Superstars Who Could Switch Brands this Week

Next week the WWE will present the superstar shake up and I must admit, despite the brand split turning out a little messy in recent months I’m very excited for the week ahead! In today’s blog post we are going to be diving into the up and coming superstar shake-up as I discuss some of the potential names, we could see switch brands including NXT and 205LIVE call ups!

 Buddy Murphy – to RAW

Throughout the past year, Buddy Murphy has been one of the most consistent, entertaining and important factors on the 205LIVE roster. Taking part in truly outstanding matches against the likes of Cedric Alexander, Tony Nese, and Mustafa Ali amongst many he has completely turned his WWE career around and the future looks very bright for this former champion. Now, after dropping the Cruiserweight title this past Sunday at Wrestlemania many have been questioning what is next for Murphy and in my opinion moving to either RAW or Smackdown LIVE is exactly what should be awaiting this top 205LIVE star. We have seen Mustafa make the shift from Cruiserweight division to the main the roster and has had a very successful few months since his debut and its clear that if anyone is to follow in his footsteps then it has to be Murphy. The Australian star has done all he can on 205LIVE and has more than earned a place on the main roster full time!

Braun Strowman- To Smackdown Live

After appearing on Smackdown LIVE last week targeting Samoa Joe many believe that the move from RAW to Smackdown LIVE is most certainly on the horizon and it’s a decision I personally can get behind! I’ve said it before and I will say it again, the blue brand is exactly where Strowman needs to be at this stage of his career. The WWE has made a big mess of the monsters push and momentum and the damage has almost gone too far to turn around if he is to remain on Monday night RAW. The fresh start is massively needed for Braun and with his sights already set on the US title and Samoa Joe, an exciting rivalry and few months already await him.

Shelton Benjamin – To RAW

As a big-time, Shelton Benjamin fan, I have been very disappointed with how the WWE has booked him since his return to the company. Turning things around for Shelton isn’t something that will come easy but looking at the future I’m confident Benjamin will be a man most certainly set to switch brands. A random bout against Seth Rollins a couple of weeks back was a slight indication Benjamin could be making the move this week during the superstar shake up and while I don’t believe a huge push awaits him on Monday nights the fresh batch of opponents promises some great one on ones the WWE could easily book and at least a shot at the IC title could be on the cards in the future for a collision with Finn Balor makes for something I would love to witness!

Ember Moon – to Smackdown LIVE

Ember Moon is another WWE superstar I hate to say has been massively mistreated and underutilised. Since her debut, the former NXT Women’s champion has had some great moments and fans have shown their support for her on several different occasions, yet a push is something the WWE is yet to go ahead with. Moving Moon over to Smackdown LIVE means dream encounters against the likes of Charlotte Flair await her as well as meeting with Asuka once again. The Smackdown LIVE women’s division is great need of more depth and Moon is a woman who can really achieve exactly that and a talent the division on the blue brand will massively benefit from.

Drew McIntyre to Smackdown LIVE

Similarly, to Braun Strowman, Drew McIntyre made a huge impact this past Tuesday on Smackdown LIVE when he joined Cesaro and Sheamus to take on the New Day in the main event. Setting his sights on the WWE champion McIntyre has made his presences felt on the blue brand and I have been left desperately wanting to see him make the move this coming week. Now, on Monday I do have a blog post looking at five reasons why I believe he should move to Smackdown so keep an eye out for that!

Pete Dunne – to RAW

With NXT UK stars now looking to move over to either RAW or Smackdown LIVE its perfectly clear to everyone that there is one man who must make the move above any other, Pete Dunne. The former United Kingdom champion dropped the title during Wrestlemania weekend to WALTER and fans have been left desperate to see the Bruiserweight make the move to the main roster. Already in his early career, Dunne has achieved so much including a historic and dominant reign as champion and has more than earned a spot on either RAW or Smackdown LIVE. Now, to be fair, either show would make for a great home for the Bruiserweight but can't help but feel as though its Monday nights where he truly belongs.

Rhea Ripley & Reina Gonzalez – to Smackdown LIVE

Okay, so this one may seem extremely random and farfetched but hear me out! This past week on Smackdown LIVE Paige promised to bring a tag team of her own to the WWE and of course, while she could have been talking about standing alongside Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville once again I believe its fresh faces fan can expect to see make their debut on their RAW or Smackdown LIVE. Looking at the NXT roster, however, and there aren’t many options apart from one team who standout massively! Despite not yet making their NXT TV debut together Rhea Ripley and Reina Gonzalez have been working alongside each other as a tag team for the past few months. NXT live events, YouTube clips of them away from the ring and images across the internet have shown that this is a team with fantastic chemistry and potential. The two-sport the same edgy look Paige does and together I believe this could be a very exciting trio and direction for Paige. Keep a look out for these two new faces set to possibly dominant the women’s tag team division in a surprise debut next week.

Sanity – to RAW

Since their debut Sanity hasn’t truly done anything. The WWE has completely failed this dominant faction and I could not be more frustrated and disappointed, however, this week these three superstars have an opportunity to turn things around and the WWE have the chance to finally give these guys the push and attention they deserve. Monday night RAW is in need of something new an fresh in their tag team division and a faction most certainly is needed all round. Adding Nikki Cross back to this faction is a total must and this fresh start overall is exactly what Sanity need to turn things around.

The Revival – To Smackdown LIVE

And The final two superstars I just must talk about today is, of course, The Revival. It’s pretty simple, the Smackdown LIVE tag team division is incredibly strong and with teams such as the Hardy Boyz, the New Day, and the Usos on the roster there are so many dream matches awaiting Dash and Dawson. I also believe that the blue brand handle the tag team division a heck of a lot stronger and it's here the Revival will truly be able to show the WWE universe why they are one of the best tag teams in the world today.

And those are just some of the names I believe will switch brands or at least should make the move next week! I, of course, would love to know what you think so feel free to leave a comment below or tweet me over at @TezangiVictoria letting me know who you want to see switch brands next week.
