Five Best WWE Superstars Under 30

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well and good and have had an awesome week, boy has it been another long one for me! So this week it's been pretty crazy in the world of pro wrestling! We had the hell in a Cell pay per view this past Sunday, an interesting episode of both RAW and Smackdown LIVE, more from Ultimate Lucha Tres and plenty of news and updates all around the crazy crazy world of professional wrestling. In Monday's post I will be taking a look back at some of those moments but for today, I thought it would be best to close the week with a little top five. I recently watched a Whatculture video that listed ten of the best wrestlers today under thirty and inspired me to write something pretty similar and kick start a new series here. Over the next month I'm going to be doing several different versions of this post and today we kick start things off by taking a look at five of the best wrestlers in the WWE today under thirty. I am planning on doing a women's special, a UK special and an indie special so keep an eye out for those set to come your way in a couple of weeks time! I am really looking forward to writing this post. I've wanted to get it done for a while now and it's something I'm super exciting about getting out there for you guys. I want to start writing more new, interesting list idea posts so if you have any particular article you would like to read do let me know! I am planning on writing more content surrounding Lucha Underground and the British Scene considering that I haven't done that much recently at all  as well as posts focusing on the independent seen and New Japan so again if you have any ideas do let me know! As always, any recent blog post will be linked bellow including my Hell in a Cell review from Monday and finally, you can let me know what you thought of all of this weeks posts and who you believe is the best WWE Superstar under thirty by leaving a comment bellow or by tweeting me over at @TezangiVictoria.

Pete Dunne

We kick start today's blog post off with the first of two stars from the WWE United Kingdom tournament set to feature in the post, current champion, Pete Dunne. When I was taking my notes for this blog post Dunne was one of the very first names I listed. I had spent some time checking out of some of Dunne's older work as well as paying extra close attention to what we have already seen from him and I knew I just had to include him. When you think about some of the most promising, talented up and comers Dunne is one of the very first names that spring to mind. At only twenty three years old he's one of the youngest stars to feature in today's blog post but also one of the most promising. In his earlier career Dunne has worked for some of the best wrestling promotions around the world including making an impact across the British Wrestling competing for companies including ICW, WCPW, and of course Progress. In January Dunne made his first WWE Network appearance taking part in the WWE United Kingdom Tournament where he walked out not with the title but the man the made the biggest impact. The whole world was talking about the young star after his compelling character work and phenomenal in ring performances. Since then he's competed in several match of the year candidates including two singles matches against Tyler Bate, he was crowned the second WWE United Kingdom champion at an NXT takeover event and has successfully defended his title against several superstars in the divison. He's made a handful of appearance for NXT TV and continues to show the world why he is one of the brightest stars of the future of pro wrestling. It's crazy to think just how much Dunne has done and achieved already and at only twenty three years old, Dunne has a huge huge career ahead of him as he looks to takeover the WWE.

Paige

Up next is a women I'm sure you were all expecting to see feature in this post today and while she may not currently be working for WWE TV she still had to be included. Paige is without shadow of a doubt one of the brightest stars in the WWE right now. If we try our best to ignore the past year or so Paige has a very strong track record. Arriving in the WWE still a teenager, Paige was breaking and making records from the moment she stepped foot in the company. Within the space of three years Paige had competed in some of the best matches the women's divison had seen years, become the first ever NXT Women's champion, the youngest ever Divas Champion and competed in her first Wrestlemania less than a year after debuting on the main roster. She was one of the leading faces in the women's evolution changing the way women's wrestling is seen and while she may have had a bad year recently Paige looks to be making her WWE comeback looking stronger and better than ever. Now, I do have a couple of blog post coming up on Paige in the lead up to her return but this was one I just had to include her in. At twenty five years old Paige has a long future ahead of her if she can bounce back fine once she makes that return. I know there are some who have their doubts and its going to be interesting to see how the WWE use her and book her upon her return but honestly, Paige is such a talent, she's already achieved  so much in her wrestling career and if we can just put the past twelve months behind us I really do believe Paige is going to bounce back just fine and really find her way back to the top. She remains extremely popular, a huge talking point and regardless of what is happening in her personal life nothing can take away from the fact that at twenty five years old Paige is one of the best all round stars in the women's divison right now. She has a striking unique look that separates her from the rest, her mic work is decent, she has an entertaining character with plenty of room for more development and improvement and her in ring skills are phenomenal, put her in the right match and the right feud and Paige is stealing she show.

