Top 10 Current WWE Big Men (Part 1)

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well and good and have had an awesome week so far! Now, if you know me you know that I have a real love and hate relationship with the bigger male stars not only in the WWE but wrestling as a whole. The typical style isn't something that enjoy watching as much and personally have always favored work from smaller stars leaning more on the cruiserweight side of the roster. However, throughout history, there have been a number of stars to stand out and show they are more than capable of shaking things up in the ring, also delivering athletic performances and taking part in some truly epic matches! Just take the Big Show vs Braun Strowman as a very very recent example! With all that in mind, in today's blog post we are going to be listing the current top five best WWE big men. This will include stars from RAW, Smackdown LIVE, and NXT! An all-time favourite version of this post is something I would love to do so if that's something you would be interested in do let me know! As always any recent blog posts will be linked below and finally, you can tell me who you would have added to this list by leaving a comment below or by tweeting me over at @TezangiVictoria.

Killian Dane

Previously known as Big Damo, the now Killian Dane has fitted into the world of WWE perfectly! Finding a role as the muscle in Sanity Dane has become a key figure on the NXT roster and throughout the past year and a half has taken part in some solid matches as a singles competitor and standout performances in tag team action. While it did take time for me personally get to used to the switch between Sawyer Fulton and Dane, the Irish star is one hundred percent the right replacement. While we haven't heard all too much if anything from Killian he's managed to stand out on sheer dominance in-ring skill alone. Towering over most opponents and almost always having the size advantage Dane is a man that cannot be missed and he refuses to be a face fading into the background. For anyone that has seen Dane's work outside the WWE you know just how strong his versatility is. While a big guy Killian's speed is fantastic ability to keep up with much smaller stars. He moves around the ring as though in his head he's a damn cruiserweight and whats even better is we haven't even seen a fraction of what he is capable. A for sure face to watch in the future the growth of Killian Dane is going to be one to truly keep our eyes on and with the WWE already showing signs of being high on him (including him in last years Andre the Giant memorial battle royal was a big clue) the future looks very bright and very exciting for young Killian Dane.

Braun  Strowman

It would have been a crime to have written this post and not included the monster among men, Braun Strowman. There is no denying that as I write this Braun Strowman is the best big men on the WWE roster and one of the best in the world today. Everything from character work, in-ring ability, and popularity make Strowman the perfect WWE superstar. Yes, it may have taken some time for the WWE to get things right with him and for fans to connect with the star but he currently sits as one of the main attractions and the people's champion. His sheer dominance is something that cannot go unnoticed; from throwing smaller stars like jobbers and Enzo Amore around the ring as though they weigh nothing to taking out the likes of Roman Reigns, Kane, and Triple H to tipping over vehicles and literally destroying the entire WWE set. This is a man that manhandles Brock Lesnar, destroys everything in sight and comes across as a real-life monster. He also continues to prove that the bigger guys on the roster are more than capable of putting on fantastic matches with bouts against Roman Reigns and even the Big Show proved to be standout matches of the past year! There are no signs of Strowman slowing down as he currently leads the pack and sets the bar everyone needs to up their game and catch up with this monster!

War Machine

Okay, as I write this blog post War Machine are yet to make their WWE debut but the newly signed tag team are proving to the whole world they are the best at what they do. With both weighing well over two hundred and fifty pounds the pair weighs in as literally one of the biggest tag teams in the world today. If for some reason you haven't stumbled across their work before then I seriously advise you to do so because trust me these guys are killing it! Wrestling all around the world including promotions in Japan and the UK and while their opponents are often half their size the pair are forever competing in brilliant matches that leave me completely speechless. The athleticism of both these men is fantastic and their ability to work such strong matches against multiple talents of different styles is brilliant and I cannot wait for their run with the WWE to really kick start! Watch this space!

Lars Sullivan

Up next we have the man that actually inspired me to write this post in the first place, Lars Sullivan. In recent Last Month in NXT posts, I've mentioned Lars Sullivan several times naming him one of the stars to watch in the coming months and one of the most promising NXT superstars of today. While we haven't seen very much of him it's clear the WWE are high on Sullivan. His booking has been very strong and matches with the likes of Kassius Ohno and the epic fatal four way with Johnny Gargano, Aleister Black, and Killian Dane showed Sullivan to be one to truly keep our eyes on. One of the strongest and most dominant men on the roster Lars is a breath of fresh air. His psychotic character is something the WWE can really work on and develop greatly over time with the potential storyline's really looking rather promising. What I love the most about Sullivan is he has the same path as the likes of Braun Strowman, He's not a big indie star with years and years of experience, Lars Sullivan is NXT bred and I love it. We can literally see his career grow as he goes from strength to strength and already he has come a long way. If he can secure a really strong match, a captivating storyline and develop a better relationship with the fans then Sullivan has a big bright future ahead of him.

Luke Harper

The likes of Bray Wyatt and Samoa Joe are names I also considered for this post but I really wanted to spend today looking at stars we don't get to talk about as often, stars that really deserve to be highlighted as some of the best male talent leaning on the bigger end of the scale and Harper is a name that had to be mentioned. Of course, his tag team partner Erick Rowan is also fantastic in-ring performer but anyone that knows me knows that I have always been a bigger Harper fan. I've been following his career for a long time and his run on the indie scene saw just exactly what he is capable of delivering in that ring. Yet again, another big star that moves around the ring as though in his head he is a cruiserweight. Throughout his WWE career alone Harper has left fans speechless following his very diverse move set and seeing how underutilized he has been really is such a shame but with his tag team career on the up let's hope things are set to improve for Harper in the months to come!

And there we go! That is my list! As always any recent blog posts will be linked below and finally, you can tell me who you would have added to this list by leaving a comment below or by tweeting me over at @TezangiVictoria.
