Last Week in Wrestling

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well and good and have had a great weekend! Okay, so it's the start of a fresh new week and as we edge closer to Wrestlemania we, of course, have so much to touch on! The last seven days have seen more matches added to the Mania card, more twists, some departures, and news headlines! Today, I'm back with my latest edition of Last Week in Wrestling. For anyone new here, this is simply where I take a look back at the past week in the world of pro wrestling and discuss some of the biggest talking points of the last seven days in the world of pro wrestling both in and outside the WWE. However, just like last week, today's post is very much WWE based because if I'm being honest, I've been so busy and distracted I haven't had the time to go over everything I would have liked to but I do have a good solid post for you today! Throughout the week I have some Wrestlemania and NXT content coming up as well as a look at the young British Stars taking over right now which is likely to go up at the end of the week so keep an eye out for that! For now, however, any recent blog posts will be linked below and you can get involved and tell me what you thought of last week in Wrestling by leaving a comment below or by tweeting me over at @TezangiVictoria.

Biggest News Story of the Week

Last weeks episode of Monday Night RAW saw a big announcement made. As speculated, at this years Wrestlemania pay per view the women's division will once again be given the spotlight and a big opportunity in a Battle Royal. On the show, it was revealed that the match would be in honor of the late Fabulous Moolah and of course this sparked serious controversy. The wrestling community blew up with tweets and articles coming in left right and center arguing the point of why this historic moment for the division should not be in the honor of the WWE Hall of Famer. It's been made public knowledge that Moolah was not the nicest of people and while the WWE seems to have no shame in ignoring all the horrible rumoured things she had done the fans, of course, have not and will not forget and the up raw left the WWE with no choice but to make changes and later in the week tweets were sent out announcing the name had been changed and the Battle Royal would no longer be in honour of Moolah. This is something I want to address more in a big blog post I'm working on so keep an eye out for that however, this was once again another moment where the fans voices were heard and while the WWE shouldn't have made the decision in the first place the very quick response spoke volumes.

Goodbyes and New Arrivals

In last weeks edition of my last Week in Wrestling Post, I touched on the cuts being made down in NXT especially and the realses the WWE have made. While the roster hasn't been affected greatly what so ever by the names that have been dropped it has been interesting seeing just who the WWE has let go. This week backstage interviewer/announcer Christy St. Cloud has been released which didn't come as any surprise and hasn't been spoken about massively at all. The bigger story to come out of the past week has revolved around Matt Hardy and his up and coming must-see match against Bray Wyatt. Throughout the week the WWE has uploaded videos of Matt showing us around the Hardy Compound ahead of the sure to be very interesting and very entertaining collision with Wyatt. Matt's wife Reby Hardy also tweeted out a family picture with the caption "coming soon" indicating that she will be making her way to WWE TV.Of course, nothing is official but things are for sure about to get very interesting or Matt and the story revolving around him! Throughout the next few weeks, Hardy is going to be someone I talk about a lot here on my blog as we get an insight as to where the WWE is going with him over the next few months!

Tyler Bate has also suffered an injury and will no longer be apart of the Dusty Rhodes tag team classic where he was set to team up with Trent Seven. He isn't set to be out of action for a great deal of time and I'm sure he will bounce back perfectly fine.

Roster Changes

Over the past few days, there have also been reports that there may be Roster changes ahead. This is something that has been needed for some time! I've mentioned it in several blog posts over the past couple of months and in tomorrows blog post I will be taking a look at five stars I want to see move brands! It's rumored that the superstar shakeup will take place soon after Wrestlemania but the WWE is yet to make the announcement themselves and it could very well be a while before they do so!

Last Week and This Week in Wrestling

I have to say that I really enjoyed a lot of what we got from last week in Wrestling. The women's division is red hot the moment with Sasha Banks and Bayley building to a possible matchup at Wrestlemania along with Asuka arriving on Smackdown LIVE and the feud between Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss starting up just in time for a good build before Wrestlemania which of course I'm really looking forward to seeing progress. We also had a very different and interesting contract signing for the NXT championship where the Champion didn't show up and instead, Zelina Vega took control in a brilliant segment with Aleister Black while over on NXT the biggest talking point came from the closing moments where Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn delivered a brutal attack on Shane McMahon. On this weeks show Daniel Bryan is set to make a return while over on RAW we all await a response from the dead man following Cena's Wrestlemania challenge and Brock Lesnar is expected to be on this weeks episode of Monday Night RAW.

And that was last week in Wrestling! Throughout the week I have some Wrestlemania and NXT content coming up as well as a look at the young British Stars taking over right now which is likely to go up at the end of the week so keep an eye out for that!