Cedric Alexander

While the Cruiserweight divison hasn't been used to its fullest potential over the past twelve months or so there is no denying the simple fact that the divison itself is full of fantastic talent. Talent of all ages and experiences full of different characters and popularity and while they haven't been used properly by the WWE it's clear they all have potential and if used correctly they could be doing some pretty damn awesome things. The Cruiserweight classic took place a little over a year ago and honestly, I loved it. The event was jam packed full of epic must sees where all competitors were shown perfectly and week after week us fans were treated to phenomenal matches that put the divison on notice. One of the biggest standouts of the tournament was twenty eight year old Cedric Alexander. Fans went crazy for him after his outstanding performance throughout the tournament to the point where "Please sign Cedric" chants echoed through Full Sail moments after he was eliminated. Thankfully, the WWE did sign Cedric but not much has happened since. Hes had a couple of impressive spots and hardcore fans remain firmly behind but an injury did set him back this time last year and the WWE have been far too focused building Enzo Amore to pay attention to one of the best wrestlers they not only have in the divison but in their company. Now, I am hoping that things turn around for Cedric, this is a man that deserves to be champion and I do believe it will happen eventually but what we need to see now is the WWE focus on building him up. Give him some momentum, give him something that gives him an edge. His push is something we all want to see and he really does deserve. Cedric is a phenomenal in ring ring performer and the fact he's not even hit thirty yet... amazing! Another superstar with a very very bright future ahead of him as long as the WWE can get it right. After all, can you imagine him one day facing the likes of Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, and Seth Rollins outside the divison? Wrestling magic.

Sasha Banks

Looking at my notes I realised I could have made this a women's only special post. The women's divison today is full of amazing young talent who all assure that the future of the women's divison is very very bright. One of the leading faces in the division and in the women's evolution is the Boss, Sasha Banks. For the past four years or so Banks has been changing the women's divison one step at time and she has worked her way up to be named one of the best wrestlers in the WWE today putting gender aside completely. When you look back at all the things she has done and the fact she is only twenty five years old it's pretty damn scary to say the least. When she first started her career down in NXT Banks was the cute baby-face with potential but lack of direction but her heel turn turned things around completely as she went from the smiley baby face to the boss in an instant. Throughout the years to follow Banks would show massive improvements in every aspect and became a key figure in the NXT women's divison. Her work alongside Charlotte and Summer Rae gave her the edge she needed and the perfect way for her to build her character and show the world what she is capable of. During her time in NXT banks worked epic matches with the best of the best including Charlotte, Paige, Becky Lynch and of course Bayley. Her NXT Takeover Brooklyn championship match against Bayley remains iconic in women's wrestling and one of my personal favourite matches of all time. She also made history twice competing in the first ever women's Iron man match and was the first women alongside Bayley to main event a WWE live special. Once up on the main roster Banks continued to make an impact and is now a four time champion, has main evented a WWE pay per view as well as several episodes of Monday night RAW, has put on an array of must see standout matches and competed inside hell in a cell. All of that and the Boss is only twenty five damn years old. If she is capable of doing all that in such a short space of time just imagine the list of accomplishments the Boss will have in ten years time where there she will only be thirty five!

Tyler Bate

And finally, we have the first ever WWE United Kingdom Champion, Tyler Bate. Honestly, it breaks me knowing me and Bate are practically the same age and he's basically slaying life and I'm... well talking about him slaying life. At only twenty years old, Bate is the youngest to feature in this list and it's scary to think just how damn good he is already. This guy is constant reminder we're all failing at this life thing and it's a bloody hard bitter pill to swallow. Bate has been on the scene for a few years
now and over the past twelve months has gone from strength to strength. Just like Pete Dunne, Bate has made a huge name for himself on the British Wrestling scene working as part of British Strong Style along with Dunne and Trent Seven he's also worked and continues to work as part one of the best tag teams of today alongside Seven proving he really does have it all. In January he sent shock waves through the wrestling world when he became the first ever WWE United Kingdom champion. His performance over the course of those two days was phenomenal. He made sure everyone knew his name working some of the best matches of the tournament and his final match up against Dunne was highlighted as one of the best of the year. When the two met again later on in the year they once again gave us another match of the year candidate that many believe deserves a five star rating. Since dropping the title Bate has continued to make an impact. He's a face that is forever popping up and the WWE continue to show us they really are very very high on him. He's an all round star who has plenty more to show when it comes to his character but his striking look and epic in ring skills make him one of the best of the best and at only twenty years old you just have to be super excited for what the future holds. He works the lovable baby face and a perfect heel and I cannot wait to see him do so much more in the future!

And thats my list! As I mentioned in the intro I'm planning on doing a couple more parts to this blog post because honestly there are so many names I just need to talk about! For now however, you can check out any recent blog posts that will be linked bellow and of course you can tell me what you thought of today's blog post and who you would have included by leaving a comment bellow or by tweeting me over at @TezangiVictoria.
