10 Matches the 2018 WWE Superstar Shake Up Has Left Us Wanting (part 2)

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well and good and have had a great week so far! Okay so have reached the near end of yet another week but we still have plenty to talk about and in today's blog post we once again focus our attention on the two thousand and eighteen WWE Superstar shake-up. Taking place only last week, we saw several superstars switch brands all in the spirit of a brand new era and while we had a mix of good and not so good moves and decisions what we most certainly were given was a potential for some amazing brand new never seen before matches to take place. Over the next week, I'm going to be diving into some of those matches listing ten Matches the two thousand and eighteen WWE Superstar Shake up has left us wanting. This will, of course, be a two-part piece with part two going up this time next week so keep an eye out for that! Now, before we get going with today's post I want to mention that I will be writing some content on the Greatest Royal Rumble event taking place tomorrow, however, I will not be live tweeting! I will, however, be back live tweeting next Monday for RAW! As always, any recent blog posts will be linked below including last weeks separate RAW and Smackdown LIVE highlights! Finally, you can get involved and tell me what matches the superstar shake-up has left you wanting by leaving a comment below or by tweeting me over at @TezangiVictoria.

Ember Moon vs Sasha Banks

Ember Moon's call up to the main roster was something we all expected to see prior Wrestlemania thirty-four and so when she was revealed as Nia Jax's tag team partner fans were up on their feet and buzzing! While she may far away from a championship opportunity there are several matches I know I personally cannot wait to see Moon apart of; From  stipulation matches like the Money in the Bank ladder match and Hell in a Cell to one on one contests against a number of superstars but topping that list is, of course, Sasha Banks. We haven't seen Banks compete in many brilliant singles matches recently but the prospect of Banks vs Moon is one that really does get me excited. The pair have been apart of some amazing matches throughout their careers and their styles are sure to compliment each other and while the pair are yet to collide one on one when they do and are given a lengthy amount of time the potential is all there for them deliver one heck of a must-see contest!

Sanity vs New Day

As I write this post, Sanity are yet to make their debut for Smackdown LIVE but as we all know, these guys will be heading to the blue brand very soon and when they do it's clear that their first targets could very well be the New Day. It's unlikely the trio will head straight for the tag team championships and in all honesty its, not a path I want to see them go down just yet. Sure I would love to see them as champion at some point but let's put that on a hold for a bit. These guys must make sure the main roster crowds understand them and what they about. They need some good storyline's and must build momentum and the right path for them is most certainly a feud with the New Day. With an equal amount of team members, there is no doubt in my mind that some brilliant six-man tag team matches could take place in the coming months. The new Day are not currently involved in a major angle and with these two teams being so different in terms of appearance and what they stand for this is a feud that writes itself.

Chad Gable vs Jason Jordan

For anyone that follows me on twitter, you guys know that I really really want to see Chad Gable vs Jason Jordan pushed as a major storyline. This is a feud that doesn't need a championship but instead Kurt Angle. No one has been sold on the story of Jason Jordan being revealed as Kurt Angles long-lost son. Leaving American Alpha out of nowhere, Jordan arrived on RAW last year declaring he was the son of WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle leaving former tag team partner Chad Gable out on his own and with no clear direction and from that moment I have been left feeling as though there is a brilliant story that can be told here and with Gable now apart of the same brand the door has been opened for exactly that. In a dream booking world, I would have Gable build a strong work relationship with general manager Kurt Angle for Jordan to come back and start getting jealous and acting weird. We later see Jordan turn on Angle attacking him and revealing that he lied, swapping tests meaning he isn't his son and instead it is Chad Gable. It doesn't sound like a very dramatic " Jeremy Kyle esc" storyline but I do believe it's the best bet for these two superstars and gives them the spotlight they both deserve not to mention that the pair can really work on damn strong matchup full of wrestling excellence.

Andrade Cien Almas vs Jeff Hardy

A little dream match I'm really hoping we get to see very soon is Andrade Cien Almas vs Jeff Hardy. Here we have one of my all-time favourite WWE Superstars and one of my current favourite pro wrestlers on the scene today. While their styles have similarities here and there both these men are completely different and it makes for an interesting and entertaining feud. With Zelina Vega by his side we can really get a feel for Andrade and Vega stand for and what the pair is all about in this kinda rivalry. Zelina's mic work on Hardy would be brilliant and seeing her getting involved just as she did down in NXT will have the duo red hot and the bigger audiences reacting to them. Out of all the matches I have spoken about in this post this is the one I genuinely believe could be the most exciting and interesting not to mention that Andrade chasing after the US Championship is a brilliant starting point as he looks to get started and making an impact on the main roster.

Bobby Lashley vs Drew McIntyre

And to finish things off here in today's blog post we have a little TNA flashback. Both former WWE stars who went away and proved themselves now back in the WWE and working as part of Monday night RAW McIntyre and Lashley are two stars I really want to see collide in the near future. These
are two men the WWE managed to fail massively during their last run with the company and nobody wants to see history repeat itself. Both these men should be pushed as major stars and major contenders for the Universal Championship. With Lashley sure to get his hands on the title first I would love to McIntyre to step up to the plate and challenge the dominant force that Bobby Lashley in what would make for one epic story. This is a case of two powerhouses full of passion and backstory colliding and a contest many can invest in!

And that is my list! Part one of this post will be linked below just in case you missed it but As always, any recent blog posts will be linked below including last weeks separate RAW and Smackdown LIVE highlights!
