Five Potential Storyline's For Bray Wyatt Upon Return

It’s been a hot minute since fans last saw Bray Wyatt inside a WWE ring but with the former champion edging closer to his return, it’s time to start discussing exactly what we can expect from him in the months ahead. Looking at storyline’s, feuds, and future opponent’s today’s blog post will be focused entirely around Bray Wyatt and what I would love to see him involved in ahead of his much-anticipated return.

Vs Daniel Bryan

Changes in Daniel Bryan’s character and his new alliance with Erick Rowan has left fans wanting to see Bryan come face to face with Bray Wyatt once again. Bryan has gone down as one of Wyatt’s greatest rivalries with their Royal Rumble one on one contest in twenty fourteen listed as a career highlight for both stars. Bryan’s new character and role on the roster opens up the opportunity of many new directions for a second heated rivalry. We know for a fact we can get some great in-ring action between the pair and Rowan’s involvement makes this a very interesting and entertaining storyline to ease Wyatt back into the scene.

An Alliance with Nikki Cross

I’ve mentioned it before here on my blog and briefly on social media that the one angle I am desperate to see the WWE focus in on is an elegance between Bray Wyatt and Nikki Cross. With Cross standing out as one of the most entertaining, unique and interesting characters in the women’s division she makes for an excellent pick to focus in on the sister Abigail story once again. Sister Abigail has been a vital element in the character of Bray Wyatt from the get-go, yet the WWE has never quite handled the angle properly, Nikki Cross gives the WWE one more chance to get it right and if it is done correctly it could change and shape the careers of both these superstars. Switching Wyatt’s position up and seeing the possible directions they take this alliance in is very exciting!

Aleister Black’s First Solid Main Roster Opponent

With Aleister Black waving goodbye to NXT and arriving on the main roster fans have witnessed the former NXT Champion make one heck of an impact on both RAW and Smackdown LIVE having a slow yet effective build up. Looking ahead, however, and it’s only a matter of time before Black is involved in a huge major storyline as a main roster singles star and there is truly denying that a rivalry against Bray Wyatt makes for some must-see viewing. While this is an angle that puts both men in a difficult situation considering Black needs to build momentum and look strong while Wyatt needs to show this is a new time for him and bounce back from a difficult few years of booking it still cannot be denied that this is pretty much a dream rivalry. The two possesses very unique, haunting, and theatrical characters that when collide could make for something very special. I do believe we could get some epic matches out of these two working together that will highlight Black as a future champion and remind fans of just how damn good Wyatt is in the ring.

A New WWE

Now, this isn’t an angle I have seen rumoured or spoken about by many other fans, but it is something I know I most certainly would be interested in developing. Looking at Wyatt making a return and setting his sights on calling out the McMahon family may just be one of the best creative directions for the former WWE Champion. With the McMahon family including Vince all making regular appearances for both RAW and Smackdown LIVE it opens doors for the corporate family to involve themselves in big storyline’s and while that’s a decision that doesn’t always go down well with fans history has proven that when done correctly it can be legendary and career-defining for several superstars. Wyatt confronting the McMahon family challenging their position will make for some interesting mic/ promo work but also allow fans to see another side to Wyatt’s character and add more depth. There are many creative options here and this is an angle I’d love to talk about in more detail.

Sanity

I’ve said it a million times before both here on my blog and during twitter rants but the use of the Sanity since their main roster call up has been extremely disappointing. If you have been following me for long enough you will know that I have been a big fan of Sanity from the get-go and after their strong run down in NXT there were many reasons to believe they would have a great run up on the main roster but things just haven’t gone well at all so far! Now, with Sanity collectively having so much experience, potential and possessing such a unique and standout characters the WWE can so easily turn this around if they just book them better and get them involved in a strong storyline and including Bray Wyatt in an angle here could be massively beneficial for everyone involved. We could get some extremely in-depth and well-executed mic work, storyline work and match ups involving Wyatt and Eric Young in the future.

It really is difficult to predict just what awaits Bray Wyatt upon his return. With the roster so stacked and Wyatt already doing so much work with other superstars it’s difficult to find exactly what will work for him but I hope today I have able to shed some light on just a few potential angles. Wyatt still has so much to offer and can make a huge impact so I honestly do hope the WWE get things right upon his return.
