5 Scariest WWE Superstars

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well and good and have had an awesome week so far! So, we have reached the end of the week and as Halloween approaches I thought I would write more content surrounding my favourite time of the year. Earlier on in the weak I uploaded my first Halloween based post as I listed five WWE superstars giving us costume inspiration for Halloween and as I mentioned in that post I had so much fun writing and taking notes for it and wanted to make sure to upload a couple more articles focusing on this special holiday. With that in mind today I have another Halloween special post for you and this time we are going to be taking a look at some of the scariest WWE Superstars of all time. Now, I was going to make this a top ten list but I didn't have as much time to write as I thought I did and in all honesty I just felt as though people wouldn't be as interested in a top ten and so I decided to keep things a little smaller. If however, you would be interested in a part two then do let me know and I will get the up for you before Halloween. I am planning on uploading at least one more Halloween based article before next week so make sure you keep an eye out for that! For now, any recent blog posts will be linked bellow including my WWE TLC twenty seventeen review from earlier on in the week. In the coming few days I am going to start taking notes for my of the year posts and if you have any ideas as to what you would like to see uploaded here on my blog next month throughout November do let me know! Finally, you can also tell me what you thought of today's post and who you believe to be the most scary WWE superstar of all time by leaving a comment bellow or by tweeting me over at @TezangiVictoria.

The WWE is full of amazing unique characters withe every superstar looking to bring something new, different and exciting to the table. Throughout the years many have stood out with the likes of Hulk Hogan, the Undertaker, and the Ultimate Warrior being all time favorites with modern day talent such as Finn Balor, Bray Wyatt and John Cena making that list also. Growing up I found myself totally creeped out by a number of superstars and today I thought we should take a look at some of those names. So here is a new fresh list of WWE superstars past and present who really did give us a little fright! Happy Halloween!

The Boogeyman

We kick start today's blog post off with a name I'm  sure you were all expecting  to see feature, the one and only, the Boogeyman. If you read my previous Halloween post you would have seen that the Boogeyman was previously listed as one of my top Halloween inspirations and you can check out why by clicking the link bellow at the end of today's post. It was when I was writing that post that I got the idea for this and the Boogeyman was one of the main inspirations behind this very article. Me and my brother where both born in the late nineties and early two thousands and so we grew up watching guys like the Boogeyman. He was the man we were all scared of as kids and honestly, when I go back and watch some of his previous work I can't help but get a shiver down my spine. Watching this guy as a kid I was totally freaked out! From the creepy face pain to the heart that hanged around his neck to of course the worms that would be coming out of this mouth, the Boogeyman was one of the scariest things on TV for me and my brother growing up. However, he entertained us. Even now -when I re-watch, there isn't many matches that standout for me but the Boogeyman as a character was a big deal and big part of my childhood growing up watching wrestling. If you were kid and watching him you were massivley freaked out and as an adult he still sends a shiver down my spine as I mentioned just seconds ago. During his most recent WWE appearance the same feeling I got when I watched as a kid. My heart skipped a little and I was totally spooked. The boogeyman was one of the biggest stars to have the biggest impact on me growing up and will forever go down as one of the most scary WWE superstars of all time.

The Undertaker

Up next we have a pretty predictable name but one that of course had to be included; the The Undertaker is arguably the most intimidating, scary yet icon iconic figures in sports entertainment history. Even those who are not wrestling fans are aware of him and he has over the years inspired many to dress up as him for Halloween and parties as he continues to be listed as one of the best of the best. There are many names that come in and out of the WWE, some make a huge impact and some don't but the Undertaker is on a completely different league. Throughout the years he has been apart of some of the best segments, matches, and storyline's and will forever be known as not only one of the best wrestlers/superstars in WWE history but one of the best and most recognisable characters. The deadman character is something that could never be recreated and have the same effect. It's something that worked back then and worked for so long because of how iconic and brilliant Taker is at this role and that really is something special to have. Surrounded by myth and legend the Undertaker is one a million and since nineteen ninety the Deadman has remained one of the most frightening and mythical figures in pop culture. The moment that "GONG" goes off everyone is hooked. All eyes are on one man, your heart rate increases and the intensity goes through the roof. As a kid watching the Undertaker there was always a mixture of fear and excitement but I don't believe there was an other superstar to quite the effect the Undertaker had and continues to have to this day.

Doink

Okay, so I know there is going to be handful of people reading this thinking I'm actually insane for pointing Doink in this list. Throughout the years there really has been some rather terrifying characters grace the WWE stage with wicked intentions, a dark and intense entrance and a vibe that has fans on the edge of their seats throughout a show and having nightmares as we had to dream land and many won't consider Doink to be one of those stars however, I have always been terrified of clowns and so the Doink character for me growing up was the scariest shit in the world! If you know me you know that I have always been so so scared of clowns, I don't know where it came from (probably McDonald's to be fair) and so whenever I would see Doink it honestly had me scared out of my mind. While he didn't quite poses the fear factor Pennywise did from Stephen King's IT I was still afraid and despite his far from terrifying persona as he walked around the ring and worked the more goofy like character he had a massive impact on those fans like myself who have grown up with a fear of clowns.

