Why You Should Be Excited for Shayna Baszlers Main Roster Debut

Two-time NXT Women’s champion, two thousand and seventeen Mae Young Classic runners up, and one heck of an impressive representation, Shayna Baszler has kick-started her WWE career on a huge high! Dominating the NXT Women’s division, Baszler is a massively exciting prospect sure to go on to achieve greatness and take the WWE Women’s division to new heights. A couple of years down in the black and yellow brand, however, fans are beginning to speculate exactly when the Queen of Spades will make her arrival on the main roster and with the company forever teasing the four horsewomen rivalry, we may be seeing that call up take place very soon but why should you be excited for Shayna Baszler’s main roster debut? Let’s take a look.

The Formation of the Four Horsewomen

Prior to these women even debuting for the WWE, Ronda Rousey, Marina, Jessamyn and Shayna Baszler have been major talking points in the world of pro wrestling with the WWE Universe discussing the prospect of an eight-woman tag team match taking place between the four horsewomen of MMA and the four horsewomen of the WWE. The names above stepping in the ring against Sasha Banks, Bayley, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair has been a dream matchup for a few years now and with all eight women now under contract, it appears this inevitable match is edging even closer. Now, for this to happen we do of course need to see Baszler along with Jessamyn and Marina arrive on the main roster and Baszler’s debut is yet another step forward. With Rousey getting under the skin of all four women in the four horsewomen of the WWE it would make sense for Baszler and co to make an appearance in a matter of months and that itself is a very exciting prospect opening an array of doors!

To Face Ronda Rousey

While in my world of fantasy booking, I see Becky Lynch being crowned the new RAW Women’s Champion at Wrestlemania we must look at the possibility of the WWE keeping the title around the waist of Ronda Rousey and the options that await her in the months that will follow. Fresh new competition is a must and whether if it happens this year or the year after there has to be a strong belief that Shayna Baszler could very well challenge her friend to the title if given the opportunity. The pair, of course, know each other so incredibly well that the story writes itself. This is an angle the WWE would almost be stupid to miss out on there is no better way to introduce Baszler than have her turn on her friend and chase one of the most prestigious titles in the game.

Bringing Out the Best in Sonya Deville

Sonya Deville is real dark horse in the WWE right now and a superstar we must keep our eyes on. Throughout the past year, she has had some real special moments that have grabbed fan attention enough for her to be pointed out as a talent with serious potential to one day be champion. Seeing the very best of Deville and her capabilities is very much yet to come and there is no denying that Baszler is a woman capable of pushing Sonya to her limit and effectively creating a star and showing the very best of the former tough enough competitor. Both women are extremely similar and together could shake things up massively over on the blue brand and the women’s division.

The New Face of Smackdown LIVE

It’s very much likely that the WWE will eventually move Baszler over to Monday night RAW upon her main roster debut however, I strongly believe that it is, in fact, the blue brand that sits as her best option. Smackdown LIVE is in serious need of adding more depth to its women’s division and a talent like Baszler is exactly what they need especially to even things out a little. Throughout her run in NXT Shayna has dominated the roster bullying her way to the top and running on the belief that fear creates respect, seeing her replicate that on the main roster could be something really special. Shayna is such a strong character and has the potential to shake things up and change the dynamics of the blue brand massively! If Lynch is to move full time to Monday night RAW following Wrestlemania then SDLive will need a new top dog and who better than Baszler to take on that role? Not to mention the dream matches that await her there.

The Must-See Matches

Speaking of dream contests, Baszler has improved greatly throughout the past couple of years going from a pro wrestling rookie to having standout and strongly impressive bouts against the likes of Kairi Sane, Bianca Belair, and Nikki Cross to name a few. With that in mind, there is a list of women Shayna could get in the ring with and create some truly awesome matches alongside including names such as Natalya, Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, Asuka, and Becky Lynch as well as re-creating her rivalry with Ember Moon. We’ve spoken about Baszler bringing the best out of Sonya Deville, but the names above could very easily bring out the best in Baszler in terms of in-ring work and character development!

She’s What Ronda Rousey Should Have Been

While Baszler has received critique throughout her wrestling career, and it has been highlighted many times before that she lacks experience it cannot be denying that Baszler is an extremely talented WWE superstar forever improving in every aspect. I personally have previously gone on record to admit that I have been more entertained and impressed by her work than Rousey’s and while it may be unfair to compare the two it's evident that the two-time NXT Women’s champion has been everything Ronda Rousey should have been. The badass, the bully, the confidence, believing she is the very best and there is no true competition, going against rules, making up her own rules and shifting the feel of the women’s division completely is everything fans could have expected from a debuting Ronda Rousey but instead have gotten all that and more from Baszler. There is no denying Ronda has been massively impressive but the star of the four horsewomen of MMA since their arrival in the WWE has without a shadow of a doubt been Shayna and given the opportunity, she could so easily make an even bigger effect on the division and on fans than Rousey has done so far.

The baddest woman on the planet, Ronda Rousey has changed the women’s division massively! Beyond belief even but we must not sleep on the up and coming Shayna Baszler and the potential she truly poses. This is a woman coming for everyone’s spotlight and when she arrives on the main roster both fans and the women in the locker room best keep there eyes wide open.
