Whats Next for AJ Styles in the WWE?

Since debuting for the WWE a few years back at the Royal Rumble PPV AJ Styles has become one of the biggest attractions in the history of the company. A historic lengthy reign as WWE Champion, standout rivalries against the likes of John Cena, Shane McMahon, Roman Reigns, and Daniel Bryan along with an array of top-quality matches against numerous superstars, Styles has already done so much during a short time with the company but what do the following months await him? What’s left? And What’s next for the phenomenal one in the WWE?

Moving to Monday Night RAW

It has been revealed that following Wrestlemania a superstar shake-up will take place seeing several talents switch brands and AJ Styles is amongst those in desperate need of the change. While there are still matches and storylines against the likes of Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy, and Andrade Cien Almas awaiting him it's evident he needs a fresh start and a fresh batch of new superstars to challenge. The phenomenal one has been a consistent and important figure on the blue brand since the brand split made a return and the move to RAW when enable him to step in the ring with new stars, work fresh new storyline’s and open a new chapter in his WWE career.

A One-off Trip to NXT

While I'm  not in any way suggesting that AJ Styles makes a full time move to the black and yellow brand you really cannot deny that it would be pretty awesome to see the phenomenal one make a brief one-off appearance on an episode of NXT to show the stars of the future what awaits them up on the big stage. With the NXT roster full of the likes of Adam Cole, Velveteen Dream, Keith Lee, and Matt Riddle to name just a few, there is a series of dream matches that could take place that would set up future work and epic storyline's for a number of stars on the roster and could really switch things up for one of those up and coming talents.

Challenging Seth Rollins

In terms of dream matches its clear that a one on one between AJ Styles and Seth Rollins is most certainly on the list and the King Slayer makes for a true dream opponent for the phenomenal one. If Styles does, in fact, move to Monday night RAW and if dreams come true and Rollins walks out of Mania the new Universal Champion then it would make perfect sense for the two to collide in what could be one truly epic championship match. Now, regardless of whether Rollins does walk away with the Universal title at Mania, these two superstars have simply got to collide this year. There is no denying this could end up being a five-star bout and remind fans why these are two of the best on the wrestling scene today.

Reforming the Club to Take on The Undisputed Era

Okay, so this point may be diving way deep into the future but there is no denying that a collision between the Club and the Undisputed era makes for a dream collision. One day soon the Undisputed era will find themselves on the main roster, whether it be on RAW or Smackdown LIVE and there is an array of storylines and opponents awaiting them one, of course, being AJ Styles. This is exactly the fresh new storyline and set of opponents Styles needs! Going one on one with Adam Cole is something WWE fans need to see and including Anderson and Gallows in that story down the line makes for some serious must-see content!

Making a Star out of Drew McIntyre

Keeping on the theme of moving over to Monday night RAW there are several superstars who would make for perfect opponents for the phenomenal one and one of those names is, of course, Drew McIntyre. A man destined for great things and sure to go on to be champion one day McIntyre is in a position where he needs to keep momentum high, find himself in strong storyline’s, and take part in standout matches that allow him to show the world why he deserves to be a top star and facing AJ Styles could do exactly that! There is no denying that Styles could really bring out the best in McIntyre shaping his future while also proving yet again why he himself is an all-time great. Not to mention this is an excellent rivalry to introduce Styles to the RAW roster.

A Rivalry with the Future

With the WWE Calling up so many NXT talents it opens doors for some very exciting rivalries to take place. Seeing Styles take on the likes of Ricochet, Johnny Gargano or Aleister Black would make for some very exciting content that will kick start the main roster careers of these up and coming talents massively well not to mention how damn strong some of these matches could be going down as potential match of the year candidates.

And those are just some of the possible new directions for AJ Styles moving forward. The former brightWWE Champion has already done so much during his time with the WWE but the future remains and there are still plenty of options for the phenomenal one.