Kane

Up next is a pretty obvious pick as I'm pretty sure this superstar will be featuring in many posts just like this but come on, I had to include him. Which wrestling fan wouldn't include Kane in the conversation  of some of the WWE scariest Superstars in it's history? The former world champion has been making an impact for fifteen years and was a huge part of why I often slept with the lights on. Okay, so that may be a slight exaggeration but come on, Kane will forever go down as one of the scariest superstars in WWE history and I'm  confident the majority of you reading this were totally expecting to see him feature in today's blog post. Debuting back in nineteen ninety seven at the Bad Blood pay per view Kane has living in the nightmares of kids around the world since and has earned the right to named one of the most iconic figures in  pro wrestling. The masked figure arrived in the WWE with a story and revenge in mind as the devils favourite demon set out to bring further destruction into the life of his brother, the Undertaker. For years the two have worked with and against one another in some off the best and most iconic matches, segments and storylines but throughout the fifteen years Kane has been apart of the WWE he has been making an impact and working as one of the most intimidating and scary superstars on the block. His debut was totally haunting and an iconic moment in both WWE and pro wrestling history. It's something I still go back and re-watch and every time I do so I'm reminded of just how much of an epic moment it really was and is. Throughout the years Kane has changed little parts of his image from the ring gear to the entrance theme but one thing has remained, his sheer fear factor. As he arrived on the scene masked their was an air of mystery about him and it was that kept fans on the edge of their seats wanting to learn more about the new star on  the scene and when he finally revealed his face to the WWE universe it too was an iconic moments in WWE history. Scary, intense, and totally gripping it's yet another moment I'm constantly going back and watching over again. Throughout his career Kane has had so many standout moments like this that have showcased him to be one of the best of the best, an iconic character and without shadow of a doubt one of the scariest WWE superstars in history.

Paul Bearer

When I was a kid there was no one in the WWE I was more scared of than Paul Bearer. Looking at the list today I have to say that it's this entrant that I would have to place at number one if I was ranking these superstars. Even now, if I was to go back and take a look some of Bearer's work I can tell that I would most certainly have that same feeling I got when I was a kid. A natural in bringing the fear element to the world of pro wrestling Paul Bearer had a natural scary on screen vibe that as a kid just totally freaked me out. Everything from the way he carried himself, the pale white face, and his speaking voice had me terrified and the effect he has was just brilliant. To portray a character so well and to have such an epic impact really does highlight just how amazing Paul was at his job. Again, another iconic figure in the WWE and the world of sports entertainment he will forever be known as one of the scariest men in this industry. When I think back to my childhood watching wrestling with my brother Paul Bearer really sticks out for me. He too was such a big part of the time I was growing up watching wrestling and apart of a huge generation that loved and feared his character. Working with Kane and the Undertaker was a perfect fit, the chemistry with both superstars was fantastic and his ghostly and ghoulish persona ensured that it all came together so well. He had such an impact on me growing up that even looking at a picture of Bearer kinda scares me which honestly is something I can only say about the one and only.

Bray Wyatt

And finally a little bonus entry in  Bray Wyatt. I did want to keep this a top five but I just had to make one last entry and it had to go to the former WWE champion Bray Wyatt. There have been so many names in history that have gone down as some damn right scary WWE superstars and I'm sure there are many more that would suppress Wyatt but I really did want to include a modern day superstar thats on our screens right now and bringing that scary and intense vibe to the screen and Wyatt was the perfect fit. Okay, so the WWE have been getting things wrong with Wyatt for what seems like forever but lets not take anything away from Bray Wyatt the character. Throughout the terrible booking Wyatt has highlighted himself to be an extremely talented and haunting figure in the WWE today. His gripping promos make zero sense but at the beginning it had me hooked. He brought mystery and fear and something that was really missing and he nailed it. He brought modern twist to a character that had so must interest and the potential was always so high. To this day there are still elements to Wyatt's character we are learning and if the WWE can find a way to turn it around then Wyatt really could be going down in history and build his way to reaching the levels the other superstars we have spoken about today have reached.

And there we have it! I really did struggle with this blog post just because there were so many names I wanted to mentioned and I very easily could have made this a top ten but I kept to my guns and decided to keep the post to a top five! Just because I have to mention it, I would have loved to have included the likes of Papa Shango and Luna Vachon and they are both making me feel as though I should have increased the numbers a little but I'm happy with the end result.  I am planning on uploading at least one more Halloween based article before next week so make sure you keep an eye out for that! For now, any recent blog posts will be linked bellow including my WWE TLC twenty seventeen review from earlier on in the week.
