Predicting When These Five NXT Names Will Join the Main Roster

The transition from NXT to the main roster is both an exciting and risky one with past call ups proving to go either way. Some previous stars of the black and gold brand have gone on to achieve huge things on either RAW or Smackdown LIVE including the likes of Seth Rollins, Charlotte Flair and Roman Reigns amongst many but its talent such as Tyler Breeze, Sanity, and Tye Dillinger who leave fans concerned about the call ups pending. In today’s blog post we are going to be looking at five popular NXT names of today and predicting exactly when they could make the jump to the main roster and what awaits them on the brand they could be sent to.

The Undisputed Era – The Night After SummerSlam/ Superstar Shakeup

The Undisputed era have been ready for a main roster call up for quite some time now and fans have expected the faction to make their arrival on the main roster way before now however, it appears as though it may be some time yet before we see these four stars make their way to either RAW or Smackdown LIVE. The Undisputed era has kick-started a new era of their own on the black and gold brand with Adam Cole still sure to achieve more there is still more to come from these guys before they make the jump. Now, of course, the WWE could bring these guys up separately, but it would be a huge and stupid mistake for them to make with the faction bringing more to the table as just that, a faction for the time being. Talking of time, now simply isn’t the right time for any of these superstars to arrive on the main roster. New faces are still yet to properly cement their place on the main roster and the Undisputed era face the risk of getting lost, not receiving the booking they deserve or overshadowing top NXT talent who have already been called up. The night after SummerSlam promises the start of something new and the perfect time for The Undisputed era to make their arrival.

It should also be noted that after Cole failed to capture the NXT championship during Wrestlemania weekend the Undisputed Era could, in fact, make a huge surprise debut this coming week during the superstar shake-up. Something I'm personally really hoping takes place! These guys have done so much already over on the black and gold brand that the transition seems right to take place this coming week, however, is timing truly on their side considering how stacked the roster currently is and the newcomers who are yet to make their own impact.

Candice LeRae – Late 2019 to Early 2020

Candice LeRae is a talent I know for a fact the WWE universe hasn’t seen a fraction of just yet. The WWE is yet to show the best of Candice and give her the in-ring time to truly make an impact and show what she can do. With Baszler moving up to the main roster, a new champion being crowned and the division growing NXT fans are set to see a real shift in the NXT women’s division and hopefully, we can begin to see more of Candice and see her ease into the championship picture. This is a woman more than worthy of a reign as champion in NXT and whether she gets there she will at least receive a shot at the title, more ring time, and more time to show what she can before she moves up. The WWE has shown they are high on her by placing her in the women’s Royal Rumble earlier this year, a second appearance in 2020 could mark the start of a permanent run on the main roster.

Tommaso Ciampa – Upon Return

If it wasn’t for his neck injury, I have no doubt that come the end of Wrestlemania season Tommaso Ciampa would have been working full time on the main roster but after undergoing surgery its clear that it will be sometime before we see Ciampa back in any ring let alone a RAW or Smackdown LIVE one. However, upon that return fans can expect Ciampa to make his arrival on the main roster and kick start the brand-new chapter of his career. A return at the Royal Rumble may be a very late one but with such a big injury it may not seem as farfetched not to mention this would be a great night for him to make a comeback!

Jessamyn Duke & Marina Shafir – The end of 2019

While former two-time NXT women’s champion Shayna Baszler may be ready for the bright lights of the main roster her pals Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir are nowhere near ready for that spotlight. Still extremely new to the world of pro wrestling their lack of experience is still very much clear whenever they step in the ring, if the two were to find themselves involved in the main roster anytime soon they will sure standout for all the wrong reasons! With plenty of work still to do Jessamyn and Marina need to learn to stand on their own two feet, gain some momentum, and win fans over in some capacity. The Four Horsewomen vs Four Horsewomen match will most certainly still take place but these two need plenty more time to work on their in-ring skill and match their tag team partners. It may be later in the year we see these two on the main roster but with the pair, favourites to go on to achieve tag team gold on the main roster there are no signs of that becoming a reality for the pair any time soon.

War Raiders – Early 2020

While I love the War Raiders and believe there are so many dream matches awaiting them on the main roster against the likes of the New Day, the Usos, and the Revival I can’t help but feel as though it will be a while before we see these two up on the main roster. The pair have already created a major impact on NXT but similarly to Candice, I believe we haven’t seen a fraction of what they are capable of. The WWE still have plenty more to show of these two before they make their arrival on either RAW or Smackdown LIVE and their reign as champions still have more to come. The WWE has plenty of work to do with their main roster tag team division and I would love to see them work on those teams and rebuilding the division to a better state before introducing War Raiders.

And those are some of the names I can't wait to see join the main roster and when I believe the could, in fact, do so. Remember these are just my personal opinions and when I believe they could make their debut! I personally wouldn’t want to see any of these talents make the jump to RAW or Smackdown LIVE just yet considering how many new faces have already been called up in recent months and still yet to be used correctly and placed on a brand but when these names do arrive they are sure to shake up their divisions.
