Five Women Who Could End Asuka's Undefeated Streak

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well and good and have had a great start to the fresh new month! It's pretty crazy to think we have already hit March, however, I have to admit that I'm really looking forward to spring and the warmer months ahead! Now the past thew weeks has seen a lot of changes here on my blog because of a number of different reasons but things are looking up, I'm working on everything that needs to be worked on and I have some interesting and fun content coming up for you throughout the next four weeks and beyond! In today's blog post we once again turn our attention to the WWE women's division taking an in-depth look at the most dominant women in all of professional wrestling today, the former NXT Women's champion, the undefeated, empress of tomorrow, Asuka. On the road to her first ever Wrestlemania match Asuka is looking to walking out of the biggest wrestling event of the year as champion and while the chances are extremely high and I don't doubt for a single second she will be walking out of New Orleans with gold around her waist I want to focus on topic we all seem to be discussing; the questions regarding just who will be the women to end Asuka's undefeated streak. After nearly three years undefeated, Asuka has become one of the most dominant superstars in WWE history breaking and making records left, right and center, however, nothing lasts forever and one day the luck the empress of tomorrow posess will run out but who will be the women to either make her tap or leave Asuka taking her first pinfall? We're going to be listing five potential candidates in today's blog post and as always I would love to know what you guys think! With that being said feel free to leave a comment below or tweet me over at @TezangiVictoria.

THIS POST WAS PRE POSTED A MONTH AGO

Charlotte

Charlotte VS Asuka has Wrestlemania match quality all over it. The potential to go down in history as an iconic collision this is a contest I personally cannot wait to one day sit back and witness. Two of the WWE's most dominant and leading faces of this generation they are both pioneers in the ever-growing women's evolution and the story between them writes itself. On one side we have Charlotte; genetically superior, daughter of two-time Hall of Famer Ric Flair, a future legend in her own right, Charlotte has carried the torch in leading women into a new day and age. Several matches behind her and storyline's that will go down in history, Charlotte has cemented herself as one of the biggest stars in the WWE today. With her own impressive PPV streak previously adding to her dominance, Charlotte is a force to be reckoned with. While many step in the ring with her very few walk out with impressive victories over the current champ. On the other hand with Asuka, the empress of tomorrow. Undefeated, an NXT Women's championship reigning spanding over five hundred days and a dominant debut for the WWE this is a dream match. The two are listed as the best of the best and the moment you put the put Empress of tomorrow vs the Queen in lights its going to draw attention. Charlotte is one of only few women who could score a legitimate victory over Asuka and fans wouldn't have anything to complain about. She is the genetically superior one, the queen and not to mention the match itself has all the potential in the world to be a match of the year candidate.

Bayley

Right. So I will be the first to admit I've really struggled to enjoy the majority of what we have seen from Bayley since the former NXT Women's champion joined the main roster. However, with that being said, lets not forget just exactly what it was Bayley got up to during her time in NXT including a very memorable feud with the Empress of tomorrow herself. After Asuka defeated Bayley to become the new NXT women's champion the pair battled it out one more time for NXT TV in what was an intense and important matchup. One of Asuka's best matches since joining the WWE it showed a new side to Bayley and her character and if you keep in mind all those two women did during that time it only makes sense for the story to come full circle. A road to redemption storyline for Bayley is key. Keep her off TV for a while. Have Sasha turn heel, attack and kayfabe injure Bayley and build a story from there were the hug life leader focuses on building her way back up to the top and eventually getting a title run. Make us get behind her again and push her as that big underdog babyface we all were rooting for two years ago. We know from history that Bayley and Asuka have all the kills to deliver a good quality match and tell a brilliant story. Of corse it will be very hit or miss having Bayley defeate Asuka but it works and makes sense. Push Asuka as a bigger heel character and you have something that works. The win also gives Bayley that feeling of importance. It shows she is a serious WWE superstar with real in ring skill and deserving of being champion. For this to work the right build, patience, and a good story will have to be done!

Ronda Rousey

Now, here is a box office match! Ronda Rousey vs Asuka is something I can totally see Triple H booking as a major pay per view main event and rightfully so. This feels like a big deal and the seeds have already been planted. Their brief encounter at the Royal Rumble set it all up. Ronda technically stole the spotlight from Asuka after the empress f tomorrow made history once again winning the first ever women's Royal Rumble and it was perfect. Asuka refusing to shake Rousey's hand was the first piece of confrontation we got between the two and now I know this is a match I need. Both serious women in this industry the skill they possess is scary good! Both excellent in their areas of work a collision between the two makes for something truly must see and let's be honest it's pretty much inevitable. At some point these two women are going to go one on one and in all honesty, I cannot wait! Ronda is a true bad ass and Asuka... well she is hands down the most dangerous women in professional wrestling (as the WWE like to portray her). Ronda ending Asuka's streak is something we can all predict and see coming but while predictable it doesn' change the fact it would be pretty awesome. A convincing win comes from this match. A controversial booking decision yes but the story alone is perfect. The expectations are high for this, there is a demand, and the genuine feeling of not knowing which of these dominant women will score the victory makes this a future historic match.

Sasha Banks

Sasha Banks and Asuka recently proved they can damn well deliver a killer match when given the time. After their confrontation in the first-ever women's Royal Rumble match, the two went one on one for the first time the following night on RAW and what a match it was! Leaving fans wanting more I know I for sure was one of many who grew desperate to see these two go one on one again. A Wrestlemania quality match also the pair showed that there is a great story to be told here. Once you put Sasha in her heel Boss role she takes full control and dominates. She's entertaining, more fun to watch, and the whole feel of her matches change. Book her in that role in a big-time singles match against Asuka and you are getting gold! Now, I would personally hate seeing a babyface Sasha Banks defeat Asuka and end the steak but a cocky, strong heel Banks doing so? Perfect. It makes for a killer story and a big chapter in Banks' career. Again, the seeds have been planted here and I would love to see these two collide in many more matches in the future.

Bianca Belair

And finally, the only current NXT name to feature in today's blog post, Mae Young Classic competitor, Bianca Belair. Okay, so this one is very far fetched and I was unsure as to who to include in this post between Belair and Nia Jax but I wanted to shake things up a little. While we haven't seen all too much of Belair it's known that the WWE is very very high on Bianca and it shows. She is an all-around perfect WWE superstar. She has the look, the attitude, the confidence, the in ring skills and a character she makes work perfectly. The more do see of her the more she will impress and I can almost guarantee her booking down in NXT will be extremely strong and that's something we will see continue as she one day enters the main roster. Now, It's likely to be a long way away before we see her up on either RAW or Smackdown LIVE making her the least likely name on this list to end the streak but could you imagine a shock debut and on her first night defeats Asuka. It's a risky risky move but depending on how high the WWE are on her lets not rule anything out. Of course, it is more like Jax could do so but in my little head this too also makes sense and in my world it's something I would book one hundred percent!

And there we have it! That is my list! As always, any recent blog posts will be linked below and you can get involved and tell me who you think and would like to see end Asuka's undefeated streak by leaving a comment below or by tweeting me over at @TezangiVictoria.
