Bold WWE Fastlane Predictions

This weekend the two thousand and nineteen Fastlane PPV will take place and with so much on the line during the last pay per view stop on the road to Wrestlemania this is an important and must-see event that could completely shake up the landscape of the Mania card for next month! In today’s blog post we are going to be looking at bold predictions for this weekends show and what you can possibly expect to take place on the night!

Becky Lynch Defies the Odd’s

After the brutal attack, Lynch suffered at the hands of Ronda Rousey this past Monday on RAW Becky is heading into Fastlane with an injured knee and possibly injured arm meaning the odds really are stacked against the former champion. Now, this weekend Becky will, of course, go one on one with Charlotte Flair where if the man gets the win, she will be added to the Wrestlemania RAW Women’s championship match next month. This is evidently exactly what fans want and we can expect Becky to walk out the victor on Sunday one way or another, but it won’t be an easy task at hand. We can expect Flair to work on the injuries Lynch walks into this match with and possibly even a showing from Rousey but come the end of the night there is no doubt in my mind Becky will defy the odds and walk out with one of the most important wins of her career.

Kofi Kingston Get’s Involved

Last week we saw Vince McMahon shock the world when he replaced Kofi Kingston in the Fastlane WWE Championship match with a returning Kevin Owens. While Owens remains, a strong fan favourite the disappointment and upset for Kofi was strong amongst the WWE Universe and many are hoping this isn’t the end for Kofi and his journey to a Wrestlemania moment. With Kingston taking such a major knock at the hands of McMahon we could very well see Kofi seek to make his own impact by sending a message to Vince, Owens, and the current champ. Attacking Bryan, Owens or both for that matter sets up the opportunity for Kofi to find his way back into the WWE championship picture and allow him to edge even closer to his Mania match and moment.

Roman Reigns Turns on His Shield Brothers

Looking at the history of the Shield, its Roman Reigns who has never turned his back on his Shield brothers while both Rollins and Ambrose have in fact done exactly that. Now, to predict that Reigns will change that fact this weekend, turn heel and turn on both Ambrose and Rollins is massively bold and possibly far fetched but when you look into this more it doesn’t appear to be as crazy of a prediction as you may think. Now, it’s a risk sending Reigns down the heel root at this stage of his career and return but on the flip side, it may be exactly the perfect time. We’re on the road to Wrestlemania and everyone has their sights on the spotlight and Reigns turning on his Shield brothers to effectively attempt to get himself involved in the Universal Championship match is an exciting angle the WWE may just explore. Not to mention how huge this moment would be!

Shane McMahon Turns on The Miz

I mentioned in my Elimination Chamber review that I did actually enjoy the tag team contest between The Miz and Shane and the Usos and I’m sure the two teams will deliver another decent tag team matchup this weekend also, but we remain on the topic of turns in this next prediction. For months fans have been anticipating Shane McMahon turning on The Miz and with Wrestlemania, a little over a month away now is the perfect time for the WWE to put that into action. With the Miz taking another loss fans could see Shane finally turn on the Miz and while this an angle I personally am not the biggest fan of it appears to be a strong prediction for many heading into the Fastlane PPV.

Asuka’s Wrestlemania Opponent Becomes Clear

I’ve mentioned several times before in recent blog posts and tweets that I haven’t been all too happy with the booking of Asuka on the road to Wrestlemania. The Smackdown LIVE Women’s champion has been short of opponents, storylines have been weak, and there has been a very poor amount of focus and attention on her reign and journey to Wrestlemania. This weekend Asuka will face Mandy Rose putting her title on the line on the final PPV stop on the road to Wrestlemania and while this isn’t a match I’m massively looking forward to it’s a big deal for Rose and should create a clearer picture for Asuka’s Mania opponent. Now, Sonya Deville is very much likely to be at ringside during this match and I would love to see someone like Nikki Cross come out to even the score only to later begin setting up the foundation for a Mania title contest. Now, of course, we don’t have to see Cross come out, she’s simply a personal favourite of mine but we need to see things turn around for Asuka and it's so important we see a stronger build to her Mania title match start this weekend!

And those are just some of my bold (or maybe not so bold) predictions for this weekends Fastlane PPV. I would, of course, love to know what you guys want to see this weekend so feel free to leave a comment below or tweet me over at @TezangiVictoria
