Last Week in Wrestling

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well and good and have had an awesome weekend! Now, I know, I have some explaining to do. The past month I've actually been doing really well. I've been keeping up with shows fairly well and posts  have been going up regularly here on my blog however, last week things just went down  hill. I uploaded on Monday and Tuesday but in the middle of the week I just really struggled. I mentioned on twitter and over on Instagram that I had come down with another flu and was spending time in bed resting. It got to Wednesday and honestly I was so unwell there was no way I was able to do a thing. I had no energy, zero motivation and all I wanted to do was lay in bed and rest. Later on in  the week my mum had her last surgery and my granddad was pretty unwell so I went to stay at my grandparents and there was just no time to write. I am however back now and ready start a new week which hopefully is better and far more productive. I thought it was best to come back with a last week in wrestling post. This is of course where I take a look back at some of the biggest wrestling topics right now from rumors, updates, standout matches, superstars and shows and give my personal opinions on everything we touch on. I am going to be having a little look at some of standout moments from last weeks episodes of Monday night RAW and Smackdown LIVE also; While I didn't live tweet throughout either show I did catch up later on in the week and clued up when it comes to everything that went down. I am going to be keeping on track this week live tweeting again  and keeping uploads every single day of the week, I'm also planning on uploading a post on a Saturday and Sunday later on in the month. As always, any recent blog post will be linked bellow including my WWE Hell in a Cell Review. Finally, you can let me know what you thought of today's blog post and last week in wrestling by leaving a comment bellow or by tweeting me over at @TezangiVictoria.

WWE News and Headlines

Last week on RAW and Smackdown LIVE

As  mentioned in the intro, because I was so unwell last week I didn't have it in me to stay awake from one AM to four AM watching Monday night RAW. I did however, catch up the following day to make sure I didn't fall behind and to be honest it took one look on social media Tuesday morning and I knew I had to check out the show as soon as possible. Now, I've realised something; whenever I miss an episode of Monday night RAW it appears to be one of the best or strongest shows of the year and this was one hundred percent the case yet again. With the Miz once again opening the show (something I most certainly am not complaining about) fans finally got what they wanted... the Shield reunion. Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns were yet again a united force and proving why they are one of the best factions in WWE history. The moment they all stood on the stage together had the arena on fire. Everyone was up on their feet vocal and totally buzzing and I sitting from my sick bed was trying to contain my excitement. Having each member come out singularly, the intense showdown, the Miz adding fuel to the fire in those moments with Roman Reigns before the reunion , it all felt huge and was a total success. This is something I and all the other little Shield marks have been waiting for for ages and it felt so good watching! Now, I have since read pretty mixed reviews on the whole thing. The majority loved it! It was an epic moment that I'm sure we will all be talking about in years to come however, there are those that have their doubts and while I understand them I personally want to have some fun being a little mark and enjoying the whole thing. It was also announced during the show that at the TLC pay per view the Shield will challenge the team of Cesaro, Sheamus, The Miz and Braun Strowman in a three on four handicap TLC match.... It's a bold statement to make but I believe this could just be one of the best matches of twenty seventeen.
Emma also won a pretty messy elimination fatal five way against Sasha Banks, Alicia Fox, Bayley , and Dana Brooke to determine who will face Asuka at TLC. It's been reported that Emma was always the pick, she and Asuka have a great history putting on a solid match up a couple of years back at NXT Takeover London. WWE are supposed to believe that a program between the former NXT women's champion and Banks and Bayley is something to save and invest more time into with Asuka's TLC debut match set to be a night she shows her dominance and begins to gain momentum.

Over on Smackdown LIVE Baron Corbin defeated AJ Styles clean to retain his United States championship. With Styles now moving on from this title could this mean the phenomenal one will slowly be making his way back to the WWE Championship picture? Does this mean we edge closer to Styles VS Nakamura? Fingers crossed! Gable and Shelton Benjamin have also been crowned the new number one contenders to the Smackdown LIVE tag team championships. And finally, one of the moment that me most excited came from a little teaser as the WWE began promoting Erick Rowan and Luke Harper's new characters as the pair look to climb their way back up the tag team ladder. These two really are an incredible duo. They work so amazingly well together and I'm glad the WWE have put them back together as a team and hopefully they have a nice big push waiting for them. With the Usos as the current champs this really does get me excited, we've seen the two teams work some epic matches in the past and I'd love more than anything to see them clash in the near future yet again.

Unhappy Superstars and Neville's exit

An interview recently surfaced with Alicia Fox discussing her role in the WWE and how unhappy she has been with not only her booking but the fact she hasn't been given her own t-shirt mentioning that when she was apart of Team Bella in the divas revolution she still wasn't given a shirt and the merch was handed to the Bellas. This week however  the WWE finally released an Alicia Fox shirt. Okay, so it may be a terrible design but... well Foxy finally has her own merch and even though i personally hate it I hope the WWE begin to use Alicia a little more and find a stronger role for the former champion.
We also have to of course touch on the biggest talking point of the week and something that has the wrestling community going crazy, the Neville drama. So there have been several different rumors and reports regarding Neville and he's WWE status so lets run through the story. There were first rumors that Neville had walked out of RAW and quit after learning he would be losing a non title match Enzo Amore however there have since been other reports suggesting Neville was never even at RAW in the first place. While Neville has had a strong dominant year working as the leading face in the Cruiserweight divison the former champion has expressed just how unhappy he is with the company on social media and right now as I write this it looks as though Neville has quite the WWE. The news really did come as a surprise. I didn't see this coming at all and you can totally see similarities between this exit and Punks a few years back. Now, I do believe that Neville will have a phenomenal career outside of the WWE with the likes of the Bullet Club and the UK's Will Ospreay all expressing their interest in working with him since the news broke. Regardless of what promotion Neville finds himself in I'm confident that he has an amazing career ahead of him sure to join the likes of Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre and Alberto Del Rio who all proved their is life after the WWE for sure!

 Survivor Series Rumors

As far as Survivor Series is concerned there have been a lot of rumors to surface recently, with Cena looking to be off the show things are getting interesting and the latest little rumor to surface involves a clash of two champions. Looking on instagram over the weekend there was one thing I could not stop seeing, Jinder Mahal VS Brock Lesnar. Apparently, the champions are set to face off at the pay per view next month in a clash of champions. Of course, the titles will not be on the line but it will for sure keep the feeling of RAW vs Smackdown LIVE running throughout the night. Personally, I have mixed opinions on this. I don't believe I'd enjoy the actual match at all but I understand why it would be booked. I'll be paying attention to this story more over the  next few weeks and see where it goes.

Other News

There have also been reports that the WWE could be interested in signing former TNA star Madison Rayne. I'd love to see the former Knockouts champion make her way to the WWE with the divison looking the way it is looking right now. She'd be an excellent addition to either the RAW or Smackdown LIVE roster and there is plenty I would love to see her involved in. There has also been more drama coming from Jim Cornette and the penultimate episode of WCPW Loaded also aired this past Friday night. A must see show that saw Marty Scrull defend the WCWP championship and address the fans as well as the first women's match on the show in what seems like forever and a tag team must see that will drive you all insane! I am going to be writing more on WCPW soon to be Defiant Wrestling so keep an eye out for those posts coming soon! Carmella is also rumored to be cashing in her money in the bank briefcase very soon.

And that is it in Last week in Wrestling. I know, the post this week was dominated by the WWE but there really was plenty of WWE news to cover this week. I am going to be keeping on track this week live tweeting again  and keeping uploads every single day of the week, I'm also planning on uploading a post on a Saturday and Sunday later on in the month.
