WWE UK Tournament 2: Stars Who Must be Involved

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well and good and have had a great week so far! So it has been announced by the WWE that in the summer of this year the WWE UK Tournament will be making a return. In June of twenty eighteen at the Royal Albert Hall, a group of names fresh from the UK scene will look to make an impact on the grandest stage they have competed on so far in their careers. Details have yet to be announced in regards to whether or not talent from the previous UK Championship tournament including stars such as Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate will be involved but I thought it would be a good time now to kick-start the conversation and have a discussion early on focusing on this sure to be a must-see tournament. Now, the first edition went down a treat. Day two was evidently the better show however across the two days we saw some brilliant wrestling from UK talent who impressed audiences around the world. This Summer we can look forward to seeing a brand new batch of talent stepping into the spotlight and so in today's blog post I'm going to be listing five names I want to see involved in the WWE UK Championship tournament two. I will be creating and uploading more content around the show closer to the time including a review once it is over and done with. For now, however, any recent blog posts will be linked below and you can get involved in the conversation by leaving a comment below or by dropping me a tweet over at @TezangiVictoria.

This is a pre-posted Blog Post

Zack Gibson

Kickstarting today's blog post is Liverpool's number one, Zack Gibson. A very popular name amongst the UK scene I and many others were surprised to see Gibson not involved in the first ever WWE United Kingdom Championship tournament. Popular amongst fans across this side of the pond Gibson has shone in roles both as a face and heel winning tough crowds over with his brilliant character work and wrestling skill. Personally, I do believe you will go back and witness Gibson at his best while working under a heel persona. The Liverpool's number one gimmick is something he nails perfectly and comes across like a genuine heel whenever he is on screen. He has a cocky arrogance to him and when you watch him insult the fans, calling everyone in attendance "smarks" it always generates a reaction and then he goes ahead and works fantastic matches that leave you entertained once again. Gibson is a brilliant pick for the WWE UK Tournament and a possible winner. Sure to be the Pete Dunne of the second edition his heel work, in-ring talent, and connection with the fans will make him a standout and favourite for the win both with the WWE Universe and the company itself.

Gabriel Kidd

One of the youngest talents on the scene right now, Gabriel Kidd is a rising star fans are very quickly latching onto. While he still has plenty of improvements to be made in regards to his character work Kidd is forever delivering in the ring working fantastic matches against top names including Zack Sabre JR, Joe Coffee, Doug Williams, and Austin Aries. Still very new to the world of pro wrestling Kidd has a long and big future ahead of him and I'm confident the WWE will be snapping him up sometime within the next couple of years, however, the with the announcement of a second WWE UK tournament it appears as though Kidd may not have to wait too long for an opportunity. If he is set to be involved I highly doubt he will follow in the footsteps of fellow twenty-year-old Tyler Bate in taking the victory but he is sure to be one of the standout performers in the ring and could very easily work one of the best matches of the weekend.

BT Gunn

There is no one I'm more confident will be involved in this summers WWE UK Tournament than ICW star BT Gunn. Again, Gunn was another name I and so many others were surprised to see not involved in last years tournament. Another big name on the UK scene, Gunn has won championships across so many different promotions including WCPW and ICW. His worked matches against some of the best in the game such as Jimmy Havoc and has earned the right to be named one of the best of the best. Gunn has also competed in a fatal four way alongside current champ Pete Dunne for the UK Championship on an edition of ICW which of course was an indication he could very well find himself competing for the WWE in the second WWE UK Championship tournament. A talent who will bring experience, skill, charisma, and some of the best matches of the weekend. Pairing him with someone like Gabriel Kidd could easily make for the standout bout of the tournament this time around.

Jimmy Havoc

Possibly the biggest name fans want to see involved in this years WWE UK Championship tournament, Jimmy Havoc is the man on everyone's lips and so he has been for several years. Building a name for himself Havoc has become one of the biggest names on the UK wrestling scene competing around the world and representing the hardcore division perfectly. His charisma is like no other, his character is modern and connects with fans of all ages and his mic work matches perfectly with what he can do in the ring. Havoc is able to captivate fans during every and any angle he is apart of. His hard-hitting, hardcore, intense style in the ring leaves you on the edge of your seat and wanting more come the end. Jimmy is an amazing performer all round he is exactly what not only are the WWE UK division missing but the WWE as a whole. He's someone who can bring something different to the tournament and the company and as one of the most popular stars on the scene today he is sure to be a fan favourite amongst many drawing in audiences and picking up one heck of a reaction. For me personally, Havoc vs Dunne or Havoc vs Gibson is my favourite for the finals.

Joe Coffey

And finally, we have Joe Coffee. Yet again, Coffey has built his way up the top of the ladder. A popular name on the British Wrestling scene, Coffey has worked some of the best matches the UK has to offer competing alongside top names including Mickey Whiplash, Trent Seven, Primate and international Stars including Kassius Ohno and Minoru Suzuki. He is yet another talent who could bring experience and brilliant match quality to the UK tournament working matches against several different names could result in matches that are not only highlights of the weekend but of the year. He too brings a lot of fan interaction and popularity and sure to get everyone talking not only about him but the United Kingdom Championship tournament.

And that was today's blog post! I do want to write more on this topic in the near future including review the actual show!
