5 WWE Superstars Who Must Switch Brands in 2018

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well and good and have had an awesome start to the brand new month. It seems pretty crazy that we've already reached the second month of twenty eighteen! Where on earth did January go! Scary! Now, of course, a brand new month means a brand new set of blog posts here on my blog and I'm super excited for the next few weeks ahead. We are officially on the road to Wrestlemania so you can expect plenty of content focusing on the biggest wrestling event of the year but for today we're touching on topic that has appeared to become a regular little post here on my blog as I take a look at five superstars I believe must switch brands in twenty eighteen. I've written quite a few posts like this in the past and not only do I always enjoy writing them but it appears as though you guys like reading them! Of course, I have no idea when the next draft/superstar Shakeup will take place but we have to predict there should be one coming up fairly soon hence the reason this post is taking place today. We will as always be looking at both RAW and Smackdown LIVE stars but there may be a few more names moved from one brand than the other. As always, any recent blog post will be linked below and you can let me know who you think should switch brands this year by leaving a comment below or by tweeting me over at @TezangiVictoria.

This post was pre-posted several weeks back and an updated version will be posted soon!

Sasha Banks

Almost two years ago when the brand extension was first announced I listed Sasha Banks as one of the women that must be drafted to Smackdown LIVE and all these months later I still believe that the blue brand is where she belongs. Of course, she has done so much while apart of the RAW roster and has without a shadow of a doubt become one of the key figures of the division there, however, after Wrestlemania it is time for a shakeup and when discussing who should move brands Banks has to be one of the names considered. Now, if the four horsewomen vs Horsewomen match is to happen anytime soon it may best to have the four women divided onto the two shows which may be why Banks isn't moved but for a big show like SummerSlam or even next years Wrestlemania, it doesn't matter where these women are. What Banks as a singles competitor needs, however, is something new and that could be exactly what is waiting for her over on Smackdown LIVE with names such as Ruby Riott, Carmella, and Natalya. I do believe there is still a great deal for her on RAW and so a move could be delayed and if she isn't moved then a heel turn is a must! Although that is a topic we will save for a completely different post!

Braun Strowman

One of the main superstars that inspired me to write this post in the first place was Braun Strowman. There is no denying that Strowman has been the most dominant force in the WWE over the past year and a half taking over the world of pro wrestling making sure to take out every man that stood in his way on the RAW roster, looking ahead, however, we do need to see things shake up. There's only so much Strowman can do with the talent on one roster and I'm hoping that at some point in two thousand and eighteen Strowman is given the chance to take his reign of dominance to the blue brand. Taking on the likes of AJ Styles, Baron Corbin, Bobby Roode, and even a Smackdown LIVE feud with John Cena will do everything for the brand and more. This is a case of the superstar helping the brand more than the brand helping the superstar. Strowman has a lot to bring to Smackdown LIVE and is exactly what the blue side is missing, that big, dominant superstar. They need a giant powerhouse and Strowman is the right man one hundred percent. The Summer is when the shakeup is going to be needed more than ever and by that time the perfect fit will most certainly be Smackdown LIVE for the monster among men.

Chad Gable

Up next we have one of only two Smackdown LIVE stars to feature in this post I believe needs to switch brands; Chad Gable. My opinions on Gable really have changed over the years. I didn't jump on the hype as quick as everyone else but once he and Jordan really got going I became a massive fan however now, I just struggle to have an interest in his work and that's the problem. Gable has all the potential in the world! He's a fantastically skilled in-ring performer but he isn't being used to his full potential at all. Sure, throughout his career he has been apart of some epic matches including his previous championship match at the Royal Rumble pay per view but he's nowhere near at the level he should be. He hasn't worked as well with Shelton Benjamin as expected, however, to be honest, I never had great expectations of the pairing in the first place and looking ahead I do believe it's best both men head their separate ways and go on to do their own thing. Gable moving over to RAW is a big deal but it opens plenty of storyline doors he needs. Working with Jason Jordan again is a must whether it be a feud between the pair or reuniting them down the line as a tag team their chemistry is too good to be wasted. Of course, there is the chance he could massively fade into the background on RAW and more of an effort would be needed when it comes to him if he was to switch brands but used right he could be much bigger than he is right now and RAW could be the perfect fit for him.

Seth Rollins

The man that truly inspired me to write this post in the first place was, of course, Seth Rollins. Yet another name that has featured in previous posts like this Rollins is a superstar I have believed should be apart of the blue brand for quite some time. Smackdown LIVE is crying out for Rollins. He's the type of star the roster desperately needs alongside Strowman and the pair making the move would be huge for the brand. They need more big names as part of the roster and Rollins is exactly. He's growing rather boring and stale up on RAW despite constant solid booking and strong matches and he is another star that really is in need of something new and fresh very soon and switching brands is exactly what he needs. Moving on to face off against the likes of AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Baron Corbin could help him, those names and the roster and could open the doors for him to go back to his heel role which in all honesty he works best!

Randy Orton

And finally, the man who needs the move more than anyone else on this list, Randy Orton. Yes, it's time for Randy to head back over to Monday night RAW. He's the veteran they need and in all honesty, there isn't anything else for him on Smackdown LIVE. He's constantly stuck working the same matches, the same boring storylines, and feuds and he's crying out for something new. Sure, a superstar of his level has done it all but there is talent on RAW he could help take to the next level such as Elias but also work some fantastic feuds that could switch things up massively, for example, the Miz and Samoa Joe. While some time away from the ring could be exactly what he needs also eventually moving to RAW is the next best move and should hopefully be the next step forward in fans having an actual interest in his booking once again!

And that sums up my top five WWE Superstars I believe must switch brands in two thousand eighteen! I had so much fun writing this post as always and I would love to know what you guys think! So feel free to leave a comment below or tweet me over at @TezangiVictoria telling me who you think should move brands this year.
