Impact Wrestling Stars Who Have You Tuning in Every Week

I’ve said it before and I will say it again, Impact Wrestling does not get half as much of the credit it deserves. While we have seen massive changes in the level of popularity and venues the product itself is currently providing fans with entertaining storylines, great matches and fantastic characters and its that the later we are going to be focusing on in today’s blog post. The impact zone is full of interesting and diverse characters and I’m going to be listing eight today that will leave you coming back for more Impact Wrestling.

Sami Callihan

Anyone who has been following me for long enough will not be surprised to see Sami Callihan feature on this list today. I’ve said it before that despite his controversial nature he is a personal favourite of mine and his character work throughout his wrestling career has always been fantastic! Working as the leader of OvE has highlighted just how intense and entertaining Callihan is but has also reminded fans of how controversial he is. Callihan is a man who doesn’t get along with anyone aside from his oVe buddies and his unpredictable and fearless persona means he really is one to watch.

Su Yung

The captivating Su Yung is exactly that, captivating. One of the most intense and scary characters in the world of pro wrestling today she is genuinely the face of many of nightmares and that’s one of the things you just have to love about her! She’s extremely different from any other female star in the world of pro wrestling meaning she stands out greater than any other and while similar characters work the knockouts division today Su Yung has an effortless feel to everything she does that means the impact she has is truly haunting and standout.

Eddie Edwards

Eddie Edwards is a man I have enjoyed Watchung for several years now and as a result, I really have seen his character change and evolve massively especially as his singles career in the Impact Zone has developed. Moving from the Wolves to the new face of hardcore wrestling in Impact, Eddie Edwards has truly made an interesting transition. What we saw with Edwards is such a great story told where time was truly taken out for things to develop effortlessly and as a result, we now have a character that is massively important in Impact Wrestling.

Scarlett Bordeaux

Now, this is an interesting woman. Scarlett Bordeaux can most certainly be deemed a controversial star in the impact zone with her image, promos, segments and angles reminding so many of a rather sexist time in the world of pro wrestling. Her character resembles the day's many women fought to get rid of but the way in which she conducts herself and the attitude she brings to the table means she has made the idea of making wrestling sexy again work and still very powerful. She is proving that you can be sexy, work the ring in sexy gear and even underwear at times but know how to kick ass and be seen as a threat. We are finally starting to see more of her away from the “sexy” little angles and watching as she branches out is very exciting as again, she is truly bringing something very different to the table to the rest of the knockouts. There’s so much to come and so much potential when it comes down to Scarlett plus, she has a pretty awesome name!

Johnny Impact

In all honesty, if I was writing this post a month ago, I’m not completely sure I would have included Johnny Impact in this list but after his shocking heel turn, there was no way I could not include the champ in this post. Now, I have watched Johnny compete for so many different promotions and see the variety he brings to the table and it's clear he can work perfectly as both a heel and a babyface but when rocking the role of a bad guy I am truly captivated. With wife Taya by his side, Johnny is a major character on the roster today and now sporting the heel persona fans can expect a far more barbaric and ruthless version of one of their favourites as we have already seen.

Tessa Blanchard

Former knockouts champion Tessa Blanchard is by far one of the most exciting stars on the impact roster. She may not have an intense, crazy character like many that we have spoken about today but her presence is something that cannot be taught. This is a woman who demands respect and when you watch her you are completely invested. As one of the best in-ring performers on the roster today Blanchard is a young star with so much waiting for her and she has already achieved so much in her career. Current rivalry with Hall of Famer Gail Kim is one of the most exciting angles in the Impact Zone today and most certainly has me tuning in every week!

Rosemary

Similarly, to Su Yung, Rosemary has a very haunting, dark and intense character that has her standing out from the crowd not only within the knockouts division but the women’s wrestling scene as a whole. She has completely won over the fans during her time in the impact zone with her character become one of the most popular and successful within the Knockouts division and the Impact roster. A huge fan favourite, Rosemary’s return in January was a major standout of the Home Coming PPV and since then she has remained at the forefront of a very interesting storyline which is enough to have you tuning in every week!

Killer Kross

And finally, the last name I wanted to talk about today is Killer Kross. This is yet another star I have really enjoyed watching over the last couple of years and seeing the impact he has been having in the Impact Zone has me very excited! Now, with Johnny Impact recently turning heel Kross may be a little further away from getting his hands on the World championship but he shows no signs of slowing down in terms of momentum. From the moment he arrived on the scene in Impact, Kross has been known for his barbaric nature, intense image, and intimidating aura. Completely ruthless, he isn’t afraid to get his hands on anyone who stands in his way and the chaos and pain awaiting them is sure to not come across as a pretty sight!
