaction he picked up on the night both in the arena and online was sure one to remember. Despite the rumours throughout the day everyone was left in shock and joy as one of the hottest superstars was back on our TV screen. Now, amongst all the excitement there was a couple of disappointments, one of witch being the fact that the WWE had not turnt Rollins full on baby face. If you had spoken to any wrestling fan prior to Rollins return they would have confidently said that they believed Rollins would be returning as a baby face. It made perfect sense and it's what we all expected. I can see why they decided not to turn him right now but I do believe that they have made the wrong decision. Sure within a thew months they will certainly turn him baby face, I'm confident the WWE and stupid enough to him heel for a long period of time. They have also made us wait quite a while to see the actual in ring return of Rollins and so this match on Sunday is sure going to be very very special and a sure must see.

Roman Reigns and his WWE World Heavyweight Championship reign has so far been an interesting one. While he remains a superstar I'm not the biggest fan of and one who clearly is still in great need in all round improvement and development he continues to grow and over the past couple of months he has delivered a handful of fantastic matches that will without a doubt feature in conversations towards the end of the year when it comes to the best matches of twenty sixteen. His rivalry with AJ Styles was without question one of if not his greatest feud so far in his singles career. Working with a superstar so well experienced and travelled such as Styles brought out a lot in Reigns and his in ring capabilities. He was forced to step it up and deliver to a standard we had not yet seen him perform to. Hopefully this Sunday when he takes on Seth Rollins he will be able to put everything he has learnt over the past couple of months into action and work towards delivering another fantastic match up. This time against a man he knows all too well.

Reigns and Rollins do have such a brilliant history. Starting out together in the Shield these are two men that worked together as brothers for over two solid years where they dominated the roster in what was one of the greatest factions of the past ten years. Their story has been told by the WWE since their arrival on the main roster and throughout their time together in the Shield the company have done nothing but prepare us for what was bound to be a war between the big dog and the underdog. These are two very very different superstars. On the one hand we have Roman Reigns; a powerhouse, strong and dominate yet still green and learning. On the other hand we have Seth Rollins: the experienced hybrid who once you put in the ring is capable of delivering a high quality match regardless of the opponent using his speed, agility, experience and flying move set to his advantage. Polar opposites who have proven to be fantastic partners and even better rivals. Like have already touched, this a story years in the making. Throughout his time in the Shield Rollins always felt as though he was the peacemaker. While Ambrose and Reigns had their problems Rollins took it upon himself on multiple occasions to take action in making his team stronger than ever and he didn't care about just how he had to go about in doing so. That included walking out on his partners mid way through an intense and physical six man tag team match against the Wyatt family. He became the architect, the safe choice and the glue to what was truly a brilliant faction and the team had a great run. That was right up until Rollins throughout it was time to cash in a bigger opportunity and on an episode of RAW the man himself out of nowhere attacked both Ambrose and Reigns leaving the WWE universe in utter shock and the fandom in tears. No seriously, I'm still mentally recovering from the Shield break up two years on. From that moment onward Rollins has done nothing but it perfectly clear that he feels as though he was the true leader of the Shield making valid points during promos and segments. He also spoke of feeling as though the faction has been holding him back and from there we got to see the start of an inevitable feud between him and Roman Reigns.

Since Rollins' return to action the WWE have done a good job telling the story between these two. Reminding everyone of their history and why this is such a  must see feud and match. These are the two men that will lead the future of the WWE and throughout their careers they have been made to know that. This feud will be the real testing point in seeing who has what it takes to really be the top dog and the main attraction of this new generation, this new era. Now, I have made it perfectly clear that I feel as though the WWE could have done a much better job over the past thew weeks pushing this feud to the next level. Personally, I feel as though they have been holding back just a little bit and one big push would have been just what we needed to make this match this feud and this story that much more interesting and entertaining. Saying that, this is a story that writes itself. It was an inevitable match and something we all saw coming. I have mentioned already today that I feel as though the WWE were completely stupid for not turning Rollins baby face upon his return but it does not change the fact that he is walking into Money in the bank the fan favourite. If you were to ask one hundred WWE fans who they want to see walk out of this pay per view the WWE World Heavyweight Champion I'm confident that ninety nine of those people will say Rollins. We have all missed seeing him in action and we have all certainly missed him as champion. Now, I have been watching WWE long enough to know that despite how brilliant he is and despite how much we all love him the chances of Rollins walking out with his rightful championship are very slim. I doubt very very much that the WWE will have Reigns drop his championship to Rollins this weekend. What I am hopeing for however is that we don't have to sit back and watch Rollins loose clean to Reigns to one spear like we did with Styles last month. If you give these two enough time they could seriously deliver a fantastic main event but if you're going to have Rollins loose and you want to put Reigns over than you're going to have to do it in a clever and entertaining way. A basic ending to this
match will most certainly not be enough.

Now, before we wrap things up in today's blog post we have one more thing to touch on and that is the actual Money in the Bank ladder match. We have six brilliantly talented superstars competing for the chance to becoming two thousand and sixteen Mr Money in the Bank. One of those men is of course Dean Ambrose. The third ex member of the shield. Lets be honest, there is not one single wrestling fan in the world that does not want to see that Shield triple threat. The WWE have been leaving us waiting for a very very long time and tonight we could edge very very close to that dream match. If Ambrose is able to win the Money in the bank contract who is stopping him from shocking the world and cashing that in later in the night. It would insure that a championship rematch for between him and Reigns is secure for the next pay per view and a bitter Rollins could easily make this a triple threat main event for the Summer Slam pay per view. I have spoken about this match in full detail and in a blog post listing five potential SummerSlam main event and so I will link that bellow so you can check that out and read the full thing.

So that is my first Money in the bank prediction post done! I had a lot of fun writing this so I hope you guys enjoyed reading it.
